Opinion from outside the UK
Hi. Before buying these tyres myself, I spent a lot of time comparing offers and later reading through Your comments. I drive a tall car as for a passenger car of course:-) (citroen berlingo II) and the tyre must be good enough so that the car does not swim. In the beginning, I chose Nokian Line in size 205/65 R15 (the original manufacturer's size for summer). After fitting them, I immediately felt uncomfortable driving! The car was skidding along the road, left then right, but I had the steering wheel in my hands and I knew I had to drive straight! It turned out that two of the tyres have a manufacturing defect. I made a complaint and (oponeo) found out that two of them were good and two were not. I got a refund for the defective tyres and the good tyres were sent back to me (oponeo covered the shipping costs both ways). I decided to sell the two tyres (because my confidence was compromised, and we all probably don't have time for such stories) and buy a new set of tyres. I looked through the comments again and finally decided to buy BFGoodrich G-Grip 195/65 R15 95 T XL. For my car this size is recommended for winter, but hey, what gives;-) And these tyres turned out to be a hit! I bought them in April. Now it is the beginning of October and I have driven about 10,000 kilometres. I live outside the city, I commute to work every day, then around the city, then back home. They have also proved their worth on longer trips of 500 km a day. After fitting, the car drove like a charm! (despite the fact that the precision of the steering system in the Berlingo is not exactly perfect) On a dry road it drives superbly. On wet I'll write frankly that somewhere in there I'm not entirely sure, but that's only at too high a speed (so above 120). Tread wear: after 10,000 on the rear axle (I didn't measure in detail), no wear is visible. The front a bit more, but to my eye they will last three seasons at my mileage for sure. Fuel consumption...the increase was certainly not there! Comfort...it depends on each individual...I have no complaints. I'm driving my family around and I feel comfortable not thinking about the fact that there can be something wrong with the tyres! So that's what it's all about! Regards. Read more Collapse

I have covered about 11,000 km on these tyres. I have had Michelin and Dunlop tyres before so I have a point of reference. The two mentioned were basically inaudible, and they wore out very quickly. BF Goodrich tyres can be heard in a certain range of speeds, in my car about 70-90 km/h, depending on the road surface, but it is not a tragedy. Above these speeds the noise of the car makes the tyres basically inaudible. What I can say for sure is that the tyres are superb on wet roads. In the pouring rain, the traction control system is not even engaged when I drive into a rut full of water, whereas on the Dunlops it was sometimes a bit funny. When it comes to rolling resistance - fuel consumption - the BFGoodrich does indeed have more resistance. In my car, which is quite heavy (205/60/16 tyres), the average fuel consumption increased from 6.5 to 7.3-7.5 litres (mixed 50/50 road/city driving, often more urban). If I were to choose tyres for the second time in this price range I would not hesitate, once again BFGoodrich. Exceptional grip/water evacuation - which was a priority for me and low tyre wear. I bought the tyres after analysing the opinions of other users, the labelling on the manufacturer's website, the professional tests carried out on different tyres (published on the internet). The choice was a conscious one. Definitely, the tyres behave very well on both dry and wet surfaces: confident starting and braking. Appearance is purely subjective, durability after 12,000 km - seems satisfactory. The greatest assets of these tyres are rolling resistance and noise. Noticeably lower than my previous tyres, and I have ridden on tyres from various manufacturers - after replacing the tyres, the fuel consumption dropped by about 13% I decided not to go for cheaper tyres, and was convinced by the braking tests on various surfaces carried out on different tyre brands (including Chinese). Life is worth much more than the few coins more spent on quality tyres, which are our (the car's) contact with the road and cannot fail even in the most extreme situations. Read more Collapse

I will correct some additional information at the beginning :). I have an Opel Omega A 2.0l. Rear-wheel drive, and these tyres are fitted to the rear. Driving style- when I drive alone, I like to go crazy:D. Place of use- outskirts of the city, mainly as a route. road surface- all types. The tyres are initially quite noisy, i.e. above 80km/h they make a noise as if the bearing in the hub needed to be replaced. This inconvenience disappears after about 3000km. I bought them in winter and I must say that they work well on slippery surfaces. I would highlight that no tyre will be good on snow or ice if the speed is not adapted to the driving conditions :):). The tyres react the same way on wet or dry pavement. I have not yet had a skid on them. Sometimes you can feel a slight resistance, as if you were driving against the wind. Read more Collapse

Despite their hard sidewalls, which give them excellent grip in corners, the tyres are quite comfortable. In addition, while in the dry I would like even more although they are really great, in the wet they lack exactly nothing! I was driving on the motorway in a downpour with most drivers in the right lane and calmly 90-100 I was doing 150 and the tyres had no tendency to float. Another time I had a cloudburst in a city I did not know, despite the floating roadway, the only thing I had to fight with was visibility, because there was so much water from the cloud or fountains from under my wheels. So on the water they are a real marvel. As for the wear, I've got about 17-18 thousand miles on them and so far they're draining like new, because it poured again recently on the motorway and I didn't have to slow down. Read more Collapse

I have been using these tyres for some time now, during which time they have covered over 10,000 kilometres, and I have a few comments regarding this tyre. On dry pavement it's great, almost as good as the Yoko C Drive, and much quieter at motorway speeds than the aforementioned tyres. The tyre is reasonably comfortable, rolling resistance is not the highest level, but not the worst, and it's really durable. Unfortunately all this comes at the price of performance on wet roads, and this is where the problems arise. I have a RWD to that in a diesel with quite high torque and in the rain it begins to struggle with traction and abs goes crazy. The Yoko had 2mm to the restrictor and made fewer flops than the current tyres. You really have to watch yourself, for me it's a failure ! Read more Collapse

Fourth season on these tyres, approx. 40-50,000 km, up to this season 4 even made in Romania from 2009; since then 2 made in Poland + 2 Romanian. I will keep it short and to the point: the best tyres I have ever ridden are the continental premium contact. the tyre is excellent in both dry and wet, in very high temperatures and in winter-cold as well. I dare say it performs even better than my winter tyres in the autumn (dayton dw 500 - not recommended). It rides very well both in calm city driving and at speed limits. The tyre is predictable, reasonably quiet, good absorption of bumps, and what's the best - durable, 2 Romanian tyres look almost like new when purchased this year...2 unfortunately "cut off" due to a failure in the rear suspension. I have only been on them for a little less than a season, so it is a little early for an evaluation. First observations: definitely very soft and comfortable tyres. They absorb bumps perfectly. They grip the road perfectly both in dry and in wet conditions (this is probably the most important). I feel confident driving on them. The downside: you can hear them quite clearly, especially on bends. (truth be told I'm comparing it to the quietest winter tyres I've ever had). Fuel consumption is also noticeably higher than on the old Michelins (albeit slippery ones) (about +0.2l). In general, I recommend as an ardent fan of this brand (of off-road vehicles) Read more Collapse

I bought the tyres in the spring. The reviews were ok, the price reasonable, so I bought it. First rain and I'm shocked.... The rear of the car danced terribly even on small bends. When driving on dry road surfaces you constantly feel oversteer in corners. The rubber is very soft and in bends you can feel how it bends on the rim (87% absorbers and new springs). At temperatures around 5-6 degrees this effect disappears. On the motorway, the tyre is fine, but take your foot off the gas in bends. It is rather quiet and suppresses bumps reasonably well. Compared to the UNIROYAL RALLYE 550, it is very poor.... not recommended.... Read more Collapse

I purchased a set of tyres because of the very good reviews on oponeo.pl. I have not been disappointed. The tyres cover a minimum of 50 km every day, including a mountain pass 700 m above sea level, where the conditions are very often changeable - from wet, slippery to dry with sand, and each time the traction is predictable, the handling is certain and safe. On a long drive of over 500km on the motorway, the handling is also confident. Worth noting, the tyres show no sign of wear after almost 10,000 km. They are great, I am considering winter tyres of this brand. I recommend! Read more Collapse

I drove about 5000 km, about half in the city, the rest beyond. I've had a few downpours and the tyres have held up very well, even though some streets/roads were almost covered with water. During the hot weather in July and August, I didn't feel that the tyres were performing any worse either. A sudden move of the steering wheel, bouncing to another lane at 130 km/h in order to avoid a bumper flying on the motorway without losing control over the car, confirms me in the belief that the tyres were a pretty good choice - although I know that it is partly due to the ESP ;) Read more Collapse

The tyre is pitiful in the wet, starting and braking is similar to the BARUM BRILLANTIS 2, which means it is tragic. The Chinese Nankangs in my previous car performed better. It performs well in the dry, but there are very few tyres that perform badly there. Generally I do not recommend it. My car only has 75hp and all I have to do in the wet is to move faster and the front end is constantly bouncing and breaking traction. Next time I will consider the Uiroyal RainExpert because they are at a similar price and I know that they behave much better:) Read more Collapse

In my opinion, this is one of the best tyres, long distances (300 km - holidays) or daily use in mixed mode 10 km highway 15 in the city on these tyres is pure pleasure, in my view, on a wet surface performs excellent, I will add the details of the vehicle it is a 2001 Avensis Kombi with 1.6l engine 110 km, whether I drive alone or there is a full set of passengers on board makes no difference. When cornering they grip the road very well (for the capabilities of the suspension :) ) very good braking on wet surfaces Read more Collapse

I am a taxi driver. I use the tyres on my VW T4, as I don't drive loads, but people, and I tried to choose tyres so that the comfort is as high as possible while maintaining safety. After about 40,000 km, the tyres are at most half worn - so they will easily last another season, and then I will think about new ones. I do 80% of my mileage in the city, the rest on the road, driving style: moderate, average speed on the road 90-110km/h. Balance is simple, straight rims and minimal weights are sufficient. My second set of these tyres, so I'm pleased with their driving feed-back and grip. They give a comfortable, quiet ride and last quite well too. As I've already mentioned, these tyres' steering and grip levels are both good and dependable, even in the wet. Will I buy another set ? very likely, they do everything well and don't cost too much - nothing to dislike, it would be easy to buy tyres that aren't as good. Well worth a try on medium sized cars, from my experience. Read more Collapse

I bought the tyres because I had previously used the company's winter tyres and off-roads. Both have performed very well and this time I was not disappointed either. The G-Grip has great behaviour on dry and wet surfaces, even in very hot weather. They are quite quiet, even at 140 km/h on the motorway the noise is not too harsh. They accelerate well, even sharply, and there are no problems with braking either. A very good choice for a medium-sized car. Read more Collapse

I am truly satisfied with the purchase of these tyres. I don't drive very fast but sometimes I am in a hurry so I always buy good tyres. These tyres work very well on all road surfaces. I have never managed to put the car into a skid during normal driving in traffic. After the first season, the tread is still really high - higher than I expected. The only downside is that these tyres are noisy - noticeably louder than all the ones I've had so far. Read more Collapse

A very good summer tyre. Relatively soft mix, which at the temperatures we've been experiencing lately means that more often than on other tyres you can hear squealing when starting off faster and taking sharper turns. This does not, however, negatively affect traction or cornering grip. The tyre performs very well in the dry, but in the wet it feels strange as it feels like it grips even better. I can in all honesty recommend it. Read more Collapse

A reasonably priced tyre. I was not entirely convinced when I made the purchase, but compared to my previous very hard and slippery tyres, this one works very well. It is very soft, has good absorption, relatively quiet and my car is very poorly soundproofed so this is an important issue for me. After about 5k km, I see no signs of wear apart from the factory "cushion" layer. I recommend it 100% at this price - great tyre :) Read more Collapse

The tyres can be recommended to anyone who likes and appreciates safety for modest money, So far, I have not "seen" any negative findings despite some audible tyre resistance while driving, but I think that the car I have has poor soundproofing of the vehicle and this may be the reason. Good tire for those who prefer calm and moderate driving style. After about 10000 km do not see any signs of wear or damage. Grip on wet surfaces and sharper curves could be better, but I think that most of the tire in such a situation has reduced adhesion so the tragedy does not. To sum up - I recommend the purchase.
