Opinion from outside the UK
They were perfect when they were new. I felt like driving in train. My car sticked to the road it didnt matter if it was a corner or straight road. Efficient behaviour on wet surface as well as in puddles. I was crossing 1.5 - 2.0 cm puddles without notice. At high speeds and corners full of water you will be able to turn on every single tracking system. Over 100mph very loud. You can notice the sound just while driving 25mph.The maximum speed that i drove was 136mph. It grips very well. No slipping in corners. No squeaking. And now the biggest disadvantage: after 21k mi they feathered. Read more Collapse

I admit that I dont know what to say about these tyres. They seem to grip well on dry road and they are not bad on wet road as well. On the other hand there are plenty of better alternatives for Bridgestone RE050. These tyres are loud and that fact can be annoying when driving on highway. If they are a bit used they dont behave well anymore. I put 2 new tyres on my front axle and on my rear axle I had them with 4mm tread - they lose grip very easily in tight corners. Great tyre especialy on dry road. On wet road safe as wel but when moving off too fast wheels can wobble. A small disadvantege is their agressive tread which forces you to fight with the steering wheel while accelerating. Over 180km/h a bit noisy (much more noisy than Michelin Primacy - which I had before). Overall, awesome tyres.A bit expensive but they are worth their price if oyu like fast driving. I used a lot of different tyres. I have BMW 528 194BHP and Bridgestone RE050 behaves good on dry road. No noticeable noice. People complain that these tyres are loud... maybe they have poor vehicles. In my BMW i cannot hear anything. Attriction is low as well. I just worn my set and now I'm buying them again. If somebody wants to slip I advise them to buy Pirelli's. Read more Collapse

First Bridgestones in my life and last for sure. I dont care that they grip on wet and dry road and that they look nice. I dont care that they rub off not so fast but its just a nightmare after driving 10000km because of the noise. It feels like you have totaly damaged bearings. I dont recommend! Read more Collapse

I drove "few kilometers" in my life, but I have to say that i didn't wear so poor tyres.. My Bridgestones RE050 rubbed off after 20000km. The noise that they generate is just a nightmare. I dont know what was the point for Bridgestone to offer such weak tyres. Read more Collapse

I am disappointed. On dry Bridgestones Re050 are fantastic... unfortunately on wet road f.e in puddles they are a total disaster. The attriction is too high. after driving 14.000km there was 4mm of the tread left. These tyres are a total misunderstanding. Read more Collapse

I definitely recommend Bridgestone RE050. it grips to the road like no other tyre. In comparison - Dunlop Sp9000 on amateur race track I made a lap in 1:41. On RE050 in 1:19. Perfect tyres. Read more Collapse

I drove on Bridgestone RE050 a total of 38 TYS.KM. In April 2014 I bought a new set and so far after driving 15 thousand miles (as of September 2014) I think that without a problem even take a ride in the 2015 season a total of about 40 thousand miles on one set of what I think is a very good result in the limo, which no drive to the rear and 300 horses. As long as the tread is at least 5mm tire is doing very well on dry roads and drains water well in the wet. As for the noise and ekonomii- hard to evaluate tires with a width of 245 mm in this respect - quietly will never be a good grip is the opposite of economics ... Read more Collapse

I use a size 245/45/17 run flat in the BMW 535 d, 286 horses. The tire has a very good grip in dry conditions, despite the significant power of the car very hard to break traction on the straight. At speeds of up 260km / h, tire heavily worn, the car still holds the road very well! The wet feel less grip but you can still rely on the tire. A good resistance to aquaplaning, especially when the tire is new, over time, of course, falls stoponiowo. System run-flat can not fault, and I see no difference in comfort-compared with a standard Nokian winter in size 225/50/17. Read more Collapse
I did them maybe 30 000 km. Rear August wyzabkowaly and halasowaly unmercifully. Well August are stuck on dry. Car runs Aug. very confident and clear when you lose grip in August. They are very hard and you can tell with my eyes closed and then August is going. On wet also gave but do the trick. The worst was the noise and this ustarka - wyzabkowanie. Because they are directional so theoretically you can not wear them with reverse rotation. This is a big drawback. Next tires I already asymmetric. My were Made in Poland. Read more Collapse

The tire in a strong OSCE gives revel. To dziadkowego driving style pity money, to quickly move around the city and even occasionally on the track as much as possible. This is obviously not semislick, but it gives advice. I compare to Pirelli Zero Nero, Toyo T1R, Vredesteinów and Conti 3 With these I would choose again 050 The difference is colossal Read more Collapse
