I am amused by the opinions of drivers who rave about the super continental, saying that the tyre does not wear out, and driving supposedly aggressively in super powerful cars. It's either a fairy tale or you really do drive like a jackass. I bought the tyres for my 2012 Passat B5FL, which gets beaten up day in and day out. I drive in Silesia on good roads, but I do not save tyres and after two seasons and 35,000 km the tyres have about 5 mm. In dry and wet conditions it is perfect, and what is important, the tyre does not rumble or tootle, which in the case of a powerful engine and lightweight rear often happens. I hope it will last another 2 seasons. I hope it will last another 2 seasons. Unfortunately, it squeaks when starting off dynamically in the dry, and starting off in the wet often triggers the ESP. Compared to the competition, it is definitely high, whether it is the best tyre on the market is hard to say, because as many drivers as many opinions. However, in comparison with Bridgeston or Vredestein I do not see any significant differences. Definitely the biggest plus is the compound, which at higher speeds in corners does not make the car float. Read more Collapse

I have a Golf V GTI DSG (200hp, front drive, car weighs about 1300kg), tyres size 225/45 R17 91Y. My previous summer tyres were Bridgestone Potenza S001 - a big mistake in my car. These Continentals, on the other hand, are really good. Very, very good. They have excellent grip in corners, and their performance in the wet is simply exemplary. The only disadvantage I found was when starting off: they lose grip, and in the wet they lose a lot of it. Granted, unlike the Potenz S001, the car doesn't dance around on the road and the ESP doesn't go crazy, but it's still not ideal. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a tyre that offers super grip and resistance to aquaplaning (or is there?). Also, the tyres are quite noisy - but I guess all UHP tyres are like that. In general, I recommend them highly, and I think my next summer tyres will also be from this series - unless I buy Pirelli P Zero or some Yokoham. Read more Collapse

Hi. If anyone, like me, has previously ridden on ContiSportContact 2 and CSC 3 do not buy this tyre. This tyre has nothing to do with those mentioned except the name. The tyre is made in germany. The worst is on dry asphalt. Starting off is much worse than with older models, not to mention when the road is slightly dirty. Cornering handling is adequate but not very firm, and with a load rating of 94 there is no comfort whatsoever when driving in town. I changed the Conti for the Pirelli model P Zero. The driving experience is like that of a cheap Chinese tyre. For me, the ContiSportContact ended with the 3 model, although I have the best memories of the 2. Regards. Read more Collapse

The tyres fitted as a new set to a ford s-max from the beginning caused problems with run-out and balancing. the whole set was manufactured in slovakia in the factory there (according to the description on the tyre). No help whatsoever from rearranging the tyres in different places and on different sides of the car - beating and vibrations were already noticeable at speeds of about 90 km/h. A small amount of wheel reassembly performed on the car helped (RIMS CHECKED) After one season, i.e. approx. 30,000 km, the tyres are fit for the rubbish bin Read more Collapse
ford s-max
It was fitted to a car that is not very dynamic. However, after 15000 km, 3 out of 4 tyres are serrated (no fault of suspension, checked at several companies). From 7-8 mm of tread there is 5-6 mm left, and this is only the first season. Moderate driving style in and out of town. No more tyres from this manufacturer. However, the price does not go with the quality. I tried to complain, but I was told by the service centre that they would not accept the complaint. I now have a problem selling them on. I would definitely advise against it. Read more Collapse

A tyre you can definitely rely on. There are virtually no weak points, as it handles the road extremely well. Driving in the rain is not a problem. Very good in the dry. It is quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately the tread is fading fast and after one season and 30k km there is not much left of the front tyres. I drive a heavy car (audi a4) with a powerful engine and I don't spare tyres, but even the previous fast-wearing Dunlop SportMaxxes lasted 2 seasons. As for me, the next tyres are Michelin or Yokohama. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres after doing a perfect 60000km with the sportcontact2, what can I say, they are perfect tyres, I have never had any problems with loss of grip, nor has it ever happened that some electronic stability control light came on, and between these sportcontact5 and the 2 I have covered more than 100,000km in all weather conditions. I would definitely recommend them and as far as I'm concerned, I'll only ever use Continental for both summer and winter tyres. Read more Collapse

A versatile tyre for high performance cars, good on dry and wet roads, and that's what it's supposed to be. As for durability, on average I change front tyres every year. I've seen comments criticizing durability, which is not true, I mean there are tyres that wear faster and don't offer as much grip and comfort, the critical comments are a kind of anti-advertising. By comparison I had Dunlop Sport Max, Bridgestone Potenza, Yokohama Advan A10, Good Year Asymetrico. Read more Collapse

Front drive car 200km, I drive quite fast, they have saved me a few times, they are my best tyres I have had, the only and biggest downside- they only lasted me a year! For one year I covered about 25,000 km. I have had many other tyres on the same car before, from Michelin HP, Turanza, dunlop sp 01 sprot, pirelli P7, toyo proxes ... there was a lot, but the continental really stands out for its wet and dry grip, cornering and braking. The tyre is generally so-so. Tyre durability is a mockery - after three years of use on good (new roads), only in the summer season (approx. 15,000 km) do they come to an end. Quite noisy, despite the stated parameters. It handles well in the dry, but in the wet... I somehow do not trust it. I could easily buy something better for this money. Read more Collapse

Incredibly poor wear for such an expensive tyre........ I drive a merc C220 sport and yes your always going to get more wear to the rear but its awful. For my style of driving which i would assume would be rerasonably normal i have to look at hankook as a comparison........sorry conti's just not good enough Read more Collapse
