Opt for the best German technology and choose the Continental EcoContact 7 tyre. This is the latest model in an economy-oriented series from a premium manufacturer. The proposal surprises with several innovative solutions, influencing not only energy savings, but also driving comfort during the summer season.
World-class driving performance and economy
The EcoContact range consists of products focused on high energy efficiency. In practice, it translates into real fuel savings, but also the car's acceleration or braking efficiency. The seventh instalment of the series introduces two developments, further improving on the already exorbitant performance of its predecessor:
- Smart Energy Casing - is a specialised material used in the construction of the tread, minimising energy consumption during tyre deformation when rolling. This ensures that the rubber maintains its optimum shape regardless of speed or load. In addition, this technology increases the durability of the tyres and their resistance to incidental damage.
- Aero Dim-ple design - a concept inspired by research from the world of conventional sports. Special inserts on the sidewalls, which improve the aerodynamics of the tyre, were developed based on an analysis of the structure of golf balls. As a result, they reduce resistance, which affects fuel efficiency, especially on longer journeys.
Continental EcoContact 7 - comfort and economy in one
However, the German market leader's designers did not just stop at creating a tyre that was more economical than its highly regarded predecessor. They went a step further and, to offer a much more comfortable ride introduced ContiSilent technology.
The soundproofing technology is based on an additional layer of high-density polyurethane foam. Its structure helps to reduce rolling tyre noise by up to 9 dB. It's a difference that is noticeable from the first ride. In addition, the asymmetrical tread of the tyre features Silent Pattern noise-reducing inserts. These are cross-cut grooves that suppress vibrations transmitted from the wheels to the car body. You will appreciate the technology especially in city traffic, where you often have to reduce speed or accelerate.
The latest innovation in the seventh generation of the EcoContact line is a rubber compound with active polymers designed to reduce rolling resistance. Thanks to its road-adapting structure, it can noticeably reduce fuel consumption, but without compromising driving dynamics.
All these developments mean that the tyre will also perform well in electric cars.
The German brand Continental needs no introduction to any car enthusiast. This prestigious premium company has been supplying the market with top-quality products for many years, often setting new trends for the entire tyre industry. The Continental Group is also heavily involved in the world of motorsport. It also has the well-known companies Barum and Uniroyal under its wing.
