Firestone WINTERHAWK 2

3PMSF

The tyre meets the European Union's requirements for winter tyres

Carries the 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Flake) symbol, which is awarded after the model in question has been thoroughly tested for snow grip.

Tyre details:

The Firestone WINTERHAWK 2 features a tread similar to that of the Firestone WINTERHAWK. It is manufactured using a cutting-edge silica-enhanced rubber compound, which ensures that the tyre retains optimum softness even in extreme winter temperatures. Long mileages are guaranteed thanks to the uniform distribution of forces acting on the tyre surface. This means that the tread wears slowly and evenly, providing drivers with outstanding performance and eliminating worries over deterioration due to use. The tread surface is covered with blade sipes, which provide extra protection on slippery surfaces. The zigzag sipe design creates a greater number of sharp edges, which "bite" into the ground. The blades guarantee shorter braking distances, as well as more dynamic starting and acceleration.

The wide circumferential channels which help to evacuate water from under the tyre also improve driving performance in deep water. This means that the tyre dries out quickly, reducing the risk of aquaplaning and snowplaning. The link in the centre of the tread guarantees smooth and stable driving. Steering behaviour has also been improved by increasing the size of the shoulder blocks. The three-dimensional groove design also creates a more rigid structure, which helps to reduce vibrations and noise and make journeys quieter and more comfortable.

The Firestone WINTERHAWK 2 is a mid-market winter tyre designed for mid- and high-range passenger cars with high-performance engines. The model features a computer-enhanced tread design, which ensures a large contact area between the tyre and the road. This results in short braking distances and accurate steering, regardless of the weather or road surface. The uniform distribution of forces acting on the tyre's surface ensures that the tread wears evenly on every side, resulting in a longer service life and improved driving comfort.

Finally froze and snowed :) So you can write something about these tyres. Purchased before the season, so most of the course of the dry and wet surfaces. Under such conditions, the tyre works very well. It's hard to have any objections to them. Tyres disperse water very well and retain grip on the little rain. The biggest plus of this tyre is comfort, which is confirmed by most of the comments. After the snowfall was as well. Very good traction on packed snow, great lateral support, a very good performance in slush. Changes in the snow belt ruts smooth (at 80km / h). The only drawback (which is why only 4), a somewhat surprising behavior at low speed on a deep, kopnym snow. Tread very quickly kills the snow and the car is able to slide forward and back (back even more), but it's only at low speeds, so it is manageable (maybe it's just the wine sticky snow, yet there was such a phenomenon that is not I was expecting). Under such conditions, however, better suited Debica Frigo :) About driving on the ice is hard to say, because I have not been ice, but the ice is not strong, so in case I give the fourth Overall tank particularly recommendable that the price offered for the quality is very advantageous. An additional nice touch: All that I have made in Poland :) Greetings to all road users :) Read more Collapse

Fantastic performance on snow, slush and the rain. I had the opportunity to crawl Syndication is the first attack of winter. I recommend to all buyers, especially drivers of a strong driving style. Aquaplaning to control when changing lane at higher prędkościac. Perfectly meet the needs of the snow (aggressive bites of fresh powder). RECOMMEND to all people who want to change the tyres - the NEW valve replacement because I dropped one and unfortunately I made a little kapciu. After replacing the tyre valve proved to be intact after driving on without air holes. Distance covered in two days: Olsztyn - Łódź - Katowice - Łódź - Olsztyn. 1200 km and full of admiration. Almost all of the cars were left behind, when a passing (overtaking the nieośnieżonym waist). I have experience in driving on the other winter tyres, but the tyres have never met. Included in emergency braking on wet nawieżchni: Better than good! A new model of the tread, I recommend buying Winterhawk 2 (with 1 will be hard to choose a new tyre, as production stopped). Tyres designed for winter conditions, my attention: Dear snow: Auto confident cornering, the tyres bite well in the snow. Riding in front, holds the road well, and rise up the hill, probably going to the front. Unmade road firmly underneath snowy ice, no problems up the hill, the tyres very well in these conditions. The road of mud pośniegowym, very well draining wet snow. The road after the rain without snow, sorry for a ride in my car, exemplary discharge of rain, the behavior of the vehicle without reservation. Dry road, and express S8 190 km / h silence, probably holds the car to the road. Osiedlowa snowy road: Not controlled slip rear axle with a sharp bypassing another vehicle, light Katra and calm return to the straight ahead position. Friability after 3 months of 1 - 2 mm. High aquaplaning resistance and slip. Good performance thanks to the longitudinal grooves in the mud. Properties of snow tires in starting and braking definitely worse than the previous version of the tire. While driving, the tire behaves more stable and keeps track. Generally OK but I think the Firestone Winterhawk 2 I was one of the best winter tires, which can easily compete with the `Ultra Grip and Alpin. With the model I, I turned the car on the road as if it were glued and not snow, is you could will be released from any snow. The successors missing something and had to be generally better than the previous version. They improved at deprimento of others and do not think that in the overall assessment came to the +, quite the contrary. Read more Collapse

Hi, I see that this is a novelty and tyre no comments yet so something pre skrobnę. I bought it because I had winterhawki earlier version, and I was pleased with them so I bought this in the dark without an opinion. First impressions are that it is tyre very quiet, no squeaks and hums. in the rain and when braking sensational and puddles do not make much of an impression on it but in the end it is new and has a high tread. very good grip in the wet. pre-rode in the range of 5 - 18 degrees on dry and wet but I have them only two weeks. I travel a lot because it certainly write what happens on snow, ice and how it rubs off. so far this pre. oh my view is definitely quieter winterchawk2 from winterkawka earlier. Read more Collapse

In-law is riding on Debice Frigo - 2008 Ford Focus Wagon 1.6 dies there is no problem of driving away the hill, driving the deeper the snow, I'm going after him then I have problems driving away, quite often I can not leave without the aid - Firestone Winterhawk 2 - Audi A6 2.0 TDI 2007. Tow sideways slide and finally bury. You need a shovel to remove virtually all the snow from the tyres and a few meters on the run. It does not help disable ABS, ESP. I do not recommend these tyres just because of a problem with the starting, the other parameters suit me. This is a disadvantage of these tyres, I think, to be discriminatory, even in light of the hills (starting) with 10-20 cm of snow, and now run over before. Read more Collapse

The choice fell on Firestone because I could not buy in any way the Nokian + W. But it had to be an opinion, and then: very quiet tires (rolling resistance), in dry conditions so far without problems, through the mud and the snow like a knife through butter, and remains stable. And now some disadvantages: on the frozen asphalt quickly loses grip under braking, but when you go on all the time so we can stand pulls. Not yet tested sull`alta snow - without cubes - blocks (but has a lot of cuts) so do not know if you do not intappa with snow - but now only guess, when we will see a lot of snow falls. Typically I recommend - are definitely much better than Debica fridge, I had primary (are quieter and better) Read more Collapse

Really great tires for the winter. Check on both wet and dry snow. With these tires easily I left with a deep wet snow without the use of chains on the surface covered with ice also led to stable without creating problems during braking. What saved me from solid bell when the road had become glass. Ideally also worked well in the wet, even when driving through deep puddles. Riding on these tires is very quiet and comfortable. I got the impression that these donuts were quieter than the summer which rarely happens. Tires have not shown any wear intimidating three seasonal use. With a clear conscience recommend. I must admit that I was worried after I purchase, but I'm very happy, the car runs great, in the winter I never once uncontrolled skid. At the end of the winter and were buried Lublin gigantic traffic jams all over the city just was ice under the little hill people could not drive, I'm on the tyrech hockey when starting uphill even I turned the wheels. In fact, at temperatures above 15 degrees in the black tyre gets awfully soft and noisy, but finally this winter so it is no wonder. Inhibition very good, not even involve ABS, ESP with ryszaniu was not too much what to do because they chose snow tyres Super. For pluchach the roadside did not feel any emergency response vehicle. Tyre really good. I rode in a short time 2000 km, it is really quiet and keeps very well for both wet and dry conditions, very good in the snow, the ice had a chance to ride. In this price range you can not buy any better, I would go to different tyres, but this seems to me a really very solid and good. Tyres are not that bad. good abrasion resistance - after 12,000 look like new. Lamella cuts which according to some are shallow really go the whole length of the shoe tread (just measure such as wire) on a dry road at high speed to the side a little WOZA because they are quite soft. The snow decent (good hold laterally). Generally recommended. As someone pulls the car to the tyre and the inn. In moderate driving is really interesting. Read more Collapse

A lot better than my old and worn sparciałe Continentale, but I was expecting a little more. The wet surprise positively. Ride, starting and braking on ice - feebly.
