Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric

I bought these tyres as replacement for F1 GS-D3, but I have to say that it better on dry only. In the wet it is just slightly worse (which is strange considering that Goodyear claims that they have improved its handling in wet). The looks isn't that great anymore either - V shape was way better. Its strongest point is definitely better contact patch. New tyres stick to the tarmac even if you really floor your car. I wanted to buy Advan Sport from Yokohama, but I think it's fair to say that Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric was still a good choice. Read more Collapse

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric in the size of 225/45R17 on a VW Passat Estate (B5). Summer tyre for demanding drivers. Very good grip regardless of the conditions (wet or dry). Soft compound means that the tyre is literally glued to the road. On the other hand, they will last 30 - 35k miles (two years maybe). I am really amazed by the opinions saying that it is wearing too fast. Its superior level of grip is directly related to the type of rubber compound used. Very good job of tyres on dry. No squealing, it's hard to break traction. Very precise cornering ride. Wet a very positive experience. It is hard to aquaplaning. However, attrition is quite high. after 30 tkm was about 3 mm tread on the front axle. Do you want to buy. Probably not. OptiGrip new model came out, and it will be my future type. Welcome. I used 225/45/17. Super grip on dry and wet roads. Unfortunately, the front tyres have worn out after 30 thousands. I'm going to the rear Continental has 60,000 and are in better shape. I have to say here that it is not a coincidence, since I take care of it and calibrates every few months. Super tyres :) I really recommend. The excellent holding on dry, wet very well. I drive very fast and very aggressive, and these tyres are suitable for this :) We know that this is not a slick :) but it's one of the better tyres. The only drawback is you have a weak grip on the slip, but I know that simulates the conditions almost like ice. If I had to buy it a second time, I'd rather tempted. Read more Collapse

I have a BMW 330d. This is my second set of these tires. I'm not going to change to another brand. Loud they are not, on the road at a moderate volume 160, attrition is very good level. Very good tire in this price range. I am very demanding on comfort because it could be a little more quiet but it is definitely better than Michelin, Pirelli and Bridgestone brand as expected. I bought it in May, and in December has been only 2 mm tread and tyre replacement (not suitable for the next season). Mie recommend.
