Opinion from outside the UK
Excellent tyre in the MT/universal role. Compared to BFGoodrich MT KM2, COOPER Discoverer STT are quieter on tarmac, better off-road, better grip in wet and slippery/frozen. They are better than summer tyres due to the rubber compound in winter, but inferior to winter tyres due to the tread. I would venture to say that the M+S (mud+snow) designation on the tyres is well deserved. When it comes to ice on the road, there are no strong tyres for this - only studs. They do not need chains in wet or powdery snow. They work well in mud and clean up quickly. The side tread also helps on stones and hard ground. Unfortunately not so good on traverses, but the centre of gravity of the car also plays a role here. To sum up, having tested several MT and AT tyres in similar conditions, so far I have not found any better tyres. Read more Collapse

Very good off road. I agree with most of the positive opinions about this tyre that I have read here, apart from one: Quiet on asphalt? This was probably written by someone who had these tyres in his boot, maybe they are quiet there. I have them on my rims, and I drive on them both off-road (awesome) and on the road; here they are no longer great, but they are okay, except for the noise, which is quite considerable even with the windows closed. They simply rumble mercilessly, unless someone drives max 40km/h, then the noise is acceptable. Read more Collapse

Great MTs for riding on any surface, they perform just as well off road as they do on paved roads. I ride at 1.2Pa and it's quite comfortable, with almost zero tyre deflection. The tyres are relatively light, so despite the much larger size than the original, the car doesn't feel slower (low power). The tread is designed in such a way that it does not bite as aggressively as, for example, the Simex, but thanks to this it is really quiet on a normal road. Handling is reliable and predictable. MT tyre, but unlike other MT tyres it is quiet on asphalt, but with large lateral lean it tolerates more off-road trails, it is a pity that the Koreans did not make the profile 90 and add 3-5mm to the tread, it would be a sensation. Orginally it has 15mm of meat, in the samurai it works very well.5 year manufacturer's warranty, rubber mixture is quite soft, I am curious how it will work in deep snow.I recommend for foresters, farmers who move a lot of off-road, but also on the road. The decision to buy the Kumho MT KL71 was the right one. It is not only convincing off-road, such as in the forest away from the paved roads and on wet meadows, but also on the road when driving cross-country and in cities. It is also very easy to drive on the motorway at moderate speeds. The noise level is extraordinarily low / pleasant for an MT tyre. Comparable to a coarse winter tyre. Read more Collapse

Kumho kl71 performs perfectly in mud, cleans up sensationally, also performs great on asphalt and is incredibly quiet (which I didn't expect). Practically no abrasion - 36,000 km mileage. Compared to BF, definitely a better tyre. The tyre looks great. I sincerely recommend it. Read more Collapse

Off road tyres, bought for a 4x4. Very short distance: 3600km in 1 year In less than a year the 4 tyres are all cracked on the sidewalls. Off-road use: family rides, no extreme crossings Either I got a bad series or the model is bad Read more Collapse

Best off road tyre I've owned, yet they are soft but I spend most my time on Tarmac so they are quite on the road, but for off road use they still offer great performance. Read more Collapse

A top tyre for off-road and bad roads, also good on wet roads, but with increasing age the noise becomes stronger. The only solution is to change the wheels diagonally. Read more Collapse

In relation to the price, the performance is more than good, considering that they cost a third of what more expensive tyres made in the USA cost. Read more Collapse

A tyre that is suitable for moderate asphalt travel, but gives its best on dirt roads and terrain with a shoulder that creates grip. Read more Collapse
