Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 is a tyre for passenger cars with a balanced performance on every surface encountered during the winter season. The mid-range model has 3 characteristics, it provides:

  • good grip and short braking distance on snow,

  • high level of resistance to aquaplaning,

  • proper traction on a snow covered surface, even for dynamic driving style,

Precision and safety of driving on snow.

How did the manufacturer take care of such performance? First of all, Nexen put numerous 3D sipes on the surface of the tyre. Thanks to this, many edges are created on the tread, which in the course of their functioning, ensure traction on dry, snowy or icy surfaces . Each individual tread block is responsible for traction, and therefore also shorter braking distance. You do not have to worry about winter conditions anymore. With the Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2, you will not lose any more grip on snow covered surfaces.

Above-average resistance to aquaplaning.

Protection against uncontrolled slipping is a property guaranteed by the modern directional tread, which consists of a network of V-shaped grooves. Thanks to their sharp shapes, the slots do their job perfectly, quickly and extremely efficiently draining water and slush off the surface of the tyre.

For each driving style

The very good traction on snow and water is the result of the tyre having 70 tread blocks on its surface. Every single block at the time of contact with the surface does exactly what it was created for, drains water, grabs (dry, wet surface, ice) and bites (snow, slush) into the surface, thus maintaining traction, giving the car stability, ensuring your safety.

Another advantage of the tyre is the reinforced carcass . Thanks to this, the model is resistant to distortions even with a dynamic driving style.

    Opinion from outside the UK

Nexen is not a well-known manufacturer of tyres. Their products are rather little known and because of this they are cheaper. On the other hand, if they are cheaper, is the quality still acceptable? Yes, it is. I read a lot of comments about the Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 and they have great reviews. In the past I decided to purchase a set of Nexen summer tyres in the size 215/55R16 and they were brilliant. The positive experience helped me to choose Nexen's Winguard Snow'G WH2 model in the size 205/60R16. I cannot describe how happy I am. While I was looking for some good winter tyres I browsed the Internet and I could not decide for some time. Ultimately, I decided to buy middle-class tyres in order to save some money (although the size I purchased is unusual and because of that it is a bit more expensive). The European Union labels decidedly helped me to make a purchase. I was looking for a tyre with B or C fuel consumption rating and finally I found it. The tyres are superb. The rubber compound helps to enhance cold weather traction. The tread pattern combines hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads with unique grip and good braking distance in winter conditions. The Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 are predictable and communicative while driving in snow. What is more, they are very quiet. It may be associated with the fact that my car has a very good sound-proofing. I have never had any problems with these tyres. They are doing surprisingly well on ice. My car is so stable that ESP and ABS did not have to activate in difficult weather conditions. As I mentioned earlier, in the past I was a bit apprehensive about buying Nexen tyres as they were so cheap. However, they are fantastic tyres offering: increased dry and wet grip in all-weather conditions (although they are typical winter tyres) - I tested them both in deep snow and on a dry road. The biggest advantage of the Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 tyres is their price. Taking into consideration the quality they deliver, they are definitely worth buying. I would like to recommend these tyres to everybody, who are looking for good tyres in a reasonable price. Certainly I will buy Nexen tyres again in the nearest future. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I had to make a decision which tyre model should I choose. I considered about three or four different tyres but finally I decided to buy Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2. One of the main reasons for this purchase was the price. I would pay much more for any tyre model from the premium class and I am not sure if the difference in quality would be as significant. They have soft compound which is an advantage for me. It increase the driving comfort and make this tyre quite silent. It performs quite good on every surface. Some harder weather conditions are not any problem too. Water and slush are drained easily. It may be not the easiest thing to start rapidly but it is just a matter of practice. I would say that it could give some more sense of safety when driver is not used to this particular model fitted but it is the only disadvantage. Apart of this I can not say anything wrong about it. Recommended with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

I am extremely happy with the quality of the Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 tyres. They perform excellent in deep snow and slush. Generally speaking, they are great for winter and rainy weather conditions. The tyres are one of the best in this price range. I had a lot of different cars in my life and different tyres were mounted on them (from budget to premium brand tyres) so I can compare them. I have to admit that these Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 winter tyres are really fantastic. It is noticeable that were designed in compliance with the newest technology. I recommend to everybody. I had Nokians WR D3 mounted on my car previously. I chose them mostly because of the fact that I live in a mountainous area. After reading some reviews on the Internet about the Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 tyres I decided to purchase them. The tyres have a directional tread pattern. They are exactly what I wanted. Furthermore, they were a way less expensive than Nokians. I recommend these tyres. They are worth their price. I think there are no better tyres in the same or similar price. They are perfectly dealing with snow and slush Read more Collapse

Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2 provides good tracktion even in some hard winter weather conditions. The main advantage is a wet grip which works really well on the snowy road too. It is quite hard to losse the control of the vehicle when driving reasonably. On the dry road is is just great. They are not too loud as well. Fuel efficiency is on a god level also. Recommended.
