Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow

I have these tyres for three seasons now. I bought them out of choice, because they were recommended by the manufacturer. After the purchase, I went to the garage to fit them and found out that two out of four purchased tyres were oval and impossible to balance. My dispute with the company I bought the tyres at lasted three months. Eventually, Pirelli took pity on me and sent me new tyres. After the first season, one of the tyres misshaped and also became oval. The cost of one Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow is ca. 250 pounds. Before the purchase I thought about what to buy for some time. I somehow decided to get Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow because they were the cheapest premium class tyres and they turned out to be a bullseye. The tyres are quiet on dry and wet pavement, but they're the best for snow and slush. Car handling is very confident and the tyre grips the road like a tank. It's also a big credit of 4WD. Of course it's commonly known that the tyre won't replace common sense on the road, bur for me and my driving style these tyres are sensational. I am very satisfied and recommend them. I've now had 5 winter seasons (over 2 cars) on these tyres and the performance has been excellent. General winter driving has been safe and confident, good water dispersion and the car always feels planted to the road. In 'proper' snow conditions, these provide good grip and plenty of re-assurance. With the AWD system they will eventually break traction in the snow - but only under very hard acceleration. After this year's winter I know I made the right choice buying Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow. It's a perfect tyre for all conditions. Sensational on the snow.
