Toyo Proxes T1 Sport

Purchased these tyres off a recommendation from a family member with a BMW M3. Previously I had the Michelin pilot super sports, which I must say are very grippy, especially in the dry when they're hot. Having come from good tyres I had high standards and the Toyos didn't let me down, from cold the Toyos aren't fantastic but once you've got abit of heat in the tyre they are glued to the road. I do a lot of driving in the country lanes and windy A roads, aswell as 6 laps round the Nürburgring with the Toyos and they have stepped up to the mark, for the price they are very good. I'd like them to make the R888's in my tyre size but unfortunately they don't. In the wet they are just as good as the michelins, I run 350bhp through the front wheels so i do spin in 1st and 2nd sometimes 3rd but no tyre is going to reduce that vastly, apart from that it still handles well in the wet, but I'm yet to test the Toyos on the track in the wet. First time I have used these tyres and overall quite impressed. They have never let me down in wet or dry conditions. I haven't tested them in winter as I switch to winter tyres but a good summer tyre for a family car. Shame they don't make the previous T1R any more as I think that was a little bit better tyre. The only downside on the T1S is the sidewalls are a little soft so not the best tyres for a heavy or for a very aggressive driving style. Read more Collapse

Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are very good tyres for those who like offensive driving style. In the size 215/55R16 the noise is unavoidable. Their grip is very good. I cannot say too much about the attriction as I made only 10k on them. For now I can trully say that Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are very good. It is very hard for me to judge their damping as I have a bit stiffer suspension so I can feel road inequalities a bit more. Read more Collapse

I've used Toyo on my last 3 cars and always found them grippy reasonably priced and a great looking tread pattern, when I got my slk it had the merc recommended continental tyres which I've always hated because if they are not hot there's virtually no grip at all especially in the damp and wet. Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are just amazing. I have them out in my VW Bora 1.9TDi. Very good cornering regardless the weather condition. My car behaves like glued to the tarmac. Braking distance much shorter on Toyo Proxes T1 Sport in comparison to my previous tyres. When speeding above 100 mph the noise level is not too high. I am very pleased with those Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. Obviosuly they wear off a bit quicker than other tyres, but I am sure that the safety is on the highest possible level. The tyre just literaly informs you about the lack of grip, they dont jerk. At higher speeds Toyo Proxes T1 Sport imitate a characteristic noise of an jest whistle. I have chosen Toyo Proxes T1 Sport as they were a bit cheaper than yokohamas. They are very silent. Very soft I mean they dampen road inequalities pretty good. Even on wet road surface you can feel yourself pretty confident on Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. Read more Collapse

Great bit of rubber for the price paid. Feel these have a better overall grip than the Continental ContiSportContact 3 which I previously had. Car is only a weekend driver so limited miles done however impressed so far with the performance. Read more Collapse

Toyo Proxes T1 Sport perform very precisely while cornering and moving off. I think that it might be my car, but tyres also have their onfluence on the driving comfort. All in all Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are very good tyres. Read more Collapse

After purchasing it turned out that one of the tires can not be weighed. Different wheels, different orientations - no effect. After an exchange for another it was better (but not perfect). I am very satisfied with these tires. Maybe they do not have exceptional durability but are very reliable player on both wet and allow safe driving at all times. They are perhaps a little bit noisy. After changing tires on new (previously I had the same, but authentic old and very worn) feel like rubber firmly in the asphalt and will not let go. Very predictably beat winding roads even in fast overcoming arcs. Braking is very certain. After beating about 8k not see signs of wear. Read more Collapse
