Vredestein Comtrac 2 Winter+ is a premium winter tyre from the manufacturer, dedicated to light commercial vehicles. The tyres provide a high level of stability and control of the vehicle, regardless of road conditions.
The advantage of this model is its high grip on dry and wet roads. Compared to its predecessor, the Comtrac 2 Winter, the new version optimises the tread compound. This action allowed to increase its durability and strength. The manufacturer has also modified the structure by using higher density cords in the abrasion zone. As a result, stability has been improved while driving, both on straight and winding sections of the road. As Vredestein asserts, this effect is maintained even at full load. The winter tyre also offers a service life of more than 20% longer, thanks to a tread made from an optimised compound that contains a special reinforcing filler.
In the Comtrac 2 Winter+, the handling and braking performance on snow has been improved by 5%. This was made possible by using an asymmetrical tread. Wide blocks and densely spaced lamellas make driving on slippery and snow-covered surfaces much easier. The grooves in the centre of the tyre, on the other hand, drain excess water from the tread surface.
