Original tyre in the new a3 sportback dsg diesel 170 hp. What can I say – hard tyre, but it’s probably normal with the 40 profile. Lately I had winter tyres with 45 profile and these were harder (strange) - predictable tyre. I’ve never had any problems with traction and a small audi doesn’t belong to slow cars – no problems on wet surface unless the tyre has a tread – surprising thing is a durability, one piece I pierced 4 times and I had no money so I kept repairing it - after 18 600 miles, while changing for the winter ones, it turned out that the tyre is bald so it wears down which I think is the standard because 350 torque of 2 tdi definitely gives them a hard time. - At the moment I’m buying 2 pieces for the front axle - RE050A at a price of 100GBP. I rather won’t buy nothing better.

I decided to add my two cents, because the opinions of some Internet users should not be taken into account. 1. It is difficult to assess the values of a tyre in moderate driving – the chinese rubber is enough for that. Bridgestone RE050A work very well, but they are better. 2. Grip on wet roads also depends on the width of a wheel - the larger, the more carefully you should ride - wider sizes (over 225) require skill and caution. 3. Sport tyres are not hard, as some ‘smart guy’ wrote. Achieving a better grip is a price for faster usage. These bore one season driving fast, powerful car, so they are good. It’s a good compromise between hardness and abrasion. Overall, they are very good tyres, although currently I’m looking for something better. But we have different requirements and for calm drivers I do not recommend more expensive tyres - you will feel no difference.

The tyre holds well on the dry. At 200 hp no problems with the transfer of power to the road. Perfect breaking. I was surprised by the wet traction. If the asphalt is good, they stick to it exceptionally. I drove the F1 GSD-2 (excellent tyre), Dunlop sport maxx and 9000, Nokian (great on the water), but for now RE050A I like the most (GSD-2 Goodyear is no longer in production but they were excellent). I would recommend. I drove a little so I have no idea about the wearing.

Hi, I am a user of Renault Laguna GT with rear axle steering. What this car can in curves, corners and on the straights, is really incredible ride. But I have a feeling (and drove many cars on different tyres) that it wasn’t Bridgestone Potenza, in this case 225/45 r18 RE050 it wouldn’t be possible to achieve this. They are excellent and with full responsibility I do recommend. Actually, they have one disadvantage, they consume fairly quickly, but as heavily worn tyre it still retains its properties.

I need to verify my previous negative rating for the tyres, this time for plus. After driving a few thousand miles I can say that this tyre is really good. For dry it is sensational, keeps incredibly as a sport hard tyre. Precision of steering is great. After the change from winter tyres - 225/45/17 Dunlop Sport 3D , now I see the difference in sticking to the road and driving. And what’s interesting, now even high hardness of the tyre does not bother me. Fuel consumption also normal. I recommend!

Runflat tyres. Unfortunately, this is not a tyre for our ‘’wonderful’’ roads. It’s hard itself and also additionally hardened by runflat. And there is the effect - bubbles on the sides show up by sliding up a simple well or a small hole. Already two tyres with bubbles on the sides. BMW probably only thought about the German roads by fitting them as a standard. Generally, the lack of comfort is an understatement. If I had a choice I would not buy it. On the wet it’s only average, I’ve had better - at least Continental Premium 2.

Really good tyre, they work perfectly in Polish contitions due to the reinforced construction that they have. Great grip on dry, also good on wet, basically besides the noise I cannot see any other drawbacks. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A wears quickly I would say but it is just my opinion. It wears relatively fast depending on your driving style but I think that is normal for HP tyres. Gladly nrecommended- woth its price.

Tyre really recommendable - perhaps a bit loud but compensating all their behavior on the road. For dry absolute revelation. Wet exemplary. Toy car burns a little more than other tyres but really makes up for the loss of steering precision and reactivity. What to wear is quite some recommend, especially for cars 200HP +. Regards
