I am rather surprised by the extreme and often unflattering reviews. Knowingly buying, the mere appearance of the tread does not encourage off-road driving. Continental ContiWinterContact TS790 have tread more road-legal and the conditions are great. I have a slope to reach the garage and I never had trouble with pull away. After the packed snow in the woods by the road (to work) often rode 70mphs. I haven't used ABS as I had no problem with the braking - of course, the way to grow. Those are the best winter tyres. I had (Dunlop, pirelli, michelin). Outstanding comfort! For urban winter conditions, or slush, packed snow, slush, ice, really nice. Most of the winter is dry. Perhaps there are better, but they are noisier and less comfortable. The only drawback to ContiWinterContact TS790 is a rather high attrition.

According to me, Continental ContiWinterContact TS790 is a very good tyre for dry or wet roads. Quiet, small rolling resistance and short braking distances on these surfaces are at a really high level. Perfect for this winter. Cons: only one but very important - in combination with the suspension not the best of my Avensis (this type it is) you can forget about traction in snow, slush - the weak force within. Old UG 5 were a lot better in this aspect. One opinion - good for the city on the road cleared of snow, poor beyond that. I changed the UG7 - better in the snow, better sticking to the road but turn a little too soft for temp 0 and a larger resistance (noise + burning).

Well, I'm not a whiz in the field of tyres. I chose based on the assessment of the price of the product and I am happy. As compared to the previous tyres - I michelin'y - hold a great ground especially when cornering, better exercise during the braking in the wet, and I did not squeal on rapid startup. As for the noise level, in addition to inequalities / holes, paving / do not feel any increased intensity. I do not know how the snow and ice, did not testowałem71 :) and I do not think I will.

55000 miles and 2 sets of Continental ContiWinterContact TS790 consumed. A lot rides on the routes and motorways. Weaker in dry conditions. Very soft. Well hold, but with a positive temperature makes them unstable in corners and quickly consume. I have not noticed increased fuel consumption on the highway, so rolling resistance is OK. As for a little more money Continental ContiWinterContact TS790 is certainly worthy of recommendation. Previously, I was using Debice Frigo. They also did not disappoint me, although there were a lot louder. I started saving now with Krisalp Kleber HP.

This is a really good zimowka, proved to be the city and the mountains and the (ski). Already ridden a few different zimowkach good and they did not fare worse - but also did not fare particularly better. The primary drawback is the price! I highly recommend Sava Eskimo S3, or Uniroyal 55 - prices much lower and the tyres just as good! If you occasionally but I find it again TS790 pile them again. The price is not worth it to overpay storefront.

My opinion is a very good tyre, quiet and stable, compared with poprzednimy winter tyres Pirelli, this is much better, very good holding in bends and much shorter stopping distance (which is in my opinion very important for winter!). tyres well stick to the surface and as important are stable on the road at high speed! I would recommend.

Poor grip when cornering, to good behavior in compacted snow tyres, it is necessary to lower the tyre pressure to 1.5 bar, the pressure recommended by the manufacturer of my car 2.1 bar, the tyre remains uncertain when cornering. Overall, good tyres, good compromise between snow and dry asphalt.
