I am an agressive type of the driver in the city, on the highway (up to 124 mph) and on winding snowy roads in the Scottish Mountains. In every single condition Michelin ALPIN 5 had an outstanding traction. During the summer season I drove on the budget tyes and the differance was enormous. Today, despite the difficult conditions on the road, I am not able to put the car in the controlled slip. Michelin ALPIN 5 is a poor tyre ... to drift :P. I feel very safe and comfortable driving on those tyres. I was not afraid to enter into a snowbank in the mountains and I was annoyed of SUVs which were driving 19 mph with a snow chains, when I had a great grip on snow in my coupe, with a regular winter tyres with the temperature below -14*C

The tread has decreased a bit quickly, but maybe it's driving style, and in the winter it's been a bit warmer in Poland lately. Apart from that, the tops are great on snow and slush, it is difficult to control the slip.
