Greetings, I was interested in a good winter tyre, so I did my research and read a lot, and took the advice of internet forum users and bought the Nexen Winterguard tyres for my winter driving. I was pleasantly surprised, and my research paid off. They hold very well on both wet and dry roads, and I have braked hard a few times on snowy surfaces and the car stopped pretty quickly. They are a very quiet tyre, which is good as I drive quite a lot and find excess noise irritating. I have driven over 20000 miles on them, and they have barely worn at all. They grip well when cornering, and even at high speeds, you always feel in control and safe on these tyres. The rubber is thick and strong, and the tread pattern extra chunky, so your car never gets stuck in the snow. For the price, they are a great tyre, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a great winter tyre.

Very good winter tires at a reasonable price, they work well in the snow and on muddy roads during thaw, a little worse on glaciated packed snow, but only tires with spikes cope with such a surface.

Great tyre for normal use, before them I used twice as expensive and did not notice the difference. What is more I do not drive gently.

I normally drive in the country and have used these tyres in all conditions , and can't fault them .From dry , mud , ice, hail and snow they are great . I have done about 20,000 kms with no problems at all there is still reasonable tread on the front . Would recommend to any one why would you buy anything else .

I purchased the Nexen Winterguard tyres, after reading lots of positive reviews on the internet about them. I want to emphasize that I am the most demanding drive,r and place the utmost importance to safety because that, besides being a pilot, I'm still a father and husband. After the first test, I was immediately pleasantly surprised how I could drive at 60mph and brake and stop extremely quickly. They are an extremely quiet tyre and when it comes to grip and wear, they exceeded my expectations, markedly. In summary, I would 100% recommend this tyre and the Nexen, tyre company. They provide extremely good value for money, are any discerning motorist should buy them for winter driving

I bought the Nexen Winterguard tyres as I wanted a high spec tyre, but didn’t want to pay top whack for it. I found this tyre as a good alternative to more expensive brands. As it’s a winter tyre, I was looking for great grip and safety, as I am a rather cautious driver. After driving nearly 8,000 miles, I see no wear at all. The tyres are like new. They perform strongly on slush and snow, and the grip is good, and I always feel in control, when I drive. On dry asphalt roads, they drive very comfortably, due to the profile and size. They provide a great deal of control and the braking performance is superb, much better than my old Michelin tyres. The drainage is also good, so there are no problems of driving on wet roads at all. The tyre performs well over a wide range of temperature too. I was worried that on sub-zero roads, it might slip a little, but I was surprisingly reassured. I have previously been disappointed by “premium-range” tyres, so all-in-all, I rate the Nexen Winterguard tyres very highly. In fact, I will look to purchase some more Nexen tyres, for summer driving, as previously I had Bridgestone Potenza tyres, but am looking to replace these shortly.

Hello everyone, I had a similar dilemma when I was choosing tyres: What Price or Quality (the brand) should I buy? I didn’t have long to make this decision as the winter was nearly upon me, so I had to act fast. I eventually decided on the Nexen Winterguard tyres. I do not regret this choice at all. They are a solid tyre, which drive particularly well on slushy roads. The balance is great, and I feel they compare very favourably to more expensive brands too. They provide an excellent grip, even at high speeds (60mph+) on slushy roads. They are surprisingly quiet, and give great traction, especially when cornering. I have driven on a variety of roads (Mountain, Urban, Off-road) and they perform very well, and there has been no problems at all. The drainage of the tyre is good, and I would recommend the Nexen Winterguard tyres to any driver looking for a high-spec, low cost winter tyre.
