Continental WinterContact TS 850 P

It’s the first time I purchased Continental tyres because their products are usually very expensive. I used to drive on Nokian tyres. They were worse in wet weather. I also had Michelin Alpin tyres, quality of which was rather average. The last tyre I tested was the Pirelli Sotto Zero which was very good. I’m driving a Toyota Avalon Limited, 3.5l. engine, 278 BHP and decided to buy a set of the Continental TS850 tyres. I must say, I’m impressed. The tyres are superb in wet conditions. Their performance in snow is simply sensational. They provide excellent grip even if you have a powerful car. The tread pattern is interesting. I’m shocked how comfortable these tyres are. i can’t trcommend these tyres highly enough for winter use. The snow from early 2018 was a true test for the Continentals, and they performed perfectly. The car could be driven in thick falling snow with very little detriment to grip and handling. Other cars were grinding to a halt or couldn’t even grip the snow, whereas I could continue my journey as nornal. If you value the lives of your family then you should get some winter tyres - below 7 degrees these tyres out perform summer tyres in nearly every way. In the snow they’re virtually unstoppable. The difference between summer and winter tyres on snow is like the difference between day and night, it really is that clear. I bought these to drive down and up from a French ski station - usually on a mix of tarmac and hard snow/ice and sometimes on fresh and falling snow. We have stayed the last two seasons in the resort. I have never felt the need for socks or chains. I can't say I notice the difference in noise or economy from my summer tyres but I change them over on return to the UK and put them on just before we go out early Jan. I would recommend Continental. Good quality, good grip I have no objection. These are very good tyres, I was surprised positively several times. Tyres behave very well I fully recommend these tyres and I will buy once again. Very good grip, tyres are safe and handles well. Surprisingly short, and equal braking in all conditions. It was a present from my girlfriend, but I would 100% buy these tyres again, they look like new after 4 months, which is important. I'm going for them again and I would highly recommend. First of all Continental are the best tyres ever! Very good tyres, Great value. I was pleasantly surprised how I could drive at 70mph and brake and stop quite quickly. The best tyre ever. I recommended these tyres. Is not very expensive and it is the best quality in this price. They handles very well in both wet and dry. Great value for me. So I would recommended them to anyone. Suits my driving style. The drainage is also good, so there are no problems of driving on wet roads at all. Good afternoon, for me great value and brilliant tyres. It’s not my first set of Continental tyres, but first set of Winter tyres. Before I bought summer tyres only, and now I decided to go for a winter tyres. Also I feel confident and comfortable especially on wet or muddy roads These are perfect! Hello, This was my first set of winter tyres ever. Thought that these tyres will be worst. But I have to say that they handless well. They performed splendidly, I didn’t have any problems with these tyres at all. Also what I like about these tyres is that they are very quiet even at high speeds, which is very important for me. 2015-16 has been a very mild winter so I had to wait until early March for the first snow in which to test the Continental winter tyres. They made a huge difference to the grip and handling of my MX5 in the snow. We only had a couple of inches of snow but it was enough to show the difference they make to a light, rear wheel drive car. I decided to buy these tyres and Im very happy. Before I bought thise tyres a little I read about them in internet and they were very positive reviews. I strongly recommend Continental tyres, no problems with braking in the winter, in the corners are holding confidently. When i bought this tyre I was hoping for a more comfortable ride through the snow, especially during thaw. With the help of ESP and ABS sytems they are dealing with the most demaning weather conditions.. The tyres doing well in dry and wet condition. Aquaplaning absolutely sporadic. I always bought expensive premium class tyre to my car.. Usually it was Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli, Yokohama or Pirelli Sotto Zero tyres. All of those tyres were very good, I cant complain but Continental are great because now I drive a Toyota Avalon Limited 3.5 petrol 286KM and the tyes behave well even at very high speeds!. Not much more to say than if you want a good all-round winter tyre they're pretty good. some noticeable hum from them, and in the dry they can oversteer a bit when pushed around tight bends, but on wet - brilliant and in the snow, well you can just drive anywhere.
