I have driven various types of winter tyres, including a few types of tungsten carbide spiked tyres in Sweden where it is law to have them. The difference between winter and summer tyres in a bad winter is like night and day, no matter which tyres you use, so how some reviewers can mark these tyres as poor is totally beyond me. Its law in Germany as well to have them and so it is big business to do extensive reviews. I am on my second lot Hancook tyres now for winter, my last lot of tyres did approx 45k (miles) I had done over 15k (Miles) which is over 24000km and when swopped them last month for my regular tyres there was no worn shown on them at all, so should last me another two winters. Most of my driving is on the motorway, so for that kind of driving these are ideal. It is my first ever winter tires and the experience was excellent! The car felt smooth on the road. It just gives a different feel of sensation driving my car. Quiet, smooth and the grip on a rainy and snowy day was excellent! The tire was put to the test on a 2 hrs deive under the heavy rain at the M40!! and the road holding and quietness was just unbelievable with the speed I was at. I have used these tyres for 21,000 miles in winter and summer, the ride is excellent the grip and handling in the rain marvellous and the performance in snow outstanding. Ice handling is very good, but has limitations. With nearly one year over I can say recommended four to five stars. Read more Collapse
