The Hankook Ventus Prime 2 K115 is a mid-range summer tyre. It offers an optimal balance between a reasonable price and a good quality product, whilst offering decent performance and specifications. The model is made by the Korean firm Hankook, a company with a long history and a presence on many markets (the brand's tyres are sold to over 170 countries). The manufacturer supplies tyres for passenger cars as well as racing cars, lorries, vans and 4x4 vehicles.

Hankook Ventus Prime 2 - bieznik

The Hankook Ventus Prime 2 K115 is equipped with an innovative, asymmetric tread, giving drivers control over the vehicle on different road conditions. The model helps maintain control on both wet and dry surfaces. The Hankook Ventus Prime 2 is therefore recognised as a product that ensures a safe driving experience, which is especially important during the summer holidays when many people undertake long journeys. The tyre performs very well both on straight stretches of road and when going round corners or changing lane, guaranteeing a stable and smooth driving experience. The design of the Hankook Ventus Prime 2 K115, incorporating GripTech technology, gives the driver good grip and steerability, even at high speed, whilst also ensuring effective braking performance.

As well as the typical driving specifications, this model also increases acoustic comfort whilst driving, making the journey less tiring for all involved. The asymmetric tread pattern gives the driver better control over the vehicle, whilst also limiting noise and vibrations. The Hankook Ventus Prime 2 K115 is also noted for its extended lifetime and reduced fuel consumption thanks to its lower rolling resistance. This characteristic means that a model purchased at a reasonable price maintains its performance specifications for longer and also reduces fuel consumption, making it a good option for those looking for a practical investment.

It took me a while to decide what to choose. I was wondering. Should I strech my budget a bit and buy some branded premium class tyres? I said no and i bought Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 and I am satisfied that I didn't overpay. They are a lot cheaper than Pirelli or Michelins, but the quality they offer in my opinion excelent. They handle well in the dry, my car sticks to the road like it was glued :) They are also very good on wet. I havn't noticed aquaplaning. You only need to be careful when pulling off dynamically because sometimes they like to lose traction on wet and this is the only con I can find. Tread is quite soft but not excessively consumed after one season with virtually no signs of wear. The comfort on 17 inch rims is not bad, I would say it is decent. The tread pattern may not be a super-hyper modern but this is probably not the case. It has a firm grip on the road and it is what it should do. I noticed a slight decrease in fuel consumption. Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 are definatelly worth the money. Hankook is a brand that started in motorsports so I believe that they know what they are doing. From now I will by Hankook without hesitation. Read more Collapse

Hankoo Ventus Prime2 K115 is listed as a middle class but behaves as any other premium manufacturer tyres. Tires definitely worth the money. In fact, in every aspect they meet my expectations. Thing that they might not look prestige enough in the car like BMW doesn't matter to me. Snobbish points of view are far from my attitude. The tyre doesn't need to be pretty, as far as it is safe and handles comfortly! Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 are exactly that kind of tyres. I have done over 10000 miles from the purchase on local roads and abroad. They are quiet, and behave satisfactorily on wet roads. They are not as soft as I thought they will be. But is it a flaw? This is an individual judgement, and as we well know, it all depends on the driver preferences. Convinced by it's price and parameters I would buy them again. I hope that the next set will allow me to give a similar opinion. And one more thing at the end. I don't have any relation with the manufacturer! I'm just a satisfied customer.I can recommend them with pleasure. Read more Collapse

I wanted to buy Michelin but I was persuaded by the Oponeo consultant to purchase cheaper Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 and it was a very good choice. I was supprised that they didn't force me to buy the most expensive tyres as others do. It is a great and a quiet tyre. Behaviour similar to Michelin on dry and far better on the wet! How is it possible? I was comparing them with Energy Savers from Michelin, because I had them mounted on a second car from the beginning. If anyone is wondering, he shouldn't! . The choice is really simple. You get excellent performance for a really good price. The behavior on wet asphalt is superb. On a roundabout that I usually go and skid when entering bit to fast now my car runs like on rails :) What I can tell more,...Virtually silent. The appearance of the tyre is sensational. A sense of security is real, the car goes and stops where you want. I am very satisfied with those tyres and and excellent service I received. Read more Collapse

Hi, I drive my car every day doing around 30 miles, partially in the city and out of town. I would say my driving style is moderate, but the dynamics is changing. But lets get to the point. In my opinion on Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 is based on not so big milage because I bought those tyres quite recently but I decided to share my impressions. On dry roads, the tyre like any other is doing very well. When cornering tyr tyre holds the road well. Speaking of wet handling. I was surprised by their grip. As for braking on wet roads. I did an emergency braking test at around 35 mph and the tyres were unimpressed by this situation. Even the ABS didn't switch on. I don't wan't to write about fuel consumption because I havn't noticed any change yet. Damping the road imperfections is ok. Considering the question of grip and safety of Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 I can easily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good tyre for a decent price. Read more Collapse

I bought the tyres mainly for touring as I do short journeys around town. In the dry the tyres are perfect, in the wet they can sometimes catch me by surprise during emergency braking and slip like on ice, but once the ABS kicked in there was already a firm grip on the seat belts and because of my nervous driving style they saved my front end.... It's a pity that once there was a Mercedes behind me on chinese tyres.... In bends and on wet pavement they go like rails. On the road they are really great, no louder than the noise made by the car structure and hold up well at high speeds in bends. I can confidently recommend the product - especially as I needed a tyre with a reinforced shoulder and protective rim. I have already completed a family holiday with a trip to the seaside and it was great. The fuel consumption has dropped a little compared to the previous tyres. These tyres are not the quietest, but I've had Yokohama, Dunlop and they weren't very quiet either. Among tyres with asymmetrical tread, these have the most sensible tread. Of all the tyres I have fitted to my cars, these have the lowest tread wear rate. They grip the road very well. We have had very little rain this year but I have had the opportunity to drive a few times in the rain and they grip the road very well. Up until now, I've replaced tyres every two or three years (tread wear), but these I think will easily last five years. I was sceptical when I bought the tyres, but I chose them because of the reviews, the price and because I was persuaded to buy them by an oponeo salesman. At this point I would like to thank the seller because it was a really good choice. To sum up: I recommend these tyres! Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) Read more Collapse

After replacing the old Firestones on the front axel, the noise, rolling resistance, and start from a standstill significantly improved. Personally, I have a full confidence on Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 when it comes to grip. When we go in the rain or on a tight bends it handles superb. I know it is not a sport tyre, but it performes very well. I like going a bit faster that i should :) My car has 161Nm. Despite the aggressive driving style tyre behaves well. Tread pattern does not stand out but that is not important. What counts is that the tyre is durable and it will last for many miles. From pros the car stops where I want. From cons the tyre sometimes is squeling when pulling out rapidly. I don't know If I can demand highest performance for that price but overall I consired buying Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 as the best purchase I have made this year :) Read more Collapse

I don't have a comparison with other products, so 4 - might as well give a 6. These are my first tyres in this size on this car. I certainly felt a pleasant surprise in the wet. To me, the tyre drains water well - driving into puddles on one side at higher speeds (expressway in the rain ~100km/h) I felt no pulling or tugging on the steering wheel. I had the opportunity to drive on these tyres at a driving improvement centre - obstacle avoidance, jerks. The car behaved very stable and predictable, but I won't get wise here either as I don't have a comparison. Comfort/Economics/Other - qualities quite subjective or unmeasurable in road conditions, other than that I have no reference. I drive on various roads in and outside the country, and due to the fact Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 are the tyres I use I am even more satisfied with my driving. They may spin a bit during starting on wet (rarely on dry), but when it comes to grip in the corners or during braking, they don't make any problems. I do a lot of mileage in various conditions, and these tyres do a great job. In their class, Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 convince me to stick to them with their ergonomy. Their indexes are comparable with premium brands, but on the road I feel that Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 has a great advantage over them. I definitely recommend Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres - they have a great quality-price ratio! Read more Collapse

I have Uniroyal Rainsport 1 tyres from 2006 fitted to my car. I thought that I can expect more from a new Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyre, however it appeared that there's no match for Uniroyal on wet (too bad the Rainsport 2 is worse). After I fitted two Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres to my car, I noticed a problem os a swerving rear end of the car. however I have switched the front and rear tyres and now it's fine. The car with Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres fitted handles neutrally on dry, and on wet it has a slight tendency of its front end going off-course (I know about it so it's fine for me). I can also add that the tyres are fitted to a front-wheel drive Honda with 120 BHP. Read more Collapse

After driving 6500 miles I have a very positive opinion about Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres. They perfectly grip the road despite my dynamic driving style and 245 BHP under the car's bonnet. They are a bit hard, but for me, it's an advantage. I also use my car on unpaved roads, but here is where the 4WD does the job as well. In winter I have changed to Continental TS830 P and they are so soft that I feel a bit uneasy in the car. I know that they are for different purposes and have different parameters, but I already miss the spring to fit Hankoook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres back on. Generally, I find them worth recommending - you won't be disappointed. Read more Collapse

This is the first time I have had Hankooks and I can immediately recommend them to anyone who cares about their safety on the road. I have selected a moderate style, although I do occasionally drive aggressively, in which case the tyre adheres nicely to the asphalt. I have noticed wheel spin in the wet when pushing the accelerator harder, but this is normal for me (high torque - increased car power), previously I had uniroyal rainsport 3, goodyear f1, and these tyres also behaved like this on wet asphalt. The tyres look great on the wheel, they are super balanced and the price is ridiculously low for such a great performance. Read more Collapse

I have two other cars, one is an Opel Astra and I have Michelin Energy Saver tyres there and believe me the Hankook is by far the better tyre. Very quiet, excellent wet grip (Michelin definitely not so good), and I think this is the most important parameter, because most of the crashes we see happen in the rain. I have another car - an off-roader, there I also have Hankook and I am also satisfied. The tyre comes highly recommended and it is a good decision to buy these tyres. In fact, I bought the tyres thanks to an OPONEO employee, as it was he who steered me towards these tyres, for which I would like to thank him. Read more Collapse

The only drawback of Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres is that they are a bit loud, other than that they are very good, I am surprised how well they perform on wet, it's like I was driving on dry surface. Their another drawback is that they sometimes lose grip in the corners, which make you start to swerve off the road before they recover their traction so you have to watch out when taking a line in the corner. However, you have to remember that Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 are hard tyres, so it has to be taken into account. Overall, I am happy with their purchase and I recommend Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 to everyone. Read more Collapse

This is the first time I have purchased tyres from the Hankook brand. I had previously used the Dunlop, Fulda and Nokian brands. I am very positively surprised. They do not differ from the top brands and tyre models. Despite their rather large size (width 235) and low profile (45), they dampen bumps well. They are very quiet - even though the label says "2 bars" regarding noise. I also confirm the opinions of other users that the rim protection rim is very small - so you have to be careful when parking close to the curb. Other than that, I have not found any downsides. I recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 was a stock-installe tyre in my Ford Focus. ESP switches on very often, which only confirms the fact the tyre simply slides. However, there are nor problems with braking. Starting is terrible, and when it comes to starting on wet, I prefer not to say anything. Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 are as loud as old Debica or Barum tyres, which I have also used. It's worse than the Bridgestone Turanza ER300 and the Dunlop SP Sport Fastresponse, even worse from the old Pirelli P6000... I don't recommend Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres. I have slid on them a few times too many. Read more Collapse

I have been using Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres for a year now and I am very pleased with them. Handling on dry is sensational, on wet they're as good - I safely arrived to my destination via the motorway at ca. 90 MPH, so I think it can confirm their good water dispersion. They're very quiet even at high speeds. I have 225/45R18 tyres fitted so it's obvious that driving on such profile won't be comfortable, but I have to admit it handles bumps well. I've driven about 4,000 km on these tyres and I'm very satisfied, I bought two for the front and put the single-season Sava intensa on the rear. Comparing the two companies, the Hankook tyres are definitely better, I have over 200km on the front drive at the moment and they transfer power to the road much better. On moderately wet pavement they amaze me, I have the impression that they grip better on wet pavement than on dry pavement. For the value for money, I recommend them highly. My brother has 2.0 Turbo tyres on his Vectra C and also recommends them. Read more Collapse

The tyres have never led to a dangerous situation on the road. On the contrary - I have the impression that they have sometimes helped, e.g. when braking sharply. Wet handling very good - with common sense. The tyres are quiet, which is a definite advantage on the road. Durability may be lower than that of more expensive rivals, but it's no exaggeration - the tread doesn't disappear in sight. The look of the tyre is quite classic, visually it should fit any model - if it matters to anyone ;) Recommended for those looking for a price/quality ratio. Read more Collapse

I have been riding on these tyres since new, they were fitted at the factory. In 2015 I bought two additional tyres because one of the tyres used so far suffered serious mechanical damage. The tyres are not bad, but they do not excite me. They definitely lose in all categories to tyres like Continental , Michelin or even Nokian. In my other two cars I use Yokohama tyres and I have to say that with Yokohama the Hankooks also lose, I mean mainly in terms of noise, but also in terms of water drainage and grip in various conditions. If I were to recommend some tyres, I would recommend Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115. Their behaviour on dry vurface is great, no swerving etc. I am not afraid to take some corners at 120 MPH. On wet the braking is fine, and during starting they only sometimes spin a little bit. But it doesn't cause any problems. Maybe it's me who starts too dynamically. To sum up, I am glad I chose Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres to fit my vehicle. They give safety to me and my passengers in every situation on the road. Read more Collapse

I didn't use Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 in winter, but I definitely recommend them. They are fine for both dry and wet surface, it all depends on speed, at high speeds in the corners they lose grip a bit, but they have never let me down on dry. I think that I wouldn't have any problems if I had four same tyres, and I have two Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 and two Dunlop SP Sport. However, I will definitely buy two more Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres as they are reliable and have never let me down. Read more Collapse

I've had them for about 30,000 km so durability is not something I can assess. So far there is no wear. Very quiet, very economical, for the price it is really worth recommending. There have been no problems in the wet or dry, even though the car has a high centre of gravity. After changing to these tyres it seems as if I have no wheels but float above the ground, of course on good pavement. I really recommend them. I bought the car on summer Nexens, which annoyed me the most, that the steering wheel trembled slightly. Compared to them, the Hankooks are much better. The steering wheel doesn't shake, they grip the road much better and they are quiet. The only drawback so far is that the tyre grooves, which are not small, get caught by pebbles and after driving 1km on a dirt road and coming out onto the road, the centrifugal force causes them to break off and hit the wheel arch. I purchased the tyres in spring 2015. Definitely the quality of the tyre for the price is very good. Holds very well on bends, driving at speeds of 160-170 km/h on the motorway among others, full grip of the vehicle. Can drive fast in the rain as I have not observed any loss of grip. Low tread wear. In my opinion, even with fast and dynamic driving, the tyre should easily last for 3 seasons. In my opinion, it is a candidate for the premium class. Recommended. Read more Collapse

I have been using the Hankook Ventus Prime 2 K11 tyres for 4 months and have driven around 5,000 km on them. I drive on a variety of paved roads (motorway, country roads, commute to work-city). I acquired the 17" tyres at a relatively good price. They are quiet, hold the trajectory well even on bumps. They behave correctly and predictably when driving and braking on wet roads. So far, I can only praise them and recommend them to other drivers . Read more Collapse

First few kilometres perfect, then shot something in the internal structure and were replaced under warranty, now a similar problem which I have to resolve under warranty. Other than that, the tyre is very pleasant, drives quietly, wet grip comparable to my previous Pirelli P7s. ESP does not activate on take-off or braking, which is a big plus. If I consider the problem of a manufacturing defect, I can certainly recommend this model. Read more Collapse

I have these tyres on my mini cooper and would not recommend them to anyone. They slip and slid on every bump in the road. Going around corners and roundabouts is a joke is the road is slightly wet the wheels slip and lock. The saving made having these “mid-range” tyres fitted has not been worth it as they will have to be removed having done less than 5000 miles. They do not feel safe I will be returning to Dunlop Run flat tyres ASAP. Read more Collapse

Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 tyres are very good. On dry they behave sensationally. My driving style is rather calm, sometimes I do more sports driving. On wet the Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 do their job very well. No sliding, therefore I am happy I chose them to fit my car. Their tread wear is also good - I didn't notice any rapid wear. I can definitely recommend Hankook Ventus Prime2 K115 as they have a great quality-price ratio. Read more Collapse

The manufacturer does not say whether there is a rim flange for this size wheel, but I did some research before buying. There is indeed a rim flange, but not a large one (the Continentals had a larger one), but it is sufficient for curbs. The tyre is fine on the road (max. speed 170km/h on the Clio III) and in town. I previously had continental contact and frankly admit that there is nothing to overpay. These are perfectly OK. Read more Collapse

The tyres are very good - in my focus the car drives like glue on dry roads, while in the wet it's also very good - it's really rare to lose grip when starting off. I've had maybe two situations where the front end was oversteering in the wet, but that was more due to high speed when turning than from the tyres. I'm really very satisfied and compared to the goodrichs I had before these hankooks definitely win Read more Collapse

When I bought these tyres I had mixed feelings about the Hankook brand, but after just a few miles on them I knew it was a great choice. I purchased 4 tyres and as yet have only replaced the two rear tyres, the fron tyres which have currently covered in excess of 36,000 mies are still good and with approx 5 mm of tread left.
