Scale of scores: Highest lowest

The Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 is a tyre that has been specially created for drivers who prefer a dynamic style of driving and require more from their tyres than the performance offered by a standard passenger car tyre. This tyre model has been designed to guarantee driver safety, even when driven in a sporty style. The Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 has been fitted with wear indicators for the driver's convenience. By regularly checking these indicators, you can rest assured that you will not miss the moment when the tyre needs replacing. And this moment will take a while to arrive since the tyre's special design effectively extends its lifetime.

Every element of the design of the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 has its role to play for the entire lifetime of the tyre. One of the most important elements i.e. the special rubber compound, guarantees good traction on wet and dry surfaces and low rolling resistance (resulting in reduced fuel consumption). In turn, the use of a special, very thick polyester carcass in the tyre's construction increases the rigidity and durability of the side wall (particularly important in terms of safety when passing corners and tyre durability). Other elements of the tyre ensure excellent steerability and a fast response to steering movements.

These tyres have only covered 26000kms, which is half of what each of Dunlop SP2030 as OE on car as new and Contiental Sport Contact 5 as second set did. I have size 225/45r18 for Mazda 6 2012 which is used by my wife for normal, daily driving on highways. If you want to save 20.00 Euro then go ahead and get those tyres, but it will cost you in the long run, because you will need to replace them in half the time as other best brands. I honestly thought that being listed by Oponeo as a premium brand tyre, it would be a good product, guess not so much. The tread wear is totally uneven as the channels are all different now, and the pressure was maintained at 32PSI and checked every two weeks. I think it’s time to relegate this tyre to medium class tyres. Stay away! - is my opinion and spend €20.00 to € 140.00 more to save yourselves time and money and grief afterwards. Read more Collapse

Hankook not without reason is on the premium list. The tyre I bought out of curiosity after previously used Continental which, unfortunately, very quickly run out after 2 seasons. On well-kept roads Continental did okay but still price/mileage/usage doesn’t come out too well. Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 on the other hand came out pretty good. Tyres stick very well to the road. They are predictable during taking corners. Very well disperse of water so fast ride is easy. We’ll see how it looks as tread starts wearing down. As far as I’m concerned the noise on the smooth roads is minimal. If we ride on poorly constructed or old roads it’s getting louder because of the reinforced tyre, well that and taking parameter of my car into consideration it is also understandable. At the moment I would buy them again. Wear is lower than with the previous ones. Read more Collapse

When I bought the car(second hand), the garage had fitted two new front tyres. The garage was involved in selling sports cars and also raced their own car. They highly recommended these tyres. I was still unsure. A few weeks driving the car had me convinced. These were as least as good as the original fitment if not better. When the rears (original fitment brand) needed replacement, I chose Hankook. And when the fronts needed replacement, again I stuck with Hankook. Not only do they give the car great feel , precise steering and reduced jarring, they deliver high mileage at an excellent price. Hard to beat. Note it is important to set the right tyre pressure to get the best from them. (PS. why no 5's in the scores? That would mean that they're perfect and can't be improved on. I'm sure someone will, sometime. Read more Collapse

I bought those tyres at the beginning of the year. What I immediately noticed was that all these bands are much less comfortable than the tyres that I had before, the Dunlop Sport Maxx. Mainly because the tyres are not well rounded, so the tyres start to bounce and wobble. I thought I could get used to this, but after I’ve put my winter wheels underneath it is a pleasure to drive again. No more bumping. In addition, fuel consumption is about 0.5l per 60miles. It is positive that Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 are safe tyres with ample grip on dry and wet roads. Furthermore, they look good, and the wear indicator is a useful feature. They are slightly noisier (About 3-4 dB) than the tyres that I had before, but I knew at purchase. Read more Collapse

After several hours of searching I found tyres with a low rolling resistance and relatively quiet, so I decided on buying these Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 tyres. The Hankook V12 evo2 K120 tyres surprised me in a very positive way! Although ther’re classified as average, ther’re no different from the premmium class tyres. They’re very predictable, I know exactly when they start to lose their grip. I drive on a 215/45/17 sized tyres which are perfect on our roads. The tyre is quite stiff, but it doesn’t influence the steering wheel in any situation. Next time I may choose the size 205, I am very satisfied with this choise as well. Read more Collapse

These tyres haven’t let me down in an emergency situation on a wet road - a little moose went on the road so I tested and the vehicle in this situation. After this situation the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 made me feel safer than the winter tyres. These tyres are quiet, dynamic and secure. I do not know any better tyre for the wet roads (because of the nature of my work I’ve driven on different tires). With the size 205/45/16 almost I do not feel the sag in the corners, the cornering is tight and stiff. I drove about 10000 miles in the city and at the countryside. The sighns of isn’t noticeable. Recommendable. Read more Collapse

I am very happy with the latest model of Hankook - Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120. The ideal tyre for fast and dynamic driving. To me, the wear indicators placed in the tread are very convenient! The tyre has excellent tensile strength on dry and wet roads. I checked it - I know what I’m saying. When choosing tyres I wanted the model with resistant sidewalls. I hope that the promises of the manufacturers will allow me to enjoy this Korean product of very good quality for a long period time. Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 - a tyre of the middle class that meets my requirements. Perfect on dry and wet roads. I am very happy because the grip of the tyres is perfect. I drive a lot and I am pleased that this model is equipped with a tyre wear indicator. In addition, the tyres have very good conductor for water and mud from the surface. Now in the spring, it is a very practical advantage. Hankook Ventus V12 K120 evo2 are relatively quiet even though it is a directional tread pattern. I would recommend a good price - quality ratio! I fitted some genuine VW 18" Dakar alloys with the Bilstein B14 Coilover suspension….so with tyres and fitting…..about £2400 all in….was it worth it? Cant fault it, no body roll, very quiet and have nitrogen fill tyres too….easy knocking +40 mpg (44 on MFA)…. Make sure when you order you have a fitter as local indepandents do NOT like other supplied tyres so will turn you down. My local VW agent had no such issue and fitted, valve and balanced for £53. The tyres & fitting were £120 cheaper than Black Circles…….. Read more Collapse

Recommendable tyres for an affordable price. I like the tread pattern, the adhesion is good and these don’t make any noise. Because of the height of the profile and characteristics of the suspension of the Seats, which also generally have a hard suspension, it is difficult to say something about the suppression of inequality. I have previous generation of the Hankook Ventus tyres on my rear axle, which already have a little more mileage and also I can’t say anything wrong about them. Read more Collapse

Hi. As I wrote earlier I do not recommend these tyres or the company. Tyres after one season get vibrations that can fall out of the seat and the company insists that the tyres are suitable for driving, You decide for yourselves what to choose. After testing and examination, the tyre is within the norm, i.e. RFV= 6kg and, by comparison, the permissible RFV=14. I do not know if I could drive with such a beating on the steering wheel. Shame about the suspension. Read more Collapse

Done around 6k miles mainly on B-roads grip is outstanding. Also used these tyres on a couple of trackdays. The compound I would say is medium to soft in terms of grip but are wearing like a hard compound. I drive aggressively and these tyres allow me to get the most out of the car yes these are not the most fuel efficient tyres on the market but if you put mpgs before safety that's upto you. I do not recommend these tyres. I think they are made of poor quality materials. The tyres on the drive axle were worn out after 7000km, on the non-drive axle after 7000km, they were worn out to 50%. Of course, the manufacturer did not accept the complaint. Very poor quality. I do not recommend it unless you have a lot of money and are willing to change the tyres every few thousand kilometres. A big negative from me! Read more Collapse

The tyres perform very well, at high speeds of 180-210km/h (of course on the motorway) very quiet inside, the tyres do not float on the asphalt. Driving at such speeds I feel safe, I can also take bends aggressively and there is no question of breaking grip (of course with headway). Before changing tyres (previously used continetals) I could feel a vibration on the steering wheel above 130km/h and thought it was something with the steering system after the change the car behaves perfectly even at high speeds. Road grip is great (probably also a matter of low profile). If I were to assess the price/quality ratio, I would rate it 6 out of 6 Read more Collapse

Having Hankooks previously not owned by it, I did some research and decided on the tires because Hankooks have a reputation for good quality tires at reasonable prices. As a tire throughout the year are a great choice. Categorized as a summer tire, but the grip is just as good in the wet and the dry. And so far is minimal wear on them. I recommend highly! Took a week or so to bed in but once bedded, compared to outgoing tyres, dry grip on a good surface was phenomenal. Enabled the Focus chassis to shine. Also very competent in wet conditions too. Having experienced real problems with uneven wear and profile of cheaper budget brand tyres I’ll no longer be buying anything of lesser quality than Hankook. Read more Collapse

Great tyres, I use them for long journeys of 300-600 km, mainly motorway and city. The wear is minimal. I drive quietly but sometimes aggressively. Excellent water evacuation in the wet. They don't lose traction, which is important. And the look! Highly recommended! Another plus is that they are reinforced! And they have rim flange protection! Read more Collapse

Do not bother looking for something else if you live in Ireland or the United Kingdom, these tires are simply the best for the price. Done 7000 km mainly on motorways - the wire in both front and rear is the same - like new. I was doing 180 kmh on my 2005 diesel SAAB and perfectly managed. 160 km / h during heavy rains and go as if on rails. Read more Collapse

I can fully recommend the tyres. It is a compromise between civil and sports tyres. Due to their sporty nature, they may not dampen bumps perfectly, but that is not what you expect from such tyres in such dimensions. Super handling and grip, plus a cool look on a good rim.
