Hankook Winter i*cept evo2 W320

I took advice from Hankook UK before purchasing these tyres as I wanted to check their compatibility with my car as I went a size narrower than usual (245 vs 265) on the rears, they have a 40 profile instead of a 35. The tyres surprised me in a couple of ways, firstly they were quieter than the summer Goodyear F1's and secondly they gave a much more compliant ride, they also give good fuel economy, I can get over 40mpg cruising at 85mph in continental Europe. It's a bit early to tell what the wear is like as I on put on c3000 miles in the few months they were fitted but there is no discernable wear, I have my car realigned every time I fit or refit tyres to ensure tracking is perfect. I have taken these off now (for the summer) and replaced them with a new set of F1's which are no quieter, no more economical and the ride isn't better either. Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 works really well for some faster driving, on the highways for example. I drive quite a lot so it is kind of important for me to have tyres which will be not too noisy as I travel very often with my family. I need to say that this model provides good driving comfort though. Unfortunately I had no opportunity to test them on some snow, slush or heavier weather conditions. However, I have done some mileage already during rains and on wet surfaces. This tyre drains water perfectly and keep the vehicle on the road with no problems. For a first time I decided to buy Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 and in the same time it is my first SUV tyre set. I had not too many chances to drive on snow but if it comes to traction on slush or wet road I can say anything bad. They are even more quiet than some summer top class tyres which I have used recently. Durability seems to be good enough so far as I noticed only some small signs of wear but there is nothing to be worried about yet. I have only had these about 2 months and done about 1k miles and so far grip seems to be good in all conditions I have swapped to winter tyres from Hankook K120's which I think are an excellent tyre in all conditions, especially in dry, they are not as good as these with a bit more roll due to tread pattern as you would expect from a more open tread but still hold the road well and are predictable on changeable road conditions. Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 works much better when temperature is low and even some snow or slush leys down. When weather outside is more summer than winter this particular tyre loses a little bit quality. It is much better when it is kind of cold outside. Noise and the fuel efficiency are not the most important for me too. The main thing is the grip and it is just great but only on wet and slushy road. Excellent tyre model indeed. I decided to try them by all the parameters and test scores. As this model has been brand new I had no possibility to read any opinions. If you have 4x4 vehicle Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 will give you really nice time and will allow you to use your car fully. This tyre provides sense of confidence and safety too. I was wondering if should I choose this new model or the previous one. I have made some mileage on them already in few different weather conditions. Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 provides good sense of safety and keep the car on the road easily. I had no problems to drive through some snow, braking and starting like normal. Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 works for purpose really well. Driving comfort is on really high level, it is not possible to hear anything annoying inside of the car. Traction during some speed driving on a highways is great. Makes me feel safe. This tyre can handle snow and slush easily too. I am not worried about the roads and weather conditions anymore. Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 is great tyre model. I bought it for decent price. Delivered quite fast. I am satisfied with the quality and performance of this Hankook model. Recently I had some premium class tyre model fitted. I would say that even if Hankook is the middle class officially that it should be changed shortly because quality is much better. I am professional driver from many, many years. I used a lot of different tyres already so I can make some valid opinion though. I used winter tyres from this manufacturer for a first time and I am positively surprised. Traction is great and noise level is really low for a winter tyre. After four winters with some budget tyres models I decided to purchase something better. My choice was Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320. First impression was great. They are much more quiet than previous ones which I used. Much more quiet. Traction on wet road is excellent, keeps the vehicle on the road confidently. I have an impression that Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 may be not the best for some heavy winter weather and a lot of snow but probably there is no tyre model which could handle such conditions. It is more than enough for city driving for most of the time. Especially recommended for 4x4 vehicles. Low noise level and good fuel efficiency are advantages. Probably will buy again. Fitted these to my Audi TTS, so was unsure if performance would be reduced in normal conditions. I have bought Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 not too long ago but I had some opportunities to test them. So far I am really pleased with the driving comfort, especially on asphalt roads. It is quiet and provides good traction. Snow and slush is removed from the surface smoothly. There is no good tyres for ice so I can not expect it from Hankook too. Read more Collapse

No degradation in performance over the original tyres (Dunlop), on dry road surfaces. Weather has not been severe enough to properly assess their performance in snow and ice, but the tyres have performed well in the limited amount of icy conditions we've had in north east England (by late January 2016). Hankook Winter icept evo2 W320 works really nice. I have some premium class tyres fitted on my other car but I can not see any difference in quality between them and Hankooks to be honest.
