I fitted Latitude cross to my Range Rover 2 years ago and have taken it to Mongolia twice and done about 40 000 miles and this seem to be about the life of these tyres on harsh conditions. I have driven them on all surfaces ie;- Gravel sand mud sharp rocks and pot holes. 1 tyre disintegrated at about 20 000 miles but considering the conditions it was not surprising I will be fitting new ones before I take off on another trip to wild parts of the world. On the whole i can recommend these tyres Read more Collapse

Previous reviews made these tyres very appealing. I was used to driving with BF Goodrich A/T. The Michelins are only slightly better and give more feedback through the wheel. They rate the same on wet and dry roads but give less body roll. They are a very bumpy ride.I have now done about 5000miles with them and may only get the same wear out them again before they need changed which is dissapointing. Think.I will go back to BF Goodrich or anothet brand when they need replaced Read more Collapse

Good tyres for mix highway and light off-road. Good grip on wet. These may not last as long as other brands tyres but this is a compromise of extremely good grip on wet surfaces. As a light off-road tyre it is a very good grip, not best self cleaning on muddy ground but wouldn’t expect anything better from a 50/50 tyre I use them on my Nissan Navara and again very happy (25k miles annual) these will last me minimum of 2 seasons Read more Collapse

People think the chunky style of these tyres means they'll be noisy and slow on the road. That's not the case and I often get compliments about them. My tyres have a hard time with lots of slow work and much turning plus fast runs in between. Despite that, the front pair lasted more than 22,000 miles. Overall, I'm very satisfied with them and have bought more since the first pair. Read more Collapse

Auto Bild Allrad 215/65 R16 recommended -
Scale of scores: Highest lowest

Technology description:

The tyre combines the features of comfort and efficiency from luxury car models with the performance of products intended for off-road . Does such a solution work in practice? The Michelin Latitude Cross summer model proves that it is possible. The tyre has an asymmetric tread specific in tyres for powerful cars such as luxury SUVs, and aggressive blocks interspersed with a network of grooves typical for off-road tyres. This means that the Michelin Latitude Cross tyres provides traction on off-road tyres, on-road ride comfort and high wear resistance.

The asymmetric tread pattern provides the car with stability during dynamic manoeuvring and cornering . At the same time, the tread efficiently drains water and protects against aquaplaning. When driving in terrain, the Michelin Latitude Cross tyres offer traction and grip suitable for classical off-road tyres. The aggressive pattern improves control of the car on difficult surfaces, such as wet grass .  Michelin Latitude Cross provides a significantly improved ride of comfort for off-road tyres. They use "Silent Tread Design" technology, which provides a level of acoustic comfort appropriate for the road tyres .

In the production of the tyres, a compound was used which is normally applied by Michelin in industrial type tyres. As a result, they managed to create a tread resistant to wear by stones and gravel.  The Terrain Proof compound will allow you to overcome the wilderness without the risk of quick wear. .  This model is designated for universal SUVs and pickups.

Manufacturer Info:

This is why it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that for many years, they have been present in various disciplines of motor sport (such as The World Rally Championship WRC and many others) - and Michelin tyres are used by the best car racers and motorcyclists .
