    Opinion from outside the UK

I have been looking for good tyres for a long time, read reviews, compared manufacturers' data and, of course, prices. These tyres turned out to be the best for me. I approach the roundabout faster, I do not have to slow down strongly before the arches - as it was in the case of previous tyres, when the car was scurrying along the way and not holding grip. The car keeps up perfectly. I bought tyres in the promotion - I hunted them for a few months. Twice the price of used ones, which last only for one season. Read more Collapse

This is my second visit and now have my Touareg on Michelins all round previously Goodyear which was not a bad tyre to be fair but I have always changed all my vehicles to Michelin they are by far the best tyre available in every single way!! Most off all for the safety of holding your vehicle to the road and more important stopping quickly wet or dry I know for a fact they have saved me a collision on numerous occasions with the unrivaled stopping ability!! The car originally came with Pirrelle's but they only lasted less than 7,000 miles with moderate driving. I have had the latitudes for 4,000k and showing about 1/4 wear on all four tyres. The tyre has less sound generation although that does not have much impact on driving. I will most likely buy these again when the current ones expire. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I've been driving since April this year on Michelin tyres, Volvo xc90 suv, I've driven over 10,000 km, at a speed of 90-100 / km, you can hear the noise of the tyres, otherwise everything is ok. Tyres visually are very appealing, after driving so many km I do not see any losses on the tread. recommend Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Good grip on dry and wet roads; low noise and good absorption of irregularities. "Aggressive" tread pattern; used on some sporadic dirt roads, good performance even on off-road. Given the low mileage, I am unable to judge the longevity and issues, which have not occurred yet. Read more Collapse

Technical description:

The Michelin Latitude Sport 3 is a high-performance summer tyre designed for crossover vehicles/SUVs, which is notable for its safety, durability and cost-effectiveness.

One of the key features of the tyre is the rubber compound used to manufacture the tread, which is enhanced with silica and elastomers in order to deliver outstanding mileage performance without loss of safety at the same time as fuel savings. The use of varying groove widths also reduces fuel consumption by preventing tread block deformation, which plays a large part in increasing rolling resistance.

The Michelin Latitude Sport 3 also features an increased number of grooves on the tread pattern. This guarantees outstanding vehicle handling on wet roads, and a high level of safety in challenging weather conditions as a result. The central section of the tread features a continuous rib which improves braking and acceleration performance.

High levels of durability are guaranteed by the two-ply carcass.

Manufacturer details:

Michelin is one of the world's largest tyre manufacturers. The French-owned company, whose mascot has been Bibendum (also known as the Michelin man) almost since its very beginning, supplies a range of premium-end products. The company's history started when the brothers Édouard and André set up business back in 1889. Within a matter of years, Michelin became one of the pioneers of the tyre industry.

The group currently owns brands such as Michelin, Kleber, BFGoodrich, Riken, Taurus, Kormoran, Warrior, Siamtyre, Tigar, Euromaster and Recamic, and it is also actively involved in motor sports. Until 2006, Michelin manufactured tyres for Formula 1 vehicles. It specialises in the production of tyres for passenger cars, lorries, motorbikes, aeroplanes and spaceships, as well as bicycle tyres and inner tubes. The company also publishes maps and tourist guides. The French group has owned Olsztyńskie Zakłady Przemysłu Gumowego "Stomil-Olsztyn", known as Michelin Polska, since 1995.
