Nexen N'Fera SU1

I was looking for mid range tyre that didn't cost a fortune as I'm a moderate road user but having an almost 200bhp car, I like to give it a bit of punch sometimes. I wanted a quiet tyre, but with good grip, especially in the wet and found these tyres to do just that. They're longer lasting than the Michelin (soft tyre so wears faster but great for grip) and I'm hoping they will last like Pirelli (hard tyre so long lasting but not the best grip in my opinion). They're better for grip and durability than the Nexen Eco Blue that I had on my last car and at just over £200 for four corners I think they are excellent value and will be looking to stick with these in future. Satisfied with the Nexen winter tyres, I purchased a set of 18 inch summer tyres. To be honest, I did not expect such sensational tyres from this company. The specialist was shocked that no more than 20 grams of weights go on the 18 inch rims. The tyres look very classy, just like high end tyres. Reliable handling on dry and wet roads. Excellent cornering grip. Superb. If you want to overpay for Michelin or Goodyear, go ahead. I have saved a few hundred pounds for a "brand" and have tyres with the same parameters. The Koreans have done their homework and give the same thing for a reasonable price. I have already recommended it to a few friends, as it is a new brand and not everyone trusts it yet. Frankly speaking I am in a huge shock. Previously I was using Continental tyres nut recently, when the old set was worne completely I decided to try something else. The are over two times cheaper and I do not see any diffrence!!. I compare then as they were both new. Zero problems in the rain also when it's dry. I didn't even feel any vibrations at speeds around 130mph. The only reason why I didn't go faster was because my car is a bit scary to drive :) The tread of the tyre after the whole season looks like new. If somebody doesn't drive a supercar with extreme performance I am certain that Nexen N'Fera SU1 would be a tyre for him. Read more Collapse

I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised off how much value for the money I got after buying Nexen N'Fera SU1. My car sticks to the road very well. Sometimes the ride feels a bit harsh when driving into potholes but it's probably because the tyres are reinforced. On the other hand, my friends say that for rear wheel drive BMW it is better to buy reinforced tyres and put them on the rear axle because they won't wear so fast. So far I am very happy. I can see any tyre wear. I will be able to tell more after the season but for now I can tell that they were worth buying and I will be rocommending Nexen N'Fera SU1 to my friends. Read more Collapse

I've bought many brands over the years and have mostly stuck with Goodyear, until 2012,.. In 2012 I had to replace a tyre quickly and the only one available was a Nexen, since then I've never looked back and this is the forth set I've purchased. For the price, I think you'll find it hard to find any brand to beat them. Current set has been on for 22000 miles are there's still 6mm on the back and at least 4mm on the front. Most of my mileage is on the motorways, where I've fond them to have perfect road manners and never once have I felt uncomfortable , even during the worst of the scottish weather. Read more Collapse

I was looking for a tyre in 225/45R18 size, which would relatively reconcile the criteria of price and quality. The brand which came across was Nexen. I started to read about the manufacturer and the various models of tires they do. It turned out that Nexen N'Fera SU1 is their flagship model. The score in German AutoBild come off well. The test appreciated it's noise levels and described it as quiet. After making over 1500 miles I can tell definately that the comfort of the ride is very good. Besides that they look narrower from Fuldas I have on the front axle, everything else is fine with them :) If I had all four of them I wouldn't noticed that probably. Or mayby it is something wrong with my eyes :) To be serious now Nexen N'Fera SU1 is a good tyre and I can recommend it. If they stand over 20000 miles I will buy them again, The back where they are fitted is sticking to the road as glued on dry and wet. The worst tyres I have ever fitted, very bad from all points of view: almost non-existent and very fragile tyre carcass, inconsistent shoulder. The tyre carcass is almost non-existent and very fragile, and the shoulder is inconsistent. The 225/40/18 tyre in question burst after a slight impact with a bump on the asphalt and was torn apart when I continued for a few metres at walking pace to clear the carriageway. After less than 4000 km I took them apart and threw them in the bin. They are worth much less than they cost. Not recommended! Read more Collapse

I was happy with the purchase as soon as the tyres arrived because they have a nice design and the cost was low, but then using the tyres I had to change my mind: poor grip in the wet and also on the dry shoulder that was saggy and also not very resistant, in fact one of the tyres was torn on one side and I had to replace them before time. After buying winter tyres from the same company, I bought summer tyres. I still have a second car where I made the same purchase and I am not sorry. The tyres work well - summer and winter. The parameters of the tyres and their use are on a par with those of higher classes, and in fact there is no difference. I personally recommend the winter and summer tyres. Read more Collapse

Having these tires on the front for a few months now and for a cheap tire, they are surprisingly great! For a diesel fiesta of 90 hp, there was no need to buy tires of superior quality to me, so I highly value them for the type of car I used! Very good traction in the dry, accelerating and cornering. Very good braking in the dry. Not noisy even in a cabrio. Less comfortable than a Premium brand on the rough edges of the road. I’m not a fast driver but I can say the tyres are very good. Special on wet conditions. 70-80 mph whit heavy rain the car runs perfect. First I look to buy hankook but I change my mind and buy this. I've only had the tyres for a few months so I can't say much about durability for example, the ride comfort is decent for drivers with a moderate driving style, for aggressive drivers they may be too soft. They handle wet and dry quite well. For me, the Dunlop Sport 9000 is quiet, because I had the Dunlop 9000 before and it was a noisy tyre. Read more Collapse

Very good tires, good traction on both wet and dry asphalt; quiet; low rolling resistance. Used mainly in the city - the lack of any signs of wear and reinforced sides perfectly protect the wheels against curb. Tires were instructed me during the Spring revision in the ASO Mercedes. I will say that I am pleasantly surprised by this brand of tyre. I used continental tyres before and I can't tell the difference. No problems on wet or dry roads. No vibration at higher speeds. These tyres have (so far) been excellent. Good price and great service from openeo. Have not encountered one issue with grip or performance. I am not a mad driver but things can get a little 'spirited". These tyres have not put a foot wrong. I will buy again, can't think of a better recommendation than that. Read more Collapse

since I have changed my 4 tyres I have a loud noise in the car. believing it to be a balancing fault I had it checked even though it was noisy. Dry grip is phenomenal, wet grip is excellent, very quiet tyre and just as economicalways as the continental I had before, also just as grippy if not better than the contis, will 100% buy again, had on about 4k miles and barely look touched, very dynamic driving style... recommend to anyone Read more Collapse

At first was a little worried about how they might handle. Took a few miles to get used to them. However, pleased that I've got a lot of miles out of them and don't see why you would pay more for premium tyres having had bad experiences with tyre wear with premium brands in the past. Great tyres for confident driving in all summer conditions, they drain water well and also stick well to the asphalt in dry conditions. The price is very good for the performance of these tyres. I took them off after 1000km because they were so bad. The tyre in question was so much smaller than a competitor of the same size that it did not fit perfectly on the rim. The casing is of poor quality and deforms. Very poor directionality when cornering. I do not recommend them! Read more Collapse

Tyres whose value is only apparent once they have been fitted. A budget/medium brand, but comparable to the best brands on the market. Good wet and cornering performance. I didn't expect it to last as long as it did, after 9,000 km you can't see any wear. Definitely recommend. Read more Collapse

Since fitting both new tyres i noticed less noise inside the car. Previous i had Falken tyres in front. Car drives good on wet or dry surface. Recommend them for everyone. If your looking for good tyres and don't want to spend a fortune this tyres are for you. Read more Collapse

Put all 4 tyres on my bmw 650i, the grip is good does not spin wheels every minute and very quiet. The appearance of the tyre is also very good, comes with rim protection which is important on 20 inch wheels. Will buy the tyres again without even thinking. Read more Collapse

The tyres perform very well in city and motorway conditions, roads being what they are ... so why overpay ... For example, you have to add at least 7 hundred to the Michael is almost two Nexens! I also bought tyres of this brand for the winter. Regards Read more Collapse

Poor grip in sharp corners, wet conditions a total disaster. Compared to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 it is very poor. Of course, this is a different class of tyre and different price, but if you have a faster car, I do not recommend saving on tyres. Read more Collapse

Tyres have a good price-performance ratio. However, if you love your car and pay attention to the details, you should go for premium brand tyres. In my opinion, Nexen tyres are sensitive tyres for low users. They do not like curbs, for example. Read more Collapse

Superb tyres, the only drawback being their softness. However, the price and road behaviour compensate for this disadvantage. I recommend that you replace these tyres more often than you would one or two more seasons on top premium tyres. Read more Collapse
