RainSport 3 is a summer tire, which is ideally suited to harsh weather conditions. Uniroyal, the brand known for its rain tires, developed a tire model that performs very well on wet roads, making driving safer. The modern tread design ensures quick water removal from under the front of the tire. A wet road is not a threat to a car fitted with RainSport 3 tires. The model has been designed for mid-range cars and SUVs.

Grip

Adhesion:

The car "sticks" to the road and performs safely when cornering, as the tread of RainSport 3 has many 3D grooves and elastic shoulders, which ensure a better grip. These features are particularly important during heavy rain. The car behaves reliably, responding well to the driver's commands and the drive is safe. The manufacturer is strongly focused on the maximum safety of drivers, therefore it has used a special rubber blend designed to improve grip.

Aquaplaning

Protection against aquaplaning:

When designing this model, the manufacturers were inspired by a water predator, so the model uses a unique shape of water-draining grooves that is similar to the structure of shark skin. The innovative solution and fine grooves that regulate the flow of water ensure excellent performance on wet surfaces. The shape of the tread prevents the loss of grip when the car drives over, e.g. a puddle. As a result, drivers using RainSport 3 are additionally protected against aquaplaning.

Driving

Driving:

RainSport 3 tires have a top-class wet grip category, marked according to European standards with the letter "A". This is very important information for drivers who want to drive safely and to feel confident behind the wheel of their cars. The asymmetrical tread pattern used in RainSport 3 increases the area of the tire’s contact with the ground, whereas the uniformly distributed pressure reduces the wear of tires and corrects any misalignments.

Uniroyal Logo

Uniroyal is a well-known producer of excellent rain tires. The company is owned by the German concern Continental, which produces top class tires. In addition to Uniroyal, Continental owns also other brands, including Barum, Semperit, Sportiva and Matador.

The tyres recommendable especially in wet weather, they were created for such weather conditions. Good lead on dry and wet asphalt, relatively quiet. On the previous generation of Uniroyals I drove even on winter, the bit problem was only on the ice. The only minus for is me that you can not go faster than 90mph, becouse about 100 – 105 mph gently vibrates the steering wheel. Compare to Bridgestone Turanza ER 300 on which I also rode there was no such problem that it was but please notice that was premium class tyre. Uniroyal is a mid-range tyre but it is very close to the premium class. The tyres look really great because of their unique tread pattern When it comes to consumption, driving only the season, so far I have not noticed a bigger consumption. However, I noticed that their grip and braking in dry and wet weather conditions is great. The Uniroyal tyres will not disappoint you. Maybe for such car as mine, I have a BMW and Mercedes rather I should have bought something from higher class but those tyres are ideal in my opinion . In summary, if you can afford to spend more money or you have a very fast car you can buy something better (unless you are driving mostly around the city, then it is not of great importance), The Uniroyal – RainSport 3 tyres are one of the best value for money. What is more, you will feel safety and that is the most important thing. I do recommend these tyres to everybody. Read more Collapse

The biggest negatives of my previous tyres wich they were Continental Contisport 3 was incredible sensitivity to ruts into the road and problem in steering. The Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres solved these problems. They stick to the road even in the most demanding weather conditions and dosen’t generate any vibration.I had absolutely no problems with balancing, wheel alignment or steering. The resistance is comparable to the width of the tyre and is typical for any brand tyre, that is without reservations. The tyres are quite soft that can be felt during fast driving, but does not interfere with normal using. They are very comfortable and pattern tread look very nice and sporty. I cant complain about regarding behavior on dry and wet surfaces, simply brilliant, which is not surprising in the case becouse Uniroyal is considered the inventor of the rain tyre. While driving on a highway in Croatia I've encountered biggest rain I ve ever seen while driving a car.. Despite the fact that the wipers could not keep pace.and the road looked like a riverI could boldly go 70-80 mph risking nothing. The tyres did't lose contact with the road even for a moment and ideally would discharge the water from under the wheels and there was no problem with aquaplaning. I recommend these tyres. Excellent purchase. Very good quality to price ratio. The Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres my brother recommended me who has the same 17 inch model and is also very happy. I drive mainly in a city and I have nothing to complain about regarding behavior on dry and wet surfaces, they’re getting on very well even at speeds of 80-90 mph. They are quite loud but propably becouse of tread pattern and also of the old bearings, surely it also depends on the car and its attenuation. I drove on them about 7000 miles and I can’t complain, there are absolutely no wear signs apart from a few cuts from glass or are any sharp stones but until today I have not damaged any tyre. The Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres look great even on my crooked alloys wheels. I drove normally, I don't prefer sporty or aggressive driving. The tyres are perform very well and stick to the road even in the most demanding weather conditions and dosen’t generate any vibrationI can easily recommend the Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres and other models from this manufacturer to every driver. The best value for money priced. Read more Collapse

The tyre with good value for money. For the price we get a mid-range product that perform on the wet condition the same or even better as tyres Michelin Energy Saver or ContiPremiumContact 2. When it rains you just do not need to slow down. Not removing hands from the steering wheel when we hit a rut full of water. On a dry surface it is also fine, but dry conditions are doing practically all the tyres. Volume tyres do not mind but I can not judge it objectively. It is rather comfortable tyre. The sides of the tyres are soft and feel it in faster cornering. Appearance tyres on big plus. This is not the most important factor, but if on the occasion of the tyre looks nice on the car is worth highlighting. In my opinion besides Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta it is probably in the order of second best-looking tyre. I recommend especially for those who are looking for comfort tyres with excellent value for money and good behavior in the wet. Read more Collapse

The tyre is supposed to class A on the label when it comes to wet grip. Unfortunatly that's not true. When you drive into a puddle the ESP system has really a lot of work. The Uniroyal RainSport 3 are very soft tyre a big plus of that is driving comfort. The tyres beats when it is cold but when they catch the right temperature it's all good. The class A for wet grip for this tyre is rather a joke.I use them from the second half of March I have them in the second half of March I also have some doubts about the TWI indicator. Its basically the blob, which indicates that the water does not easily escape from under the tyre which often resulted in the phenomenon of aquaplaning. It was quite dangerous on the road. Just to be clear, I drive usually in a city, do not drive professionally or sports, usually expresswayi and highways. In my opinion the price is very attractive so the choice is yours! I hope It was helpful Read more Collapse

I decided to purchase Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres and I am very dissapointed The tyre is a very soft and the car just float on it. In previous brigs handling precision was incomparably better. At the beginning I had problems in the corners but I thought it was the car's fault. It turned out to be a tyres problem. This morning I drove into puddles at 70 mph and I had the impression that the car just to float on it. The steering wheel twisted slightly to the left and the car started spinning out of control and flew right into the woods. If you prefer faster driving I do not recommend Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres for you. At higher speeds tyres are simply dangerous so and you should invest in better quality tyres. I would add to all this that I have the factory sport suspension in my car and the tyre characteristics terribly spoiled his work.I drove onthis tyres about 8000 miles. I do not recommend it to anyone. Read more Collapse

Nice appearance and quite a good ride on the water. Total mistake turned out to buy these tyres. If I had ridden Matiz it can be everything could worked. However, the tyres totally not suitable for faster ride, so if you have a sports car you have to be really careful. First time I have contact with the product, which above 90 mph takes literally swim. When I have drove on the highway at 120 mph I felt insecure. Tyres weird bounced on the ruts and holes. The car started to slipped. Whats more, the tyres are quite loud during overcoming bows. I did not expect that. I also experienced aquaplaning which was very disturbing. I am very disappointed. I was expecting much better product. My previous tyres AVON ZV5 was much better. Don't be tempted sporty in appearance of the tyres.I do regret my decision I do not recommend Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres. I hope that my opinion will be helpful. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres based on the opinions of Internet users and I am very disappointed. The only thing good I can say about these tyres is actually a pretty good grip on wet surfaces. Tyres intended for calm city driving. In these conditions the tyre is quiet and comfortable but a cheapest Chinese tyre is enough for such a ride The biggest drawback of Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres is according to me a fatal grip on the corners. And I don't mean about very fast, sporty drive but on the highway at 90 mph fear to enter into a larger arc, because the car lost contact with the surface sometimes even activated ESP. I've never had similar problems with my previous tyres and the car was going in the corners as on rails. To sum up: tyres for people who like to feel safe in the wet and do not recommend for people who like a little more dynamic ride especially on curves. Read more Collapse

The tyres good in general, confirm all the reviews about good traction on wet condition. The Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres are incredibly soft. On the one hand that improves the driving comfort experience because dampen inequality. On the other hand that make them susceptible to damage, especially when approaching the curb. Propably the bigest advantage is their appearance. They looks superb on the car. Previously I ridden for four years on Yokohama Advan Sport tyres and was really hard to damaged tchem. In the case of Uniroyal tyres last season, three times I was in the fitting station to repair the tyre. At the beginning of this year again I damaged one tyre but this time I will have to replace it. Maybe becouse the low profile of the tyre 45, but such things simply should not happen. I have never had such problems on Yokohama tyres. Read more Collapse

The tyres are not very expensive but very cool. The car really holds the road well. Some people write that the car ‘’floats’’ at speeds above 90 miles / h ... I personally have not noticed this behavior even when driving on the highway 120 miles \ h. Maybe its a matter of suspension. The performance in wet conditions even better. The car stick to the road even in the most demanding weather conditions and dosen’t generate any virbation. Great drains water. The only thing that bothers me is the behavior of a tyre with while under the curb, faster entry to the curb can damage the rim. As for the durability of the tyre i need more experimence in this case to expres my opinion . Generally, in this price range is a tyre recommendable. I do recommend to everyone. Read more Collapse

One of the tyres burst after 2 days of driving. Just had bad luck.I punctured a tyre on a flat road on the way to my work. I drove at speed 20 mph. There was a leak hole which you can insert two fingers. I went to the fitting station to exchange the tyre. I was very disappointed what I saw. The tyres after 1200 miles normal city driving looked heavily redacted. The tread was completely worn out. I would like to add that I drive quite calmly.. The Uniroyals tyres are a lmore noisy than my previous tyres ,particularly in the most useful range (30 to approx. 50 mph). Their only advantage is the nice look and great perform in wet condition. I wont buy them a second time becouse I m very disappointed, so I would not recommend to others. Read more Collapse

This is second time when I bought the Uniroyal tyres. A few days ago I drove the highway in the rain and snow. No problems with traction, casting and aquaplaning. You could feel that the tread can deal with the disposal of water. Despite category C surprisingly low noise level. My previous summer tyres on this car was Continentale and it seems to me that they Uniroyal are even quieter. Maybe they are still too new, but for now I appreciate the greater level of peace - both in driving around town and at speeds of 90-130 miles. I strongy recommend - in this price category are almost unbeatable. Their direct rival is probably only the Hankook tyres. When I was writing the comment it was still too early to assess their durability. Read more Collapse

Hello. I've used earlier model Uniroyal tyres on my previous car and I was very pleased. However, the new model Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres, which I recently bought very disappointed me. Just after the purchase the fitter checked geometries in the car and everything was fine. The tyres a very noisy, you can hear them when you drive through the corners. Very quickly they wear out but the car holds the road very well both on wet and dry conditions, which is confirmed by the opinions of other users.. Price for a tyre is quite low but also low is my assessment taking into account the price, quality, pleasure of driving and security. I would not choose and would not buy these tyres again.I do not recommend Uniroyal RainSport 3 tyres. Read more Collapse

I decided to purchase these tyres because of their parameters I was looking for summer tyres that perform well in wet conditions. My previous tyres were Uniroyal RainSport 2 and also I was pleased with them. The Uniroyal Rainsport 3 looks amazing,Very good grip on wet and dry. Good braking, I drove at high speeds and never had the feel car fell into slippage. It makes you feel their safe. I tested these tyres in the rain condition on a bend, where you enter up to 60 km / h I defeated this corner and accelerated to 100km / h. The only drawback is the wide grooves on the tread in which simply enters the stones. I would like to recommend the Uniroyal Rainsport 3 to everybody. Very good quality to price ratio. As a long term fan of the rainsport on other cars I am sad that I just can't recommend these tyres in place of the standard BMW runflats. The sidewalls are just far too soft even on the XL rated tyres and I now have no confidence really pushing the car because I'm never really quite sure how it is going to behave. Fast changes of direction are a no no. They're fine if you just want to go to the shops and back but if you actually want the car to feel good when pressing on then stay away. I won't be buying these for this car again. One good thing I can say is that they are excellent in the rain as always, I had no slides or aquaplaning in heavy standing water (6.5mm tread on the tyres at that time). Read more Collapse

They provide great performance in the warm and wet conditions. In the case of very high temperatures (+35 degree) becoming softer and and it can wear out faster without too much gassing. They are bit noisy than my previous tyres but it is still barely hearable. Transverse unevenness causing the impression that the car jumps (it may be just becouse the low profile). As for the durability of this tyre it has lifted a lot compared with Toyo Proxes tyres that after half a year it was damaged, not worth anything.Their tread pattern looks amazing (SharkTechnology). having read most of the reviews for the uniroyal 3 rain tyre I was looking forward to getting them fitted however was so disappointed although they feel safe on wet roads you can't get away from the fact that overall these tyres feel so soft on the road making the car feel as if your driving on jelly . Driving on mostly country or B roads they don't give you much feedback from the road rather that your floating along , now going to put them on the back . Overall they might be effective on wet roads you just don't feel safe at higher speeds and they tend to under steer around bends just being honest and wouldn't buy them again Read more Collapse

Once more I realized that Uniroyal doesn't disapoint. Uniroyal Rainsport 3 is very good on wet road, which doesn't surprise me much, cuz the previous models were also very good. I've noticed that in comparison to the previous generations Uniroyal Rainsport 3 had improved its performance on dry road. It's all thanks to large blocks on the tyre's shoulder I can feel comfort and stability while making any sudden moves with my car. I highly recommend Uniroyal 3 - it's safety and security on every road! Read more Collapse

Hi everybody! I've recently bought the newest model of Belgian tyre company - Uniroyal Rainsport 3 and I am very surprised of very good performance on dry road. The noise level has been significantly decreased. Asymetric tread gives you very good comfort while driving and improves your grip on wet road. One more, important thing: Uniroyal Rainsport 3 has increased Pirmness which causes it not to deformate too often and this results in less fuel consumption. I highly recommend Uniroyal Rainsport 3! Put all 4 new tyres about 10 months ago. Has driven around 12 000 miles. Result - rear tyres have gone, front still has about 3-4 mm tread left. Nice tyre on wet road. Ok ish on dry. Gives me a lot of over steering which I like anyway. Low noise - at 30 mph is almost silent. Wear could be better but I drive Merc RWD so loads of torque which these tyres seem don't like. Overall good value for money if buying from Oponeo but not paying ridiculous double price from Kwik fit or likes. Read more Collapse

I drive a heavy car . Long motorway journeys . This tyre has performed perfectly . For the money they are the best on the market . No aquaplaning even on the wettest roads . Loose no grip on islands or corners in the wet . Stopping is equally good . I've just passed 4500 miles on a set of four and not even touched the back and easily do another 6000 on the front . I am so impressed I will never buy another tyre such is my confidence . Total 5 star A plus tyre . Read more Collapse

ok atm i have RS2 on front and RS3 on back of my car (RWD Drive) the old ones are not giving me the safety i want (quite often ABS tries them, on turns can feel more than a bit of understeer) but the rear feels like glued to road no matter what conditions im driving, and i have changed them from michelins!! soon front will get same pair and then, no worries at all on road! Can't fault theses tyres, with having rear wheel drive Mercs the rear end had been flirting all over place! Badly on wet surfaces, decided it must be the tyres so replaced them with Uniroyal, no more skidding hold the road brilliant, couldn't believe how good there were in the Snow! 2 on the front soon. You won't be disappointed with these tyres. Read more Collapse

Got these to replace the Chinese sunny tyres the dealer put on the car ( very noisy ) as they were not so good in anything but perfect weather . Rainsport3 is a very good tyre indeed ,quiet, very good wet grip only find the side walls on the soft side when driving hard but other than that the ride is spot on. Read more Collapse

I've always rated Uniroyal tyres and although I find that they don't last as long as some brands the reliability and road holding they provide makes them the no.1 choice for myself, family and customers, rainsport 3 are superb in the wet and corner like a go-kart in the dry..
