If you are looking for all-season tyres which perform well in any conditions and ensuring driving comfort regardless of the weather, Vredestein Quatrac 5 is the perfect solution. The model uses an asymmetric tread which combines all the features that guarantee confident driving in all seasons.

The structural division into the summer and winter section ensures optimised seasonal properties and, thus, a higher road safety. The asymmetric external longitudinal groove offers excellent grip bends and a quick acceleration on ice and snow. The summer section is responsible for driving properties, dry and wet grip as well as optimum driving precision. The winter section of the tread, with its high-tech sipes, ensures stability and grip on cold and snowy surfaces.

Vredestein Quatrac 5

The tyre is based on a compound which ensures an appropriate flexibility in a wide range of temperatures. The addition of silica improves the structural durability and ensures a longer life. Furthermore, the even distribution of pressures acting against the tyre surface means that the tread wears out slowly and evenly. You may fully enjoy the performance of Vredestein Quatrac 5 without worrying about wear over time.

The model is a good option for all drivers who don’t want to worry about the seasonal replacement of tyres and, at the same time, want to travel comfortably and safely throughout the year.

    Opinion from outside the UK

Vredestein Quatrac 5 are my first all-season tyres. I’ve decided for this alternative with the hope that the current technological progress will provide me with a few years of safe use, and I will finally avoid queuing for the fitting statin twice a year. I drive a small Fiesta MK6, covering about 12k km a year - mainly urban driving. After a half a year of use (including winter) Ima positively surprised. Asymmetric winter and summer tread. In the "dry" conditions, there are no problems. It is quiet, it sticks well to the road, so far resistant to abrasion. The situation is similar in the case of wet conditions, where in the case of smooth, less aggressive driving, I did not feel any slips, no control. I feel very confident in the car. Last winter I was a little disappointed, because the nature was really kind. It is true that snow appeared several times, but in quantities "below average" and I cannot consider it as a testing ground for tyres. Nevertheless, I did not feel any difference to previous cold-weather (Dębica Frigo 2). The Vredestein Quatrac 5 has not let me down yet and I hope it will stay that way. I recommend with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

Silence, silence and, above all, silence, that's what I expected from these tyres. And I was not disappointed! In addition, the tyre suppresses inequalities very well. Traction properties of the tyre also do not leave much to be desired. ABS and traction control have practically nothing to do. Driving at high speeds is exemplary, the ruts do not adversely affect the driving path. Finally, the cons: The soft sides of the tire become noticeable when negotiating bends at high speed (the car slightly floats). Another maybe a bit of a trivial minus, but still, it's the look of the tyre ... I did not just test them in the snow. Generally tires are worth recommending, especially for those who value the comfort of traveling. RECOMMEND Read more Collapse

Very good tyres for the money. Brilliant for the wet and windy conditions of the UK and good in the extreme winter too. Have done over 10.000 miles on them since January and still good for another 10 so great on the long performance and value for money. No more carrying 2 sets of tyres for winter and summer anymore for me. I live 400 metres up in the valleys of Wales and drive all over the southwest. Tyres get the extremes of all conditions. As good as the best winter tyres and 80 per cent as good as the best brand of summer tyres. Will slide very slightly in very hot dry dusty roads but then again what tyres don't. In the rain these are unbeatable which is 50 per cent of the U.K. a climate Read more Collapse

In recent years, I changed my summer and winter tyres. This time I decided to try a set of tyres 4 seasons. This is my garage who advised me the Vredestein tyres. In the first kilometres on wet + snow and ice, I felt safe. A little early for a final opinion but looks promising. I find the price is quite reasonable in comparison with two sets of tyres. Immediately observed a good attitude in curves and turns on cold ground and snow in the highway exits. As it is, I recommend and will certainly complete in the future if I had any additional comments on this Vredestein Quatrac 5 Read more Collapse

I hope to get another winter out of them if I'm careful in the next few months. They didn't see too much heavy snow last winter (skiing in France) so can't be too definitive on that. ~They did get worn over the summer (rather hot at times) and seemed to cope well, although wear was probably a little higher than if Id changed to summer tyres. Oversteer could be a problem for some, but possibly it also depends on the car. My advice would be to get two on the front and if not happy just switch them to the back. Read more Collapse

I live in a very rural location where the roads are poorly maintained with frequent potholes caused by continual heavy rain. The tyres have performed very well with no sign of slippage or any feeling of losing control. Road noise seems to have only marginally increased over my previous standard tyres but this is hard to judge as the tyre treads were wearing thin when they were replaced. Overall I have been satisfied with the cost/performance of these tyres and will certainly look at buying them again. Read more Collapse

A search of four seasons certified mountain and 18 inches, there is almost nothing on the market, I opted for this tire which was voted No. 1 by AutoBild in 2015, an international benchmark motor journal. In the wet I no longer recognize my vehicle as it gained security / adhesion compared to the old. I tested it in the Massif Central on dubious road this winter, and the snow parks no complaints. too bad for national Bibendum who will not release his climate in 18 inch. Read more Collapse

Very quiet tyres. These are my second all-season and previous tyres, despite the fact that they were also very loud compared to those of the premium class. Due to the lack of snow this winter I cannot judge the behaviour of the tire in worse conditions but I know that the choice of the year-round tire was accurate. After covering several thousand kilometres in half a year, the tires are practically new. I would recommend. Read more Collapse

Fuel consumption appears to be no different to the previous Michelin Primacy tyres though, road noise is very slightly higher. It's too early to say about longevity, but so far wear looks acceptable for the mileage. Good grip on forestry roads, but as we have had such a mild winter, there has been no opportunity to test performance on snow or ice. Read more Collapse

Tyre worth recommending. Driving conditions - dry / very wet surface. In the area route / mountains / city. Perfectly drain water, very good adhesion, braking without a problem. If so and in winter conditions. This is finally the end of the changing tyres every season. Cannot rate them for winter driving as yet. Can’t wait to test them in winter. Read more Collapse

About 10k km covered mainly urban, dynamic driving. However, whether driving a car on snow or hot asphalt, I do not feel that it is a tyre that is in a sense a compromise.
