Yokohama ADVAN Sport V103

I cover around 120,000 km a year. I change my summer tyres twice a season for new ones. I have always had some strange problems with the tyres, with blocking, excessive wear, buzzing and edge grinding, despite the car running at 100%. I bought the Advan sport by accident, I didn't know much about these tyres, more as an experiment, and it's the first tyre I've never had a problem with, and the handling of the car in the rain in sharp corners is simply fabulous. I haven't tested many tyres and I'm not a fanatic who picks up on details, but these particular ones are excellent for me and to my mind have no flaws. For me, a layman in tyre matters, every tyre is a piece of rubber that rolls on the ground, but the Yokochamas, undoubtedly have the advantage of being slow to wear and look great on the car. From many reviews, they have very good handling characteristics, I can only write that I drive on them very well and I have tyres from this company on another car as well. I have been using Yokohama S Drives on my R32 Nissan Skyline for a while now. I had been aware of the Advans, so as they were cheaper by a few quid and times are tight, I thought I'd get these ones instead. They're fine really, but just don't have the same "feel" to them as the S Drives in my opinion (plus they just "sit" better on the car, too). Unfortunately I've had to replace one of them already as I got a 2" screw in it last week and had to get a *retch* budget tyre in a hurry. Will definitely go back to the S Drives when I can. Overall a very good tyre, quiet with a sporty feel. But I ended up with tyres that I couldn't balance. I sold them for next to nothing, or they were badly transported, maybe crushed, maybe they had been in a container for months. I bought a Nokian ZG 2, the best tyre in the world, which I can wholeheartedly recommend. Simply the best! Read more Collapse

I drive a lot and need a reliable tyre. Yokohama is a good choice. It doesn't seem to me to be one of the quietest, but it sticks beautifully. I have them for the first season and I am pleasantly surprised.Over the summer period I cover about 30000 km. No tyre problems whatsoever, very good grip on wet and dry surfaces and in bends and very quiet. I would definitely recommend. Read more Collapse

Long lasting very much worth the money, have swapped front too rear as some scuffing due to large wheels and typical of q7. Quiet and comfortable, road surface of concrete makes them hum. Overall excellent and would purchase again. Read more Collapse

Very cool tyres. They are not loud even at highway speeds, cornering grip and the traction very good, a little worse in the rain.
