Although the name Apollo directs our thinking to a completely different place, the brand comes from India. The company was established in 1972. It quickly became one of the world’s largest tyre manufacturers, which quickly expanded into Asian, African and European markets.
A new stage in the brand’s development was marked by starting a cooperation with the Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, who branded the tyres with his name.
In 2009, Apollo Tyres, based in India, bought out the Dutch company Vredestein and changed its name to Apollo Vredestein BV. As a result, the concern increased its production capacity. The brand’s tyres have earned popularity and trust among drivers thanks to their good quality/price ratio.
The following car manufacturers cooperate with the Apollo brand: Audi, Mercedes, Fiat, Volkswagen and Mitsubishi.
Apollo supports world class football. It sponsors and supplies safe tyres for Manchester United.
