145/65 R15 tyres are installed in family cars. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall where it is provided in a form of a string of numbers (the "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction). The first number in the 145/65 R15 tyre informs about the tyre's tread width (in this case 145 mm). The second number equals the percentage ratio of the tyre's profile height to its tread width (65% out of 145 mm).
