    Opinion from outside the UK

After Debica Directional (was using two full seasons on the Fiat CC and SC), it is time for Polaris 2 (from November of this year - Astra F). The hard way I wanted to know the differences between these models. Accumulated a lot of divergent views on both. Price-wise this winter were virtually the same price. In short, the rubber eye Polaris seems to be harder than Debica ("grope" both, have to stand outside) - it can be concluded that the kilkunastostopniowym cold may be greater differences in opinion, but such temperature this year was not observed. He drove in various extreme conditions. In total, they are similar in terms of utility tyres. More to the point BP2 wet (rain, mud) roads and dry (better brakes and leads) to the DF and vice versa - a point more for DF in the snow (kopny and compacted). Volume: I noticed that the DF are louder on dry (noise), but BP2 get specific echo (ping?) On the wet asphalt, but winter is a secondary matter. Both fully check all winter conditions, using common sense. All in all - to the city BP2, and DF area, but that's just fine because it's a suggestion, however, happily dowiozły Polarisy 2 time (me and my wife in labor) to the hospital, and the conditions were extreme (tens of km at night, in a blizzard and snow drifts). Wonder about what Barumki complain about and describe how they are bad for my summer tyres in the snow have better properties than those described by others. First, comparing them to Debica and so I and this and this so I write what I think. Debica is actually better when starting a better handle on the ground (better car pulls forward) leave it up to the largest Barum little snow but what she gives for it Barum also has its advantages do not rub as fast as Debica (driving on dry pavement) and very important in my opinion, is that it is more sturdy Barum contact with the curb (which often happens in winter) do not end up in permanent damage to the tyre. A year ago, I was on the front axle Debica we all know that winter was not so ridden quite fast for winter tyres turned out that it powychodziły wires, changed the Barum rode the same and nothing has happened. Something for something better grip the snow is quickly paid Debica abrasion and sensitivity. Keep in mind that even the best winter tyres will not guarantee us this summer as the summer grip on the asphalt imagination is the key. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I really liked the tyre until the snow fell yesterday. In the winter we had so far, ie, snowless, the dry or rainy tyre aura is commendable. Unfortunately, the second day of driving in the snow business Octavia snow and slush - mud is still fighting for his life. A very quiet ride. The tyre has minimal traction in the snow, so that in severe and not too fast but Octavia 1.6 box the tyres even on 3rd gear. Inhibition in these conditions is practically nil. The corners do not even remember where I am because I have to go 10 - 15 km / h the car continued to track driving other cars defeats arch 20 - 30 km / h faster. With disbelief, I actually checked the tyres started Polarisy second Unfortunately, I do not seeing things. Personally I'm in my car with similar dimensions and weight started Debica Frigo 2, which are excellent especially on wet, but at the current snow masterfully behave in relation to Barumów. I wish I had another car I had an older model Barumów and were quite to the point. The current speaker wrote it is probably more unfortunately, summer tyres Read more Collapse

Barum winter tyres I bought for the second time. Previous I had an old car and it was an expense representing almost half of the value of the car, so I rode on winter tyres unless the three years. I did not notice that the clash. In the winter the snow conditions behave in my opinion, very well. I do not recall I got stuck somewhere. Rode there where I wanted (within reason, I'm not talking about the drifts to the waist). On the ice and on the ice, I think, that there is no tyre that ślizgałaby not on the ice. In winter, the snow-covered roads I rode confidently and sometimes quite fast for winter conditions and the tyres did not disappoint me. As for noise - I think they are a quiet tyre. Today I bought a new car and then bought winter tyres BARUM. They are quieter than the pre-established summer tyres. For me, at this price they are a really desired to tyre. Although there has never ridden on the more expensive but probably will not be seduced, they are enough for me. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres after reading the ADAC tests and other magazines. Soon more than 70 000 in two cars drove on these tyres CORSA C 1.3 CDTI and 1.6 DEDRA Laci LE. two other cars because the pressure on the front axle but the behavior of other similar tyres. for me from the slush revelation often ahead even more than 80km/hi give advice. ice do not judge because it only result in spikes on the tyres but we do not not have such. For dry or are about TS800 and I say yes, Barumy with abrasion beżnika behave similarly while the TS800 is better not to say worse and worse with age from Barumów. I will tell an interesting thing to wet the whistle and ice are faint if you know what to do with the gas leg many times it has saved me as a very przeszarżowałem. I bought mine from the country of production France but many times I have heard and read that those produced in Romania are very poor quality. The purchase of these tyres has decided reasonable price. At first, I had the opportunity to ride on dry and wet roads, and I noticed that in the first case as a very good winter tyres stick to the corners, the second was much worse ... You can see that the tyre has a pretty big problems with the disposal of water. Revelation in the snow! Better than many more expensive tyres. Behaviour on ice for 1 judge because there just keep studded tyres. The reason why the next time you are unlikely to buy these tyres is strongly felt vibration (could pre-curved tyres?) Above 130km / h Wyważałem and carried out the optimization of the wheel at least 2 times and it did not help (I have a simple rim). Too bad that my set is disabled, because I have to admit that distracts me from the fact Barum'a and Continental'a products, but generally - given the quality / price ratio - judge tyres on 4 +, if not faster than jeździcie 130km / h is even on the 5th Read more Collapse

I decided to comment because my choice was due to the opinion of the users of this site. Personally, I do not have experience with winter tyres but in the end I decided to buy winter tyres and after reading the user reviews I decided to buy a second Barum Polaris As I wrote earlier in the winter not driven on winter tyres ever but every year I make about 15 - 20 thousand km tyres załążyłem before winter and winter tyre must admit this winter, increased comfort and a lot of tyre price is very competitive. When buying winter tyres Barla account yet dębicu frigo cormorant or two but that turned out user reviews Polaris 2 is better. In general, as "amateur" driving on winter tyres and after driving them 3.500 km I can confidently recommend (maybe it's not Michelin but for me the great thing - good to ride and above all at a reasonable price). As for the behavior of the various surfaces in my opinion very well, even with a sizeable snow comes without major problems (I was on Sylwek in Zakopcu). Only weakly on the ice (but rather all the tyres so May ;-) so I gave an average rating of third A similar assessment in rolling resistance and this is because of not really get it what kaman ;-) ie how "to measure" the resistance (and here also because average rating 3). As for the noise in my opinion it is a quiet tyre (as compared to not receive favorable comments about the tyres you've read before, so I thought I zbuczeli with the terribly loud, and to be honest, that only gets louder with speed over 120 km / h ). And as for the "whistling" in the wet ... I like ;-) That was probably enough. In summary, how has the price for quality? Very well! As such coins, great! And I had a little more I would probably would buy Firestony Winterhawki ;-) Cheers! Read more Collapse

Business Fabia riding a lot, about 60 - 70 thousand a year. Both summer and winter tyres to BARUM. Auto on these tyres behave very unstable. On dry pavement is OK, but in the wet cornering sometimes I pray for his life. Many times already happened to me that fall down from the roundabout and only through low speed, responsiveness and experience does not completely fall out of the way. Braking in wet conditions on these tyres is at times extremely difficult balancing on the edge of a skid and slow down. In the snow ... the snow is like skiing. By inhibiting the motor ok, but when I pressed a little too hard on the brakes - skates. As a man "bury" it's not a shovel or move. For ruts man can stand nicely on its side. I think the worst side of the tyre is just their inability to maintain the cornering and braking. It is a good tyre to slide, rather than a straight drive. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres in the past year. I suggested above all a great price, but also the good opinions of its predecessor. Nothing could be further from the truth. In winter conditions (especially in slush) on these tyres you can not ride. As soon as some snow falls en masse from the lights is almost impossible (I mean second gear because the reloaded with the ones you tend to only dream). On the water a real horror (as someone enjoys swimming are excellent) and additionally awful hum. In addition to great prices really can not say anything about them, complete no good. Earlier in the winter I would go to Debice Frigo S-30, so they Barumy exceeded in every way. Gdześ read online that from Frigo is already only the better tracks, and this is I agree. To sum up anyone they never fly because it's definitely not for winter tyres. Read more Collapse

A moment ago I set up and tested it and proved to be a big linden tree. ABS still pounding me on the leg traction ao forget it. I do not know what could be the reason I think it may be too high torque and fast wheels lose contact with the ground. I took, so a second toy car with the new tyres, but Debica Frigo Directional 165/70R13 and stood where I had a problem with moving the astra and nothing, no wonder, he immediately pulled. When braking, and I have the other ABS-zero problems with it, nothing breaks. Both the pleural empyema, so have a great time. I hope that the tyres do not turn out to be a complete failure, so far I made a piece as you will see when you take even pojeżdżę. Very good tyre in relation to the price. Obviously someone does not like his tyres in the wet whistles let think about others. Very soft tyre is the reason why it cool wet whistle, I do not even helped przeszkadał, a simple example: the "ice", dry faint, proposals to impose the same number of times it has helped me. Well slush discharge any uncontrolled reaction when overtaking and cornering. Often ahead of them, and never in the transition of a rut and back through the snow I did not feel any slip in the same way on the water and dry the same positive feelings. When starting off quiet, nothing happens tyre goes well, someone likes hardcore from a standstill is not the tyre. The tyre is suitable for slow driving on snow and only ktyresm this. As someone want to go 60 km / h to ski in the mountains it will be is a great choice. Otherwise, I would not recommend this tyre. Polaris 2 has a very poor performance on dry roads. Tread cord is very soft, so much of the dynamic driving causes excessive tilting of the car. Very dangerous and unpredictable behavior while positive temp 10 and dry asphalt - soft cord and soft rubber = tragedy. In Poland kopnym snow driving on a trip from the parking lot and ride the mountain serpentine, and a few days in the winter when road builders snowdrift. The other days we go after rozjezdzonym slush and dry asphalt and it is often not slower than in the summer and for that the tyre simply is not suitable! Read more Collapse

This tyre should be sold in the segment "summer tyres to drive through the mud," to anything else, it is not suitable. Previous my winter tyres Kormoran S100 is purchased with the car (as a free extra set) and to be honest that the Cormorants were much better (I wish that this model no longer do). Polarisy 2 does not hold when starting even in dry conditions, braking - just keep dry. Very interesting sound in the ruts filled with water (jet taking off). The grip is probably the wine because the tread rubber compound is close to Kormoranowi and perhaps place of production is also important because I have made in Romania. To be honest I knew that Romanian much more I would have thought (although I was thinking about the tyres of six months). Read more Collapse

On the slippery uncertain behavior of the car - you will feel like the car teetering on the line and just run away somewhere. poor abrasion after 10 thousand for half the tread was gone. Ludzilismy will come in August with the lower temperatures and snow then it will be better. Not true. Now we have an attack of winter. Temperatures at -20 and more. Snow fell. Massacre. It is better to leave the car in the garage. On these tyres can not be going! Similarly, I think it is the summer. The car is tylnonapedowe - with the addition of a little gas escapes back immediately. Taczy car when braking in front of each other ABS'em enabled. Minimum grip. Just a nightmare. Are suitable for high speeds above 130 - 150 without any problem, unfortunately, more than 160 - 170 begin to swim a little, well that I ride with moderate speed and usually does not exceed 140 - 150 in the end we have poor roads. I have 2 and season them and I live so it's ok and I drive a lot more than 25 tkm per year would definitely recommend at this price but it's better to buy Good Year UG7 because I know 2gim car and is extra! For this type of tyrech also drove Daewoo, Skoda Felicia and Fiat Seicento and generally estimate at 4, 4 -. For the money there is nothing to complain about. sufficient traction on wet, snow and slush and ice are chains, a little noisy in the wet (you can hear a slight whistle). These are tyres for cheaper and slower cars and that they work well. If someone has, for example Toyota Avensis, Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, etc, buy Barumy and complaining is just a misunderstanding, as he can on the road and a fast car se let him buy the appropriate winter tyres (Goodyear-y,-y, etc Dunlop .). Certainly Barum s are also much better than the winter as well as the Debica Snowpro Cormorant (complete failure! - This is not a winter tyre!) Read more Collapse

I bought 4 tyres in tyres.com - I got them by courier in the price of tyres! I drove them over 17 thousand. km and I think I made a good buy. It is known that there are better rubber, but at this price it was a trade-off between price and quality. Small disadvantage of these tyres is a light whistle in the wet, but generally keep well and do not think that fast clash! when driving over 150 km / h (on a dry course) no surprises. Sharp braking on dry surfaces abolished surprisingly well and are fit to continue driving! How do winter tyres are obviously soft, but city driving (sometimes you have to overcome a slight curb) in the winter lifted well! As for the money - what more do you need? Generally, I recommend! azyla72 Read more Collapse

If someone suggests that their opinions are strongly advise against buying these tyres. I ride on them for the second season and I have to say that these tyres is a big failure. As long as there is no snow it's ok but just a little bit of snow and we have problems with moving my and most importantly the inhibition - in typical winter conditions (snow on the road) driving at a speed greater than 50 km / h is suicide. Car in the snow is over / under manageable and did not really throw us know when and in which direction. Those who appreciate comfort while traveling on these tyres did not taste ... Loud noise, poor traction on snow and slush (particularly important in driving around the city), 50% of the tread wear on the front axle the course of 5000 km. These tyres do not give a sense of security and comfort. Were purchased under the influence of positive reviews of other users - unless written without a comparative scale. I drove previously Debice Frigo Directional and Pirelli W190 Direzionale - both of these brands far outweigh Barumy, especially Pirelli, where about 50% of tread wear was not until after about 40 thousand. kms. I note that it is mid-February is not like other october (a opna left half of 2003). I tested these tyres this winter and it's utter mediocrity. On wet pavement above 110 I damn whistle. Lateral support when cornering feebly -3. The eternal problem of drifts or pull away from the hill (the tyres do not take snow). Compared with Stomilowskimi Winterami in my opinion the best winter tyres for Polish conditions this is a tragedy. The only thing that can encourage the price and appearance, but behind them lies nothing. They are even worse than Debica Direkcjonal. The car has a tendency to yaw and steering it is very uncertain. I bought these tyres used for one season, so tread wear was minimal. I confirm Reading the feedback on their behavior in the wet, in fact at higher speeds (over 70 km / h) seem peculiar whistle. However, do not lose the correct grip. I personally do not mind, at the end of winter tyres due to the composition of the tread compound and construction are louder than summer tyres. On a dry surface behave very correctly. Comfort them for me is fully satisfactory. I just completed the third season of use, and I think I'll bet they have for next season. The snow behave similarly to Debica (compared to SC wife-DF1). For this price, very decent tyres. Read more Collapse

So I read the reviews and wonder what they are talking over people that they are tyre "sucks". I drove on these tyres 4 seasons (Polaris) often in harsh winter conditions and really do well radziły. They are quite noisy but grip on snow and marshes posniegowym is good, low abrasion, are not readily susceptible to mechanical damage (Polish hole). We know someone is an idiot and winter break always starts with adhesion (pedal to the metal), take turns sideways, goes 120 km / h faster is no tyre did not satisfy, and this too. So I recommend to stay at home (do not kill yourself or anyone else). In summary: a good winter tyre for the price Read more Collapse

This tyre while driving on a quiet road Katowice, at a speed of about 90 km / h. broke into pieces, ranging from the inner (wzmocnionej!!) edge of the rim. As a result of a broken tyre, wheel cover damaged brake pipe and hose. I note that only one tyre was worn on the rim, because with the change of season, I list all of the wheels, so it was not a result of setting up and removing the tyre from the rim. I believe that such a tyre failure due either to poor design or from the use of poor materials or does not maintain the technical conditions of production. This way I find unacceptable damage. A few times thanks to him managed to avoid an accident that on my previous summer tyrech unfortunately failed. Well stick to the road if it is wet pavement, slush, snow or ice - in each case a man feel safe on the road. Okay somehow an affordable price. It is worth to buy. I almost did not clash. The downside is that they are noisy and asphalt at a temperature above 10 ° C are starting to have quite a significant rolling resistance. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I will not play in evaluating the points because this winter is not too high in the snow so not being able to check your tyres. After all, how many times I found myself covered in snow, it was no problem getting around it, as opposed to the other cars. I find it hard to tell whether the other vehicles were to summer tyres / which I doubt / and maybe stripped tread which also is rather doubtful. Overall I am happy with my purchase and tyres, you know, the winter tyres on the asphalt can be heard. If I issue a estimation is of course positive. Read more Collapse

tyre incredibly loud, awful throws in ruts, regardless of weather conditions, very poor in the mountains, you have to wear chains and colleague at Debice Frigo sail easily on dry asphalt is ok, but do not buy winter tyres in August? Overall match already the second time I gave to frame the Baruma, never again! Previously in my new Vectra also fired them because they were holding on corners. I thought of this as a good car for cheap tyres. are very bad mistake, I ordered Debica Frigo Directional, because these are good tyres for the winter! Read more Collapse

tyres cheap but what I did see it, as I have spoken to some people about these wheezing. If you go on-surface wet in the rain or after the rain tyres so funny whistle. It may but need not irritate :). In general, winter tyres so better to ride for a year but not crazy. Barumki I only have two on the front axle and buy now on the back of two consecutive. I wanted to buy Dunlopki Cristall mineiro or mintero :) but I will not as it was up to just two, and only a small annual Mileage :). For someone that does not require will be ok! Read more Collapse

good snow tyres, tested in the mountains, usually give advice, very good on the road for the traditional zniedbanych winter roads. dry surface - a little too free with considerable rolling resistance, wet does not give certainty vehicle prowadezenia ABS say a little crazy. On the ice pretty well as far as can be assessed keeping in such conditions. tyre looks quite commonly, one can sense a lot of rolling resistance, noise level I would say medium, but I think the abrasion above average (2 seasons about 40 thousand and basket). One czwatrą distance (during two winters) drove in a week with a full load (four adults, plus luggage box full roof) while driving at very different ways from the holes in the super-flat highway (route Warsaw - Istanbul - Warsaw) as well as different speeds max 165km / h (beautiful highway in Turkey once again downhill uphill). These factors have an impact on attrition probably because the tyres exhibited a bad score, but do not suggest it to the end, because on another ride and another load probably will not be as fast clashed. great winter tyre. The dry keeps very well for a winter tyre, the wet slightly uśliznąć can, particularly at higher temperatures, but it is natural. There is no tragedy. The snow keeps sensational! On the ice as much as possible without thorns. This year's winter was not too great in the snow so the tyre has not been tested in extreme conditions, but the few times I went through a lot of forest paths covered with a layer of fresh snow and no problems. Unless I find something interesting at a good price willingly buy again. Read more Collapse

Highly recommended for dry to 120 km / h OK, the 120 km / h loud exemplary grip on a very wet up to 90 - 100 km / h very good adhesion of 100 km / h, you can enter into a ditch on a bend, in the snow, mud pośniegowym and generally in very good winter to 70 km / h, the only minus is riding a ostrucj corners over 30 km / h the car flying in the corner and very easy to make a case. Overall very good but the corners need uwarzać. I would add that the tyres pumped gas pneumix and during operation do not have to check with them. Read more Collapse

Hm actually whistle tyres on slippery roads but what do I care if the stick has just wet after the rain very well. I think that for the price it naprwdę tyre from the top shelf. For zkretach keeps bridgestony better than summer. You go to them and you get the feeling that well with autkiem. Any resonance, a little bit longer but generally collect my car spit snow around here have good przyzcepność. Naprwadę tyre looks nice and dignified. Phew well that I did not buy cormorants similar price and the difference huge. Read more Collapse
