Bridgestone Potenza S001

The tyres in Seat Leon are driven by 200 horsepower in size 225/45/17. I like to squeeze in corners and play with the car and when driving like this, the tyres do a great job - very stiff sides give very precise handling and feeling of the car. Super dry grip, a bit worse on wet, but also positive. On the other hand, tyres are tiring on a daily basis in normal driving because of the stiffness and massiveness of the structure, which translates into very poor damping of unevenness and noise. In a car that is inherently stiff and additionally lowered, such tyres are a nail in the coffin in terms of driving comfort. Conti in the same size and on the same 7.5 "rim look like 205 - for some an advantage, for others, including me a disadvantage. To be honest I have acquired those tyres by accident, before I had Good Year Eagle F1. Both tyres stick on dry asphalt after warming but on the wet roads Bridgestone Potenza S001 has many more advantages. The tyre has a very strong, rigid sides. In turning the tyres hold very well and they’re easy to balance. In cold weather they act any normal tyre but in higher temperature they are way better. As for comfort, it is higher than GY F1. As for noise I do not pay attention to that during driving. The tyres are excellent whether the asphalt is dry or wet. When it comes to abrasion, I ride aggressively especially while taking corners, sometimes a drift happens but the tyre appears to be resistant to it. I bought the tyre only a month ago. It was recommended to me by friend who has them. He praised it for strength and running and he was not mistaken. I do not regret that I listened to him. I drove the 3 thousand km, but I can say that it’s a very good tyre, holding to the road, taking the corners without any slip on them, car goes like clockwork. The tyre wear so far is because only 3 thousand. I drove quite aggressively. I really recommend Bridgestone Potenza S001. Someone who likes to ride definitely tougher will not be disappointed. I have these tyres in size 225/45 R17, on the Golf GTI 200 KM. I have mixed feelings about them. In dry conditions, driving is generally OK, except for a sharp start when the tyres break and the ESP goes crazy because the car is dancing, and sharp acceleration - ESP has to work hard too. Wet both these phenomena occur 100 times normal, quiet ride is stable, but I no longer have confidence in those tyres. I am driving a BMW E90. This type of tyre gives me exactly what I expected from it. Recently, I drove a lot on the highways and felt more confident on these tyres than on the standard offered by BMW. In high-speed curves, traction control is triggered much later than before or at higher speed when cornering. Despite the fact that I am driving on the RFT, the noise when passing through the tracks or the smoothness on local roads is not higher than in the case of traditional tyres, which surprised me very positively. I bought these tyres because they are Bridgestones and I knew they would be PREMIUM. I'm totally satisfied, they are perfectly quiet at a speed of 100 mph you can still normally chat in the car. When it comes to fuel consumption they seem to have reduced it by 0.5l per 100 miles. Driving on wet is just fabulous, the car nicely sticks to the road. Very cool tires. I compare them to the Pirelli P Zero Nero in the same size. Generally they are very similar - that is very good. Bridgestone Potenza S001 are more predictable and give more warning signs. At the same rim Bridgestone tyres are clearly wider. Tyres allow a lot, both on dry and wet roads, except that they are always predictable. The tyre was on the car I bought. I decided to exchange them for other ones, but after 2 weeks of driving, I returned to the Bridgestons. When these are completely worn out, I will buy new ones. In these, I have not much tread left, but they still manage. I can only imagine how the new ones behave. Tyres used in everyday driving middle-class premium car with a powerful diesel engine. Tyres act exactly as a premium class tyres should. Bridgestone Potenza S001 are fairly quiet, provide good contact and adhesion to the substrate. They have a wide margin of safety. Excellent maneuverability, great on dry, wet. A slight humming noise at 50km / h above. Quiet below this speed. Perfect grip. Used mainly outside the city, I covered 10,000 km on it this season, trips to the mountains, a holiday trip to Croatia, tight turns on the local islands, thanks to which I was able to tyre them a bit. I highly recommend Bridgestone Potenza S001. The tyre does not lose too much grip during fast traction. The parameters are similar to the ones used in Potenza R50E. These were replaced like for like and recommended by BMW so I have no reference for comparison, they do the job they are meant to. The run-flat combined with the M Sport setup do give quite a hard ride, potholes!! but this was expected. All in all, so far, I have had no problems with these tyres. Read more Collapse

Audi web site is less expensive than the Audi garage. They took two months to have them available for me. Oponeo had them delivered to me in only a few days and was cheaper. Second tyre after michelin pilot and I have to say that I had to return to michelin. They were worn out after 21000 km they didn't pass the inspection. Michelin made almost 45000- which is the double.... Nothing to say about the grip it feels like being on two rails! Read more Collapse

These tyres perform very well in s55 AMG. Grip is superb on dry and wet. Slightly noisy but not too much. The tyres wear quite quickly but this is a combination of rwd and powerful engine. Driven 8k miles and 4 mm tread left. Read more Collapse
