Opinion from outside the UK
Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D are very good on the dry road. They hold perfectly in the bends. They do not trail. On the wet also great, they run firmly and do not have the proclivity to skidding. On the snow traction is very good, on the ice and mud also superb. The only drawback is the fact that they are loud by the motorway speed. As I drove the previous season on UG7, I have the direct comparison and I state that 3D are slightly weaker from the UG7. UG7 hold better in the bend and are quieter. However, 3D are wearing away slower and are harder. Summing up I affirm that the Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D are magnificent tyres, a class better from the cheaper competition, able to compete with UG7 without complexes. A successful purchase. I strongly recommend. Read more Collapse

Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D hold the road perfectly both on the wet and the dry surface. When heavy snowfall struck me on the route (I'm speaking here about the solid snow on the road and not about 1 cm) I was one of the few who drove and did not have any problems in the bends and driving uphill and downhill. Only the cars with the driving gear of 4x4 managed better. This was not the distance of 100 km/h but slightly more lenghty. The tyres have only one drawback - on the distance of 25000 miles they wear in about 60-70% and lose much of their properties. They start to skid greatly on th wet surface and then they are not recommendable for the routes. One has to change them for the new ones. However, I highly recommend them. Read more Collapse

When buying Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D I considered also Goodyear Ultra Grip 7 or 7+ (by the way, it is interesting how the tyres would work in such a car). All in all, I am satisfied. They behave well, they are not loud, I did not have any problems with driveway to the block of flats and many smaller and lighter cars in winter have some problems. Nonetheless, I have slight obligations to the driving on the damaged snow. Perhaps it is the result of that fact that Picasso does not belong to light cars and is a bit more higher from the ordinary passenger cars. However, concerning the ratio of the price to the quality Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D are really recommendable and worth buying. Read more Collapse

As befits for the winter tyres Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D provide the stability on the snow even by more than 100km/h. They perfectly retain both the snow and the slush. On the ice the traction slightly worse (as all tyres, unless studded) max. 60-70 km/h. On the dry and the wet they hold perfectly. The noise level I rated "4" as when there is no snow they become audible. For this reason, I rated the comfort also "4", although I do not have any reservations. When it comes to attrition, after such distance, with no economizing, 1/3 of the tread wore out.I have them since November 2007, so I drove on them a bit - wheels worth recommending. My range: 6- perfect, 5- very good, 4- good. Read more Collapse

I recommend Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D on the wet and the slush-covered road. Safe driving in the bends (even by greater speeds up to 160 km/h). On the dry they provide us with high level of security - great traction. As for the winter tyre, I rate positively the driving comfort and noise level . Attrition - after 1000 km - it looks almost like a new one. Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D looks normal, the production quality good, only the expert knows what's the tyre, everything else is a matter of taste. Rolling resistance did not influence significantly the fuel consumption (in comparison with summer tyres). The above mentioned review concerns the tyres manufactured in Germany. Read more Collapse

Very well balanced tyre. Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D will not disappoint you during the driving. Also quiet and precise as for the winter tyre. Certainly, in comparison with the good summer tyre it floats a bit more but compared with the summer ones from the middle class it performs very well. On the wet slight problems with the traction on moving out. On the snow it gives the driving confidence. On the ice it gives the impression of minimal control over the car which one can have without spikes. In general, splendid tyre especially for the routes. There is no huge gap in driving the car compared with summer tyres. In the city you will not feel this predominance. Read more Collapse

At the beginning, on driving up the snowy hill I cursed these tyres but on the ice no other tyre would behave better. Then, on passing the car lying in the ditch which fell out on the frosted road I started to praiseDunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D as they amazingly held the asphalt, alike when I drove through the 30-40 cm, powdery snow. Also by +8 degrees in rain they brake splendid in the critical moment. Quite silent. Attrition after one season normal. I recommend Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D - not only to the fans of extreme driving (taking into consideration the name of the tyre) but also safe driving in various conditions. Read more Collapse

I installed Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D in the early fall - by the temperature of several C degrees; they were slightly uncomfortable in the bends (the car ran a bit). Nevertheless, when the temperatures fell, everything started to be alright. In my opinion, the tyres are very quiet, they perform well by braking both on the dry and the wet asphalt. By heavy snowfalls I did not feel confident (although I did not skid) which did not prevent me from driving faster than others. Emergency braking on the snowy roads came out really good. I did not drive on the ice, too small mileage does not allow me to assess the attrition. Read more Collapse

When it comes to braking on the snow and slush Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D are good, moving out in the same conditions slightly worse than brakig, however, I stress that this is a heavy car. They manage well with sharp manoeuvres but it is not hard to lose traction - it is winter in the end. Previously, I had Dunlop mx2 and I was satisfied and with these I am even more. Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D do not cause the feeling of insecurity, they surprise positively in unexpected situations. By braking ABS activates rarely unless one presses dynamically and harder but for the mass of 1800 kg I am pleased. Read more Collapse

Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D are my favourite winter tyres :-). They are rather hard and, as for me, they work better when pumped a bit more. They work like chisels, super steady and firm, the turbine or overboosting do not harm the tyres, long-distance, although the fall of pulling strength together with the increase of mileage is noticeable, it is not life-paralyzing. They dig out at most a few seconds more, they were tested in mountains not once ;-). Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D are resistant to high motorway speeds, moderate style does not equal slow one ;-) Read more Collapse

Generally Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D was my preference, although the next models are worse from the previous ones or the winters are bad. M2 is perfect for snow, M3 great for slush, 3D I do not know for what. It runs but without pleasure. One cannot press more. It is worst on the wet surface as the car runs sideways faster than by M2 and M3 - at least they have high critical point so one can react sooner. If it is as good as other users rate the tyre, other tyres prove bad but I am going to look around the market before buying the next Dunlop. Read more Collapse

After checking Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D on snow and ice I am positively surprised having the car with 260 HP with back driving gear - it runs perfectly. One has to load the back only- with the bag in the boot for example and nothing unexpected happens. Great traction, ideal braking on the snow, no flickering of traction index etc. Speed on the snow - 120 km/h and the car is steady and predictable. Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 3D with this size and index H is splendid. I recommend with clear conscience. Read more Collapse

Very good tyres. The appearance, performance and handling characteristics without complaint (made in Germany). Very well in temperatures from zero to plus several degrees in dry conditions and these terms and conditions or to us in Poland during the "winter" and it happens more often. Then behave almost like summer tyres in this size, you can develop high speeds up to 160 km the highway, traction, stability and excellent traction. In winter conditions, temperature, negative or very well, I ride on these tyres for the second season. The fresh snow and the large amount of snow and compacted snow tyres are doing at 6 bite was fantastic and probably lead car. For a slush fine but a speed that is 80 - 90 km. With fast overtaking the slush on the highway at 120 km noticeable slippage predictable so I do not recommend, it may also question the car weight. Tyre worth buying, it gives confidence in virtually any environment where winter behave moderation in the drop-down speeds and will not charge for ice hockey skates only! I recommend! I bought tyres generally the case - so far, used Goodyear planned to replace UG7 UG6 but very long waiting times forced to change, as it turned out, probably a plus. Since mid-December, I drove on them more than 20,000 km, under different conditions, and I have no complaints. Excel in the snow very well, even in slush. I was afraid that after UG6 will be worse in the wet, especially in ruts - it turned out that it is just as well. Never ride on the ice, because I do not have spikes (I put 5 to keep average). P406 is not especially known for sharp steering, but confident driving on these tyres is excellent (at least in my copy). Decent consumption - should withstand about 50,000 km. Last, but not least - the noise level is extremely low - a big plus, especially for large daily passes. I would definitely recommend! Read more Collapse

As for driving in winter conditions that do not know any better - roads covered with sharp - even at the national plows 81 do not see a section of j-white katoomba at 5 am (60 miles) beat in 40 to 45 minutes, someone who is of the j and white that knows how to take care of us in the way and now even the National Commission odśnieżyli not - so I have no questions. At the National calmly after the icy and snowy road in accordance with the rules ;), a couple of times at 80 km / h on a hard icy road fluttered me without problem auto 100% predictable, leg slightly with gas, light correction and jade on - and this is missing a number of winter tyres. I do not want to do advertising but really this is the tyre that I can be sure, and I can go safely and stress free. Read more Collapse

Tyre quite good, very confident when driving on dry roads. Wet does a great job in a straight line even at high (150-170 km / h) speeds, ensures reliability, stability, and control of the car. Problems arise when even a slightly more aggressive entry into corners in the wet, the tyre can not keep track, auto clear 'go ahead' and give you a feel a slight loss of grip. In addition, you must be careful when braking on both wet and the frosted, iced surfaces (especially rough) - tyres easily lose grip, you need to gently handle the brake pedal. In general, the tyre is rather good, but whether it deserves - as its name suggests - the name of 'sport' - it can be argued. There are definitely better tyres, such as Goodyear Ultragrip 7th Read more Collapse

Tyres really good and worth recommending. Did not disappoint me in snowy mountain roads. Even drove in the Alps where others already have to wear chains. Unfortunately ... the ice is not strong .. I think that the only tyres with spikes ... but not in our country. Cope perfectly well with mud and wet ground pośniegowym. A little weaker in the dry ... but ... after all they are winter tyres ... and probably next winter will also be "normal". As for abrasion ... it gave out 5 .. but I know that it is a low mileage (I have them in the first season). We'll see what will be with them has the greater number of kilometers. I do not go agrsywnie ... but it can not ... I like to "cut". And so far I'm very happy these tyres. Read more Collapse

Very good tyres especially surprised me in the wet with heavy braking have amazing grip, really need to try and teeth joined ABS in contrast to the summer Bridgestonow where the wet summer, the strong inhibition does not turn on ABS. The second issue is driving on snow very good grip, recently I had a good test at a very steep leaving gore where it really doubted in the middle of the underneath but I leave the tyres daly great with her advice. The third issue is the level of noise, the tyres are much quieter than the summer Bridgestonow. Summarizing She thought of buying Goodyear Ultra Grip 7 + but at the time of purchase were not available so I bought Dunlopy and I do not regret :) just the opposite and most recommend these tyres :) Read more Collapse

Positively surprised by low tyre noise and a good comfort, good behavior on dry, wet it pretty good, it's balanced tyre with good performance can no great revelation but quite decent although a full assessment of the need to wait a little mileage fully confirm my comment. The only thing left at the start of the drive to the back of the car and the tyre has a bad grip in the wet at low enough pressure - 2.3 bar. After dopąpowaniu at 2.6 bar and 2.2 bar behind the front tyre behaves much better in the wet. Anyway, as it turned out the manufacturer's recommended pressure as the dopompowaniu :) PS I did not think that the pressure in the tyre has such a tremendous impact on vehicle traction 0.4 bar is like not much but ... I drove so far to the other ... :) cheaper tyres. After the Dunlopów one thing noticeable is definitely a multiple improving grip in the corners. Car runs amazing and it is not thanks to ESP or drive because the previous tyre grip in the corners was .... hmmm ... such as at the most. The traction on snow and snow-covered hills to overcome not write, because the drive itself is of great importance. As for braking, which in 4x4 cars, after all, subject to the same laws as in the single-drive is also noticeable progress. A small note in the margin. Tyres made in Germany need a lot less than the balance weights made in Slovenia. :) Read more Collapse

I was disappointed in these tyres. Advertised in the press and I think all the hype. On dry and wet pavement is ok, I would recommend. snow? hm, one might say, middle, talking about aggressive driving style. But that's what happens on the ice - a massacre. Although my car is rear drive every little excuse these tyres but no that you can not twist it until you can. Just after the ice can only go straight. I had some emergency situation, after which I had a heart in his throat. Rating: Bmw you have to buy the other tyres. Shop recommended, professional and fast service. Read more Collapse

During the last month I had the opportunity to check them well, being in the Bieszczady Mountains, the Beskids, and back yesterday from Karpacz on the A4 section Wroclaw - Katowice strewn across the road, and especially at Mount St. Anna where he had the opportunity to see very well, terrible road conditions, the cap on the length of over 3 km, trucks blocked the whole way.
