I was using Firestone Winterhawk 3 tyres last winter, but it so happened that there were almost no snow in the area. During last 3 seasons I was using refurbished tyres which weren't much of a compare to these so no disappointment there. The wet grip on curves is peculiar. You can loose the grip sometimes and then immediately regain it if you do. Another good thing is that you won't really feel any road bumps and it's quiet.Unfortunately it wears quite quick but to be honest i'm not a slow driver so that was to be expected especially with my powerful engine. Durability of the tyre i bought my wife was better (those were Nokians) although she drives less. My tyre size is 185/60/15, driving the Fiat Bravo 147bhp. Read more Collapse

I have a Firestone Winterhawk 3 by the size of 195/65 R15. Tyre's very good due to its handling characteristics in all conditions with respect to its prices. The only downside is relatively soft sidewall which when rapidly steered wheel movement causes slight sliding of the rear of the car. If someone drives aggressively it might be a problem. I checked the other tyre hardness sides of the middle and upper shelf and a large part has sides as soft as Firestone Winterhawk 3 - maybe it's just that such technology domonant nowadays. I would recommend for riding in a normal and peaceful manner. Not recommended for aggressive riding. Read more Collapse
Winterhawk ;)
I live in the mountains near. Disappointing in conditions of rain mixed with wet, in particular the phenomena of aquaplaning and skidding under conditions in which I had not with other tires. On the snow sufficiently good. Overall I would say that in the same price range there are much better alternatives, in particular the Fulda tyres with which I had no doubt the best results. Only later did i found out that there might've been some trouble with wheel alignment so the Firestone Winterhawk 3 may be quite better in the end. Read more Collapse

Hi, I can definitely recommend Firestone Winterhawk 3 for commuters. Driving to work every day 15 miles one way, they never failed me and were days with plenty of snow and slush. On the wet behavior was superb I'm not a speeder so not moving the way to make tyres squeal on dry. These tyres were of good price and seemed of good quality besides that brand is US one owned by Bridgestone. I certainly can recommend these tires Read more Collapse

Firestone Winterhawk 3 are my first new tires. I expected more from them, I have not tested them in the snow as last year's winter was mild. On dry pavement tire behave very well, while in the wet they lose traction a bit, resulting in a quick turn on the ABS and ESP. The reason for this can also be the vehicle mass (1700kg). As for comfort I do not have any claims, we know what the new tire is new. Read more Collapse

Firestone Winterhawk 3 have rather soft sides, so there's a bit of disadvantage for example when cornering at higher speeds. If someone runs quietly and takes care of the tires avoiding curbs is certainly these tires are made for him, they have fatastic grip, but as for me, i'd need something more sportylike. Tire loses traction on wet, the traction and cornering. ESP ABS often intervenes. 2014/15 snow almost gone so do not judge. New tire 1 season, I'm disappointed. The only advantage is that it is really quiet, rest no revelations. Read more Collapse

Tyres so-so, and the snow rather very poor. Old Dunlopy in another car in the deeper snow give advice, and they rather lime ... At a speed of 50-60 km / h, so the most frequently used gently moaning. Otherwise silent interval Read more Collapse
