Information on the tyre:

Durability, low fuel consumption and excellent grip are the main advantages of the Goodyear DURAGRIP summer tyres. The model was designed for city and family cars , so it is well suited to various urban conditions. The tyre will delight drivers who pay special attention to fuel consumption - thanks to these tyres, it will significantly decrease. This is due to low rolling resistance, which is achieved by the even distribution of pressure on the tyre surface and lightweight rubber compound applied to the production.

With an asymmetrical tread tyre, it quickly channels the water away and resists aquaplaning. The innovative arrangement of the grooves gives an excellent grip on dry and wet surfaces and significantly decreases the risk of skidding. Goodyear’s 3D-BIS Technology® increases rubber-to-road contact for improved handling. The asymmetric tread pattern features a stiff shoulder area to help you corner with confidence . Goodyear Duragrip also means quiet and comfortable driving. The unique design of the model makes the tyre absorb the sounds emitted whilst moving, so that even ordinary driving is a pleasure. In maintaining an adequate comfort system, it also helps the tread and its blocks which are optimised for volume reduction of the sound produced. Drivers will be satisfied with the tyres who appreciate not only great technical parameters and reliability, but also security on any type of surface and grip during any weather condition.

Goodyear is an American company, which is the third largest tyres and semi-finished rubber production company in the world. In addition to its own brand, Goodyear also manages Fulda, Sava, Dunlop and Debica. Goodyear has 85 plants in 28 countries. Employment in the company currently reaches around 90,000 people. The company supplies the market premium tyres characterised by the highest quality and maximum performance .

    Opinion from outside the UK

After ca. 30 thousand miles done on Goodyear Duragrip tyres I have 4 mm of tread left. I noticed they are quite soft, therefore they may be a bit safer as they grip the road better, but due to their wear I presume I won’t do much on them in my next season. I have already changed my rear tyres for winter ones – after doing ca. 80 thousand miles this year and all I had left was ca. 2 mm of tread, so I have left them at the service for disposal. My personal conclusion is that it all depends on which axle you fit these tyres, as my car is a front-wheel-drive. Their comfort is very good – they absorb the bumps and holes in the road well. Low rolling resistance – their noise is almost inaudible, I could barely hear them at speeds both ca. 50 MPH and 85 MPH. Sharp corners are not a problem for them – the car easily takes the corners without getting off-track. The tyre performs very well on both dry and wet. Also, its water dispersion is great. During a heavy rain, all I could see behind my car was a large cloud of water escaping from under the car. To sum up, I find Goodyear Duragrip a very decent tyre and I can recommend it to all drivers. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I ordered Goodyear Duragrip tyres for my sister. The shop did their job marvelously, as we got these tyres in 48 hours. The tyres were at a very good price, I think they were the cheapest on the internet, and I can definitely say that the fitting services are a joke – they want even 30 pounds more per tyre! The quality of the tyres is great. They look nice, and their performance on both wet and dry is sensational, despite the fact we didn’t do much of a distance on those. Up to now, I used many different tyre models in my cars, such as Michelin MXT, Barum Brillantis, Fulda etc. In my opinion, Michelin were the best when it came to balancing and lack of vibrations, Barums squealed on wet like crazy – and Goodyear Duragrip surpasses them both. On wet (heavy rain, deep puddles) they behave like on dry. I definitely recommend Goodyear Duragrip as a decent tyre for a good price. One thing for sure – I will not buy Continentals due to their problems with balancing and the country of production… Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I replaced my tyres with Goodyear Duragrip after 5 years. Previously, I had Michelin Energy. During fitting, one of the tyres appeared to be so deformed that it could barely be balanced only with large weights. The result was that the car was swerving all over the road. I have exchanged the faulty tyre for a new one, and the faulty one was sent back for a warranty claim. I wonder what will the response from thre manufacturer be. Now everything is just fine. Goodyear Duragrip are much quieter than the previous ones, their driving comfort is very good (they don't "bump" on bumps), handling is sensational. I hope their durability will be good, as I wore my previous Michelins down to the tread wear indicator, but they kept their shape despite visible mechanical damages they were exposed to numerous times. As for now, I can rate Goodyear Duragrip as very good tyres. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I can recommend Goodyear Duragrip tyres especially to those drivers who don’t like to drive aggressively and prefer a moderate driving style. Braking is flawless in all conditions, but their behaviour in the corners varies – on dry they are fine, but after rain every sharp cornering resulted in a slide. However, it only concerns the corners – driving on straights, braking, water dispersion, starting etc. are flawless. The additional advantage of Goodyear Duragrip is its durability (they were sold along with the car, otherwise I would’ve left them for my new vehicle). They are also quiet and don’t cause the car to consume more fuel. Generally, I can recommend Goodyear Duragrip, but taking into account my driving style (quite aggressive cornering) I decided to get some other, more “sports” tyres for my new car. I did about 3500 miles and as for now, the tread wear is minimal. As for a tyre produced in the EU, Goodyear Duragrip looks very average. Numerous shortcomings (such as pieces of cast) are visible. However, the tyre behaves very well. Their driving comfort is good. In the corners I had an impression of minimal oversteer. Of course, I’m sure it has something to do with my car, but my previous Pirelli tyres didn’t have such an effect. I checked my wheel alignment and balancing, and they are just fine. Additionally, I can say I got surprised by winter conditions before I changed my wheels to winter ones, and I can say that driving like that was a tragedy. It’s obvious, that Goodyear Duragrip are summer tyres, but the Pirelli I mentioned earler were much better on snow. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Goodyear Duragrip is a very good tyre on wet surface, it's very hard to lose grip during sudden braking on wet. Unfortunately, they are horrible in the corners, the rear of the car sverves off-course easily, just like I was using new winter tyres in the summer. The car is unstable and handles very badly in the ruts. Emergency braking in the corner is out of the question, as the car's rear end will lose grip (I experienced it once). Goodyear Duragrip are dangerous, they don't even allow to go more aggressively on winding roads, they are only for very calm driving. I had Michelin Energy E3A before, these tyres gave me a feeling of safety and were generally very good, both on wet and in the corners. Read more Collapse

I think Goodyear Duragrip tyres behave very well, especially well in the rain. I bought them basing on reviews here at Oponeo and I must admit that was a great choice. After one season done on these tyres I think I can say soomething more about them. I think their greatest advantage is good water dispaersion - they do a really good job with that. They also give great grip on dry surface. Traction in the corners is good. Wear - after 12 thousand miles done I didn't notice much wear. I find Goodyear Duragrip worth recommending. It's hard to find a better tyre in this price. I used Michelin Energy before, but Goodyear Duragrip also has good results. I don't see much difference. Read more Collapse

Goodyear Duragrip were the first tyre in my first own car. I used to drive my dad's car before with Debica tyres fitted, and they are no match for my tyres. They perfectly grip the road, no slides, dreat braking distance even in emergency situations without ABS (stops from 20 MPH within 5 metres - tested). Great water dispersion, I don't feel any puddles and don't notice any traction changes on wet surface in flooded ruts. I also tested them in winter on my rear axle and even on snowy surface they grip well. They are a bit worse on ice, but still better than all season Debicas. There's nothing more I would expect from a tyre like Goodyear Duragrip. I definitely recommend. Read more Collapse

I have bought Goodyear Duragrip tyres form Oponeo and I am very happy with their fast shipping and the quality of the service. The tyres did ca. 10 thousand miles this year and I don't see any signs of rapid wear or any other faults like feathering. They behave very well on dry surface, I also didn't notice them to lose grip on water or slide when starting on wet surface. On dry they are very quiet. The tyres got fitted to a VW Sharan 1.9 TDI (110 BHP). I can recomment Goodyear Duragrip with a clear conscience as I am sure it's one of better products in this price range. I recommended Goodyear Duragrip to my friends and from what I know, they are also happy with them. Read more Collapse

I bought my Goodyear Duragrip tyres in the summer and I can say that I didn't have such a badly manufactured tyre in years. The tyres vibrate (just after fitting and leaving the service) and it's not the fault of the wheels, but of the tyres - I visited a few fitting stations and they all said they have seen such a thing before. They may look good, but large vibrations on the wheels you feel are a complete failure. Previously I had Continental tyres, and I didn't have such problems, I only changed them because I had to. I don't recommend getting Goodyear Duragrip tyres because of their poor manufacturing quality. Instead of a normal wheel, you get an oval... Read more Collapse

Little improvement in the quality of this release, but it also should not be a revelation. In the second car I have GoodYear Ventura and those tyres really outweigh DuraGrip and not to mention that I zząbkowało HydraGrip from the outside as the horse had become a place of pleasure was becoming a chore. Compared to my old GT2 GoodYear'ami the sky and the earth :-) On old tyres I rode 7 years (about 130 thousand km). I changed it from wzglęgu of their age, because the tread was still 4 mm, and the fact that slipping on the wet asphalt. The tyre behaves very well on the road, but seems a little too soft. One rainy day, coming back from work I decided to check the tyre on a large parking lot-so I will add that the rain that was falling at a speed of 100km / h at the fastest speed wipers barely be seen. Well, on a wet, sunken asphalt tyre behave exceptionally well, thrown into a skid car just grabs traction and allows you to control. The tires are noisy (especially in corners), and very quickly wear out the edges. Tyres behave well in the rain - short braking distances and do not slide in August (previously I had cormorants which rode in the rain like a skating). Also behave well in dry conditions, well stick to the road when cornering and are fairly quiet. I have no power steering at Opel and after the founding of the tyre performance steering does not require as much power as the kormoranach. For the price I would recommend Goodyear Duragrip. Surprisingly well in the wet, the dry, not really. Moderate noise (UG7 are quieter). On the plus side is that the tyre is quite soft and well-chosen inequality. On the downside, and is quite big, the quality (one has a minimum wade, but is eligible for warranty replacement) and traction, which is so-so, not to say unsung. Ot middling mid-range tyre. Tyre very good, quiet and comfortable. Well kept in dry conditions and well discharges water on rainy days. Aquaplaning is only about 10 km / h later than my previous tyres. Ideal for a quiet ride in the car małolitrażowym. In crisis situations firmly, "bites the asphalt," a little worse acts on the arc - lateral support. Tyres for this class ideal. Their grip rewalacyjna often saved me from the bell. Keep the roads safe. The only drawback is the noise when entering a sharp turn at high speed (at first I thought that the tyre rubbing wheel arch). This is not a one-time ustereczka but rather a specific tyre. Grips friend also has the same symptoms and about their loud behavior on sharp corners. Read more Collapse

tyres faint and comfortable. At higher speeds, the noise nicely (previous howling), softly suppress inequality and not break. Running perfect, both in the dry (even tight corners doing no impression on them) and the wet (well inhibit rarely break grip when starting). Due to the price it was a great alternative to a mid-range tyres Kleber and Dayton. Read more Collapse

tyres for the price excellent, quiet and comfortable. Well hold on a dry surface and well water discharge. Ideal for a quiet ride in the mid-range car. Tyre wears out very quickly, in addition, very uneven, which pulls the vehicle to the left. The exchange did not help - now pulls to the right.
