    Opinion from outside the UK

After ca. 30 thousand miles done on Goodyear Duragrip tyres I have 4 mm of tread left. I noticed they are quite soft, therefore they may be a bit safer as they grip the road better, but due to their wear I presume I won’t do much on them in my next season. I have already changed my rear tyres for winter ones – after doing ca. 80 thousand miles this year and all I had left was ca. 2 mm of tread, so I have left them at the service for disposal. My personal conclusion is that it all depends on which axle you fit these tyres, as my car is a front-wheel-drive. Their comfort is very good – they absorb the bumps and holes in the road well. Low rolling resistance – their noise is almost inaudible, I could barely hear them at speeds both ca. 50 MPH and 85 MPH. Sharp corners are not a problem for them – the car easily takes the corners without getting off-track. The tyre performs very well on both dry and wet. Also, its water dispersion is great. During a heavy rain, all I could see behind my car was a large cloud of water escaping from under the car. To sum up, I find Goodyear Duragrip a very decent tyre and I can recommend it to all drivers. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I ordered Goodyear Duragrip tyres for my sister. The shop did their job marvelously, as we got these tyres in 48 hours. The tyres were at a very good price, I think they were the cheapest on the internet, and I can definitely say that the fitting services are a joke – they want even 30 pounds more per tyre! The quality of the tyres is great. They look nice, and their performance on both wet and dry is sensational, despite the fact we didn’t do much of a distance on those. Up to now, I used many different tyre models in my cars, such as Michelin MXT, Barum Brillantis, Fulda etc. In my opinion, Michelin were the best when it came to balancing and lack of vibrations, Barums squealed on wet like crazy – and Goodyear Duragrip surpasses them both. On wet (heavy rain, deep puddles) they behave like on dry. I definitely recommend Goodyear Duragrip as a decent tyre for a good price. One thing for sure – I will not buy Continentals due to their problems with balancing and the country of production… Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I replaced my tyres with Goodyear Duragrip after 5 years. Previously, I had Michelin Energy. During fitting, one of the tyres appeared to be so deformed that it could barely be balanced only with large weights. The result was that the car was swerving all over the road. I have exchanged the faulty tyre for a new one, and the faulty one was sent back for a warranty claim. I wonder what will the response from thre manufacturer be. Now everything is just fine. Goodyear Duragrip are much quieter than the previous ones, their driving comfort is very good (they don't "bump" on bumps), handling is sensational. I hope their durability will be good, as I wore my previous Michelins down to the tread wear indicator, but they kept their shape despite visible mechanical damages they were exposed to numerous times. As for now, I can rate Goodyear Duragrip as very good tyres. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I can recommend Goodyear Duragrip tyres especially to those drivers who don’t like to drive aggressively and prefer a moderate driving style. Braking is flawless in all conditions, but their behaviour in the corners varies – on dry they are fine, but after rain every sharp cornering resulted in a slide. However, it only concerns the corners – driving on straights, braking, water dispersion, starting etc. are flawless. The additional advantage of Goodyear Duragrip is its durability (they were sold along with the car, otherwise I would’ve left them for my new vehicle). They are also quiet and don’t cause the car to consume more fuel. Generally, I can recommend Goodyear Duragrip, but taking into account my driving style (quite aggressive cornering) I decided to get some other, more “sports” tyres for my new car. Technology description: Goodyear Duragrip utilizes 3D-BIS Technology®. Developed entirely by Goodyear, this innovation allows the tyres to maximize contact with the ground, resulting in significant improvement in driving . In addition, the specially designed tread allows for very fast and efficient drainage of water from under the wheels, reducing the risk of aquaplaning. The asymmetric structure of the tread and stiff shoulder allows flatter cornering . The technology also allows significant reduction in fuel consumption due to a low rolling resistance and an equal distribution of pressure.

About Manufacturer: The founder of the Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Company was Frank Seiberling, who first bought the plant in 1898, with money he borrowed from his brother in law. The company owes its name to the discoverer of vulcanization - Charles Goodyear. Also, at that time, the famous trademark of the brand - winged foot – the logo was created. The logo combines modernity and innovation with its tradition.  Today, Goodyear is the largest typre company in the world . The company operates on six continents. Their tyres are also produced under brands such as Dunlop, Kelly, Fulda, Lee, Sava and Debica.
