A premium winter tyre. It was produced for drivers who look for the best performance in tough winter conditions. Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 is the successor of Goodyear Ultra Grip 7 +, the award tests winner by an independent German organization ADAC, and the magazine "Autobild", "Auto Motor und Sport" and British "Auto Express". Engineers were able to enhance performance of the tyre, compared to the previous model Ultra Grip 7 +: - reduced stopping distances on wet roads by 4% (on the asphalt with a low coefficient of friction), - increased resistance to aquaplaning on the winding, wet roads, by 16%, - shortened braking distance on snow by 3% and increased traction on snowy roads by 5%.
Features of Goodyear Ultra Grip 8: efficient braking. An aggressive, directional tread pattern with BIS (Block Interlocked System) 3D system on the entire surface ensures short braking distances. Very good adhesion on various types of surfaces and low wear Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 tyre is made of the rubber mixture with silica and special polymers, which ensures good traction on variable surface types (snow, ice, mud, dry road) and even, slow wear of the tread. Excellent performance at low temperatures. In the production of rubber for Goodyear Ultra Grip 8, the manufacturer used elastic rubber, which retains its properties under extreme conditions.
Fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Advanced construction of Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 offers low rolling resistance. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company is one of the world's largest tyre manufacturers. It was founded in 1898, and in 1926 it became the largest producer of rubber. Goodyear's offer also includes other chemical and rubber products. The company conducts commercial activities worldwide.
