Nokian Tyres WR D3

I bought Nokian WR D3 For normal use in the winter is very positive. I get the impression that they could not be perfectly balanced - slight vibrations occur in the vicinity of 110 - 120 km / h. Tragedy is not but it is not pleasant. On packed snow certain, even with a significant slope surface can not move. They give a sense of comfort - quiet and well suppress inequality. Nokian WR D3 rumble very nice (like a small jet engine) when driving on a good quality tarmac. Highway- hard to notice any sound. Very soft, comfortable and confident when cornering. From now on I will use Nokian WR D3 in all my cars in winter. I used Goodyear Ultra Grip and Nokian is not worse anyhow but it s cheaper. I can recommend Nokian WR D3 without hassle. They are really good quality tyres. I bought these tyres for my wife's car, she works on high land situated area, so when it's winter, snow are really frequent. These tyres give the car a perfect grip on snow. I really appreciate the quality of it. Bit noise but who cares, safety it's more important. I would definitely recommend these tyres. I bought Nokian WR D3 for a very good money. They are very good summer tyres. I have to addmit that I had the opportunity to drive with a bit more quiet tyres but there is no point to complain. I used yokohama C Drive and Contisport. Continentals rubbed off very quickly and Yokohama blew away. I can recommend the Nokian WR D3 - very good winter tyres. Read more Collapse

Bought these for their high wet grip rating (in real terms more important than snow for most of the time). Have had great experience with this brand in real winter conditions in the past. Not disappointed. In fact they work OK in the dry too, if a little understeery, but that is partly due to smaller wheel/higher section chosen for the winter. Read more Collapse

I gave 4 because I did not have the opportunity to test these tyres in hard winter conditions. I bought them because I have been using them for years and I cannot say anything bad about these tyres. Nokian WR D3 have very good appearance and give also good drive-ability, car sticks to the road, especially on the slush. I was amazing with braking on the icy surfaces. Price corresponding to quality. I am not sure, how long tread will resist, but at this moment I fully recommend Nokian WR D3 to drivers, who cares about safe driving. Read more Collapse

I bought Nokian WR D3 at the Autumn 2012. On dry and wet surfaces Nokian WR D3 have perfect grip. During the braking, even the violent one, wasn't any ABS reaction. I felt really safe. I bought my first Nokian WR D3 in Autumn and there were no reviews. I put them onto my Toyota Avensis T25 kombi. Very comfortable and quiet tyre. I do not feel any swings or grip loses while cornering. Sometimes I even reach the maximum speed of 135MPH. Nokian WR D3 is a realy good tyre. It works perfectly in winter conditions. Nokian WR D3 tyres has very nice look. I was very found of them during the last winter, but it wasn't very hard. Nokian WR D3 are very quiet and they give high driving comfort. When I first saw the videos on the Nokian website I was a little sceptical at first but on purchasing the tyres I soon realised they were outstandingly good. Whatever weather was thrown at them the grip was amazing. Driving in snow and ice was like driving on a road on a Summers day. Would definately buy these again. Read more Collapse

This is my second set of Nokian tyres. I was so impressed with the first set that I replaced them when they wore out. These tyres are quiet and give a good feel when on either wet or dry. Fuel economy was better than my summer tyre. Won't use anything other than Nokian for winter tyres now. Very satisfied. Read more Collapse

I thought that Nokian WR D3 will not disappoint me but I was wrong. very low traction in winter conditions... realy poor when comparing to my Dunlop sport. They were 6 years old and they never disapointed me. Nokian WR D3 are much worse than Dunlopss. I dont recommend. these were my last Nokians. Read more Collapse

Nokian WR D3 are really good winter tyres. On the snow and snowdrifts sticks to the road perfectly. There is no reason to dig at any occasion. Used on Subaru Outback in Sheffield hills and Derbyshire in thick winter snow. Fantastic grip in snow and great in the dry. Used nokian tyres years ago on Impreza and they were great then. Only negative was they took a lot of weights to balance but no vibration when driving even at speed. Read more Collapse

These tyres work very well on a big, heavy mk1 V70. A little noisier than the summer tyres due to the tread block pattern needed to grip and shed in winter conditions. I did not use Nokian WR D3 but I want the potential buyers to pay attention to the fact that Nokian WR D3 is a very stiff tyre (almost like a summer tyre). In comparison to my wifes tyres (Fulda Montenero 3) Nokian WR D3 feels like made of concrete. It may be caused by the 99/ XL indexes. Read more Collapse

I was surprised how good Nokian WR D3 are! Great grip on the snow ad slush. A little bit worse on ice, but who knows the tyres which are perfect on ice? I bought set of four Nokian VRd3 winter print and can say this is the best choice for this price! Before them I had Good Year UG7 witch is better tyre but the price too. The Nokian is perfect on wet and dry asphalt, very good grip and breaking. Comfortable with a low noise level at all. Read more Collapse

During what was a pretty bad winter I happily drove in the Peak District between Derbyshire and Sheffield on a daily basis on untreated roads. Tyres don't let you down and on occasion the only other cars I encountered were 4x4s so extreme were the weather conditions. Read more Collapse

I have Nokian WR D3 for the second season right now. In my powerfull car (220bHp) they drive very nice. The grip is ok on the snow, mud and water. Nokian WR D3 behave well while braking on wet road. My next winter tyres would be Nokian WR D3 as well. Read more Collapse

If you can't get though the snow with these tyres then putting chains on wont make any difference! Very impressive. These tyres on my little kangoo 4x4 made for much easier and safer driving than my Range Rover on standard m+s tyres. Read more Collapse

Nokian WR D3 215/60R16 99 H XL. I bought a set of four in 2012... 3 of them were uneven. No chances to balance them, they pull to the sides. Obviously that I returned them to the seller. Read more Collapse
