On ice like on ice. There is no good ice tyre. If it's about snow and wet surfaces than compared to Debicas and Kormorans and some Austrian brand (I can't recall the name) Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 is a completely different story. I didn't have to use snow chains this year, where I used them in the previous years. They sure are quiet and rather comfy. I haven't done enough miles to judge their wear levels, however so far, it's looking well. I definitely think it was money well spent. When it comes to the performance of Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 I did about 100-120 mph in various conditions (dry, wet, part snow). I sure was a little scared but they offer so much confidence, even at such speeds. I am not disappointed.

Well, the Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 is a rather good tyre, although it looks kinda awkward. I have them for two seasons now and I find them brilliant. No problems with overtaking, even when it's snowing. Relatively quiet, both in wet and on dry. Good pull, the engine is just 1.3 diesel but it has 170Nm and the car weighs only 1150kg. If you drove a diesel before you know what I mean. I had Barum Polaris 2 before and these are at least a class better, not to mention debicas...For the whole Winter season ABS didn't have to inrevene.

When looking at the treat pattern at first I wanted to stay away from Continental ContiWinterContact TS800. However, after the first few miles I can honestly say only Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 and no other! Compared to Fulda Cristal Montero 2 you don't even feel when the ABS kicks in. It offers ample grip on slippery surfaces and is stable through the corners - goes exactly where you point it. Ice, snow or almost floded with rain makes no difference. Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 copes easily. It is a bit worse when there is slush on the road but still its grip is good enough.

Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 was a right choice for my car - stiff suspension and the tyres are rather soft. The previous owner had these tyres on for two years (yes, during warm summer months as well) and so I had to replace two of them. They were a bit expensive but luckily I needed only two. Driving on snow is great. Not even once did it lose traction, even when I trashed it around a little and tried to do some drifting. Turly outstanding grip. My previous car was a Renault 19 with some debica tyres and they coped quite well, especially in heavy snow and when driving "dynamicly" ;). I used all-season tyres but the expeience here was rather bad, so I won't be getting them any more. Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 is a right choice and I belive I will stick to this model.

I think that if you can find Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 at a competitive price it could be a right choice. What I like here it the compromise between certain parametres in Winter conditions, which is what I find a priority. They offer good pull in snow and the braking is satisfactory as well. They do wear a bit quicker and have higher rolling resistance than the tyres I used in the past, however this is not a priority. In general, I think they are worth recommending. Although, when I chose my tyres I look at ADAC tests first and then check my wallet. :)

I bought the Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 tyres here at Oponeo last year. I was looking for something not that cheap and I based my search on the opinions available here as well. I was looking for a good brand so I chose Continentals. I am very pleased with the purchase. The whole process of placing an order on-line is astonishingly good. Something about the tyres, though. At the beginning I haven’t had too many opportunities to test their performance (is was rather dry). And so I waited for the first snow and had to wait until new year’s eve. I knew they were good both on wet and dry tarmac, but it wasn’t until I had a chance to drive on snow and icy roads when I saw that paying a few extra pounds was a right choice. Obviously, in such conditions you don’t drive like if it was dry but still I didn’t expect such grip. The Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 offers safety and good control over the car. I think I can easily recommend them to anyone. They may be a bit louder than summer tyres but I would say that it depends on the actual size of the tyre. I can’t really assess the abrasion or the rolling resistance, yet. As for me, I have no complains.

Very good tyre. Continetnal ContiWinterContact TS800 handles on wet and dry roads. Braking on the snow is relatively good. No problems with climbs. As for ice, if you don't have a studded one then there is no good tye. This one copes though. Steering is not rater good, but not ideal. This is, however, quite subjective opinion as I use low profile tyres in summer. Worth recommending.

It is summer already but I have made throughout the whole winter on Continental ContiWinterContact TS800; there was not much snow but I can definitely say that the tyres are great. Sure grip and handling in almost every conditions. Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 are not the cheapest available but are worth their price. My wife is also driving this car with our child inside and I was not affraid when it was snowing or raining. You can't save upon safety of your family. I have some comparison with Nokian, Fulda, but Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 are simply the best. Recommended!

I would definitely recommend Continental ContiWinterContact TS800. I have them for 2nd season already and I'm very pleased. The same way of driving (you cant race in the snow and ice) on all surfaces - cool. Firmly holding on to the corners. wearing .. hm after about 6000 miles still do not see to be any larger gaps. As for me, those tyre is an excellent tyre. I would recommend.
