Dunlop Grandtrek Touring A/S - User reviews

On the basis of the winter period, I can say that the tyre has proven to work well on snow and ice, both on the road and in offroad. Compared with other winter tyres we use, it is quiet and has good grip to the road, which results in good driving comfort.

Tyres judge very well. There were problems with balancing. I checked with a number of fitters.

Very good, quiet tires with high level of comfort and maximum safety. On a wet road surface off the brake path is s bit too long. So take care there.

Buna road grip and light dirt. To be evaluated on snow and mud.

In my assessment of these tyres, I focused not on the noise or their looks, but I don't have any issues in that regard. The tyre looks great and I couldn't hear anything while driving. Driving comfort is high, on quick cornerning or during braking I felt stable and sure while driving (of course that is also partly thanks to the car) - both on dry and wet surfaces. I'm waiting for winter to decide how the tyres perform on snow. So far, they're performing excellently.

Originally I wanted to purchase different tyres - but they were not available. I bought Dunlops - I admit to being a bit suspicious after looking at the tread, which seemed to me more like a summer highway tyre rather than a good universal one - and I do not regret the choice. Tyres performed excellently this winter - I had no issue in driving out of snow piles, several times I drove on more serious offroad. In general, obstacles proved to not be an issue - even if snow, sand or mud reached the axles and above - which isn't often the case for every SUV and every M+S tyre.

I haven't been driving on them for long yet but in comparison to the previous (a winter/summer set) these perform more than sufficiently. This is not affected by relatively large engine power (230 hp). Car is not hitching (without electronics), acts stable. Winter wasn't really felt but I commute via a road that's not desnowed and traction was maintained while starting, neither were there signs of weird behaviour on snow/ice.

I used Dunlop tyres on different cars, Skoda Octavia Combi (Dunlop Winter Sport 3D) where they performed amazingly in winter, right now I have these tyres on a SUV and I'm very satisfied. I changed them from Goodyear Wrangler (which came on the vehicle, but were very noisy). But back on the topic, Dunlops are great on dry surfaces, very good on wet (cornering grip on bends), winter and ice are no challenge for them. I'm not sure how large a part the car plays in this (Hyundai Tucson 4x4) but I'm not afraid to drive on deep snow or large mud puddles. I can always exit those, so with clear conscience I recommend these tyres.

B. good on dry and wet roads. Poorly on the ice, but it is a tire-season, so do not be required of her too much. Well hold on bends, short braking distance, quiet. I would recommend using mostly driving around town and in easy terrain.
