    Opinion from outside the UK

This is the third set of summer tyres in my car, first there were OEM Dunlop tyres, then Bridgestones. I've covered 4500 km on these tyres and I don't see any major differences compared to the branded ones. Right after fitting them, for the first 50 km they made a slight noise in corners, then it went away. There were no problems with balancing, they fitted very quickly on the rims and nothing disturbing happened. The fastest I could do was 180 km/h in the dry and 150 km/h in the wet. And I can tell you that they are a sensation. They drain water very well in the rain. They are minimally louder than the previous ones (maybe because I listen to them more now), but not really loud. If they are ever available again, I will buy them for sure. You won't buy anything better for the price, and in fact I think paying a horrendous amount for branded tyres is cheating the manufacturers. Regards Read more Collapse

cornering grip beyond expectations. Very good directionality. Good tyre design in general and larger contact area than other tyres of the same size. Surprising durability in km. However, they are at fault for noise and fuel consumption. Read more Collapse

Great tyres for a small price, they maintain grip on the road with a slightly lowered suspension. Driving on the road is great, as if the car was sticking to the asphalt. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought the tyres in August 2013, I drove about 30 thousand km on them. At that time they cost less than 300 PLN each, which is one of the cheapest, so I did not expect anything from them, but I am very surprised with their quality. I have a positive opinion about the grip on both dry and wet surfaces, they don't squeak, they don't slip when starting off or when braking, unfortunately they are not very durable, but that's probably why they grip so well. I think they will last for another 20 thousand km at the most, and then I will have to change them, although I would like to point out that I mainly use the car on highways at high speed. I should also add that they are relatively quiet, they don't throb at all, even after a considerable mileage. Being new, they did not require excessive weighting, also after a whole season a minor adjustment was enough. For those who drive fast, I would add that 250km/h does not make much of an impression on them. Read more Collapse

Purchase made rationally in view of driving style. The tyre is quiet even at high speeds. In wet conditions it can break traction on a curve when accelerating hard, but even 3x more expensive Pirelli tires react like this. This is my second set of oriental tyres, the previous ones were from Taiwan and after 30k they still had about 7mm on them. I am not keen on labels or brands, so I bought Phi. The quality/look/price ratio is sensational. If I had the opportunity I would love to test them on a track to feel the limits of grip. In civilian use nothing bad happened on the road. I really recommend it, because I think that 3-5 years are more than enough for a small man and it lasts about 50-60 thousand km. One disadvantage in my opinion: 7 mm tread in the middle, about 4-5 mm on the sides. I don't know about other brands in 225/45/18 size, because maybe this size is like that, but if other brands have 8 mm tread. Read more Collapse

Accelera PHI

The Accelera PHI is an economical solution designed for use in sports cars. In order to ensure a faster driving experience, the designers have used an innovative rubber compound, which offers optimal performance at high temperatures, allowing for the tyre to be used for longer. This means that the tyre does not wear quickly and maintains its optimal performance specifications for longer.

The special, asymmetric tread design with additional reinforcement ensures resistance to mechanical damage and deformation at high speeds. The tread design also features simple grooves responsible for good steerability and protection against damage. The reinforced shoulders maintain driving stability in all weather conditions. The tread grooves allow for effective water dispersal, as well as reducing tyre temperatures at high speeds, minimising the risk of aquaplaning and maintaining optimal safety levels.

Accelera is an Indonesian company that specialises in the production of economy tyres. It is noted for its balanced performance on any surface, its affordable price and its durability. The brand produces tyres for passenger cars, lorries, buses, SUVs and off-road vehicles.
