This model is the ideal solution for mid to high-end vehicles with a high-performance engine. The Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 ensures an excellent driving experience on both wet and dry surfaces. Due to its asymmetric tread, the model quickly disperses water and maintains outstanding grip in all conditions, thanks in large part to the innovative 3D grooves, which reduce braking distances, dispersing water more quickly and thus minimising the risk of aquaplaning. This 3D technology also ensures better tyre stability.

The Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is more resistant to deformation and mechanical damage, resulting in greater driving comfort and better overall steerability. This model is made from an innovative compound, designed to extend the tyre's lifetime and ensure good grip, whatever the weather. This all means that the Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is also exceptionally safe when travelling at high speeds, meeting the expectations of those drivers who see this as a key issue when selecting tyres. Its improved design and optimised contours help ensure better driving stability and improved steering precision. The model also reduces noise levels thanks to a tread design that effectively muffles sound. Rolling resistance is also reduced, resulting in lower fuel consumption and extending the model's lifetime.

    Opinion from outside the UK

I’m driving a lot for a passenger car driver and use lots of cars for that. I have a really good comparison when it comes for tyres of different producers and similar sizes. For me Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 in size 205/55R16 is close to an ideal tyre. I can’t feel ABS work on dry road and I have brakes of 312mm on the front and 256 in the back – like Audi S3. Good handling and grip on bands. Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is ideal when starting even with my 189HP and 390 Nm car. Continental ContiPremiumcontact 2 is very silent at every speed. Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 has one thing which other sport tyres doesn’t have: it puts out every roughness and holes on a road. On wet road holds road very good ( by far only Uniroyal RainSport was similar ). Aquaplaning just doesn’t exist for Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 and when it drifts you still have time to react. Besides, riding on a wet road is very silent. Buying Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 I knew they might wear quite fast – I didn’t mind. I only wanted to have good rubber parameters and comfort of driving. So far I drove about 15000 miles and still 60-65% tread left. So durability is normal as other premium class tyres. I really recommend buying Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 as they are worth every single pound spent on them. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 has two faces. If the tread is over 6mm than Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is very good on dry road – perfect on wet ground. Waterholes are not able to slow my car down and Aquaplaning doesn’t exist. When driving aggressively, car acts like being glued to the road on bands and while braking grants you full control. You can’t feel any roughness on tyres 225/60. Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 looks good even if it is worn a bit. I reached 4.6mm after 2 seasons on one pair and 5.3mm on the other and still very good on dry road, however it feels like losing its idealness when braking. When it goes for driving Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 on wet road it is a large risk: aquaplaning doesn’t exist but it loses its grip on bands and while driving it feels like driving on an ice. When snow suddenly felt, I didn’t manage to exchange the tyres and was driving 3 days on them. It is not possible to ride them on snow – car had to be pulled out of the snow and brakes not working... Resuming: due to a high price and fast wear I wouldn’t buy Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 next time. Read more Collapse

The car the tyres are fitted to is an Alfa 156, distance driven is one season, 30 thousand miles. Previously I had Fulda EcoControl tyres. I bought them because of the test results, and I have to say that after this purchase, I stopped to believe tests. of course, there's no tragedy, but they are not worth the money, after changing from Fuldas (much cheaper) I have to say that Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s aren't any better, immediately after fitting they were pretty cool, but unfortunately they quickly began to lose their properties. The most annoying thing is squealing in corners, which is, according to me, worse than average from the beginning, and becomes more severe as the distance driven increases despite moderate abrasion. When it comes to braking, it's quite good, the tyre grips fairly well when starting, behaviour on a wet road is at moderate level. I think the biggest advantage is low abrasion - after 35 thousand miles there's still half of tread. Unfortunately, the drop of the properties is as strong as for example at Fulda's life span's end. I didn't notice any difference in fuel consumption. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

When it comes to grip on dry and wet, noise, handling, Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is flawless. It gives a particularly good impression on wet (fitted to a car with a powerful engine). However, there's a "but" of a different kind. I had bad luck and received faulty tyres. They vibrated and there were problems with balancing. Balancing attempts in numerous workshops brought no result. I even got new rims to make sure it's only the tyres' fault. I ended up sending complaint to the manufacturer. And here's the problem: it was unsuccessful. According to some wise guy in Continental the tyres are OK (?!). So, definitely no more Continental. Not because they do bad tyres - I think they're good - but the way of attitude to the customer. I understand that and "accident at work" can happen but I can't come to terms with a total lack of respect for the customer. I threw 300 pounds down the drain. So, I don't discourage you from buying their tyres, but you do it at your own risk - if anything happens, don't count on manufacturer's support. Read more Collapse

If any new, better tyres don't appear on the market, my next purchase will surely be Continental ContiPreminumContact 2 again. Distance traveled - not much, 10 thousand miles, so it's hard for me to give an objective assessment of all categories, especially because I did not have. any "emergency situations" on wet / dry surface. I guess the only drawback is abrasion (after a year tread loss is up to 2 mm, they should do fine for 5 seasons); supposedly they should get into aquaplaning, however I didn't notice anything (and I hope I won't!). For me, it's a good tyre, the most universal summer tyre of good quality. When buying tyres, I took into account almost all models from Nokian through Continental ContiPremiumContact 1, Pirelli (mixed opinions!) to Kleber and Barum Bravuris, maybe except Michelins (too expensive, the price is not justified by quality!). maybe only Bridgestone Turanza ER 300 are as good,. better (?), more expensive and louder. I I recommend Contientals. Read more Collapse

Sometimes, I drive fast, but not always. Most of the distance I cover is made in the city, but sometimes I get to drive a route of 1500 - 2000 miles. After covering such distance the tyre was fine, but at first I wasn't satisfied. The tyres were very noisy and not very well stick to the surface, especially on wet. I had a feeling the tyres were very hard. I had the impression that the grooves of the tread are not rounded as it's determined by the profile of the tyre, but they are flat, and because of that the feeling was like you drove on rough surface. And they didn't grip well in the rain, especially on the pavement. But then they wore off a bit and adjusted. Now I can drive safely, but I don't have full confidence in them. I rate the current state, and if I assessed them after the purchase, it would be 3 - 2. Generally the tyres didn't meet my expectations fully. I had much better tyres, for example, Firestones and Pirellis. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

At this price, Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is really one of the best tyres for the summer! Excellent grip in dry conditions - braking from 60 MPH with full force doesn't cause ABS to switch on. Acceleration is as good, it's hard to lose grip. In the corners they give great feeling of confidence and allow full control of the car, there are no surprises which happened to me earlier on Michelins - the car suddenly bregins to swerve off its track without any apparent reason. As for driving on wet, I think that it's good, but could be better, a large amount of water and a corner are conditions in which you need to watch out. The tyres very quiet and comfortable. I don't know what is the level of durability, two weeks after fitting I got a nail puncture - but this can be classified as "bad luck". When it comes to abrasion, after 7000 miles there is no visible sign of tread loss. Read more Collapse

I bought it in 2007 for a Passat with a 1.6 100 HP engine. Back then my odometer clocked about 60 000. Today, in August 2010 I have about 4 mm of tread, and about 120,000 on the meter. It's time for replacement. I drove only in the season. More distance was done in the summer, and I think I drove between 35,000 and 45,000 miles. I don't know if it's a good result. During that time, only once I drove on the nail and after patching everything is OK. Apart from that was no mechanical damage. As for me, they are a little too loud, and they were from the beginning. The rest is fine. Now, however, when the tread has worn off, it's very easy to get into aquaplaning and skid when braking in the wet. That's why I have to look for new tyres. I'm looking for something else. I think it's because of the noise they generate. I don't know what I'll get, maybe the next ones will be quieter. Read more Collapse

The tyre is worth the money spent on it, but like all reinforced and "fast" tyres - 97 W XL - it's very expensive. But on the road they are sensational, a level higher than Dunlop SP Sport 01s I previosly had, and they are better because of driving comfort. Shock absorbing is comparable to the a soft winter tyre with great driveability, you can do a lot at high speeds. Every day I drive in accordance to road rules on rough surfaces, and also I do over 130 MPH on a smooth, long straight :) Everywhere the behaviour is exemplary, during a heavy downpour I had a feeling I had no water under the wheels at all. I wanted to buy Yokohamas or Bridgestones but I do not regret that I chose Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s. (Even on fresh snow that surprised me in the middle of March, a new summer tread did fine :) I definitely recommend. Read more Collapse

Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s are the best tyres which I ever drove on. Sensational in sharp corners, give a sense of confidence and a reserve of velocity. In the ruts 0he car goes smoothly. On my previous tyres, Goodyear Venturas and Ultragrip 6s it was a constant struggle. Very quiet and comfortable, they don't hum in high speed corners like Venturas and don't fall into side slides (at the same speed) or when accelerating. To sum up, on dry 2 ranks higher than Venturas, comparable on wet, which is very good. Venturas were only better when it comes to appearance. Abrasion isn't also their great advantage, but Venturas were also supposed to wear off quickly, and I did 45 thousand miles on them, and they were not spared. So far I only used Goodyears, now I suggest to check this tyres out - you won't be desappointed. Read more Collapse

I've been using Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 tyres since June, and I did about 6 thousand miles in the city and outside it (in terrain it rather was just a few miles) and rather have no objections to them except that they are really loud, but I guess you have to get used to it and as for me, they could absorb bumps a little bit better. The rest of the parameters is fine in my opinion. During the period of use I had 2-3 emergency brakings (including one on wet) and the tyres didn't slide, braking distance was short, and with my driving (I rather don't drive quickly) I do not have objections to holding on bends, etc. In short, I can recommend. I was able to buy them at a very good price, and if I ever I get to have such a promotion, ir's possible that I'll get them once again. Read more Collapse

This is the second set of Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s I use, I bought them again because I am very satisfied with them! Great road grip, taking corners, no matter if it's dry or wet (of course as much as common sense is concerned) is not a problem for them. And when it comes to braking, they do sensationally, even when I had to emergency brake on the motorway from over 80 MPH to zero. They absorb bumps perfectly, and the water drainage is sensational :) They are very quiet. As I mentioned before, this is my second purchase of these tyres (on previous set I did about 45k miles) and certainly I will buy them again :) I'm using an Octavia and my brother has an Audi 80, we are both very pleased :) Good price and great quality - the tyre is definitely worth recommending! I bought the tyres in the spring of 2007, and as early as 3 season ride on them. I can honestly write that before I purchased these tyres, I looked through a lot of offers and opinions. Eventually, I decided to buy Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s because of their handling, user reviews and decent price in their range. Now I can say that the choice was definitely accurate, I practically don't have any objections about the use, and I did over 20k miles on them. Their look may not be impressing, but they do their job very well on dry and wet. Previously I had Matadors - the Continentals are way better, and for winter I have Barums - they are also way different in use (not taking into consideration the fact that that the winter tyres are louder). I recommend. Read more Collapse

I am surprised by the approach of some users who try to assess the tyre not on the basis of their driving impressions, but on the basis imaginary theoretical thoughts. I did about 25k miles on these tyres, mostly on long routes. The tyres do very well on both dry and wet pavement. The reviews of tread pattern indicating its poor behaviour in the wet should be assessed on your own. I can assure that the grip in the corners is brilliant. It's worth to emphasize that the tyre is very quiet. When it comes to abrasion, after 25 thousand miles the tread loss is clearly visible, but the level of 2 mm (in someone's assessment) must be an exaggeration... Overall, I can recommend Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

So far they are great, but I can say that after straightening one of my alloy wheels I had to do geometry adjustments, becausethe tyres would wear off rather quickly. Abrasion certainly won't be the same as in the OEM tyres sold in the showroom, because there's a bigger emphasis of safety and driving comfort these days. Besides, I didn't do much distance on them, but I can see that they are fine in exstreme situations. Today, on wet, despite a relevant distance from the car in front of me I braked from over 40 to zero I didn't drive into Mercedes' trunk. (They have much better brakes than a Skoda: P); noise is inaudible, behaviour in bends and handling is great. I'll assess them again for some time again, I think :P Read more Collapse

I drive a lot, I've been driving for 20 years now and I have used many tyres and these ones are pretty good, I can't say they're brilliant. The car goes well and cinfidently grips the road. They behave very well in wet conditions such as an unexpected puddle on the road - they don't slide immediately, as many other tyres in this size do! The drawback is their rapid wear, because after 15000 miles I could feel their wear while driving (especially on wet), and after 25000 miles the tread is 2 mm! - this is a good wearing result for the speeds I drive at, because for example Goodyears and Uniroyals wear off even faster, not to mention how quick they slid! I bought these tyres over a year ago (here I have to praise the online shop for a quick and efficient execution of the order) and I'm very satisfied with the purchase. These tyres behave very well in both wet and dry conditions, which gives high driving comfort even at high speeds. The tyres are very quiet and they absorb even large bumps very well. I have a good comparison because previosly I also used Continentals of "previous" generation and I have to admit that the Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s have more advantages (especially when it comes to noise level). Also, I can say that it was worth it to make a purchase of ContiPremiumContact 2s. Read more Collapse

Behavior on dry and wet pavement is very good (I'm not speaking about the ruts with a few-inch layer of water because the grip in such situation is obvious), the noise level is a maximum of 4 out of 5 to me, and when it comes to abrasion, I can't complain as I did about 35-40 thousand miles on them (front wheel drive car). I bought two used tyres in very good condition which covered about 25 thousand miles, and the rear did about 55-60 thousand and will still do well for one season. I'll probably not buy a third set as I'll be looking for something more comfortable, but I can recommend Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

Very good tyres. Aquaplaning reduction is better than in any winter ones. Quiet, soft tyres. I recommend them to Passat owners because of comfort, taking into account the high cost of the suspension arms. I have them on my second car, previously I had 225/55R16 and they were great, despite the size the handling was perfect. Maybe there are tyres which don't wear off so quickly, but they are certainly less comfortable and not at this price. I can recommend Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s with a clear conscience and don't believe that you can get a good tyre in budget class. Better wait for a discount and buy them here. Best summer tyres I've driven on so far! The size is 205/60R15 and the tyres are fitted to a 125 HP Audi A3. I did about 7 thousand miles on them and I've never been disappointed. They grip very well on dry and on wet. Even if the pavement is very dirty and muddy, they are doing very well. I can't even remember the last time I had ABS switch on when braking. Even during aggressive starts the tyres grip sensationally. Previously, I had some Dunlops, Debicas and recently Yokohamas. Yokohamas were very good for me, but after changing to Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s I can see the difference (Contis are better). Read more Collapse

I bought two of Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 for the front and this time I’ve decided to change the back also. I’m not saying that Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is the best tyre in the world but wanted them to look good and not like defected. Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is soft but sidewall are more stable than previous models from Continentals. I am astounded by braking abilities of Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 both on dry and wet road: ABS is off and, unlike Pirelli, no noise and full control. I will buy Continental TS 830 or 850 for winter cuz they are better than my Norwegian tyres. Read more Collapse

I have assessed Continental ContiPremiumContact 2s once and now I can only say that these tyres are great in practically every way. Extremely stable, predictable and comfortable at the same time. Maybe they lack aggressiveness a little bit, and for typical sports cars I'd choose herder tyres. But to my 170 HP BMW they fit perfectly. One important thing is to maintain the proper air pressure and check it regularly. On the rear I apply a little more pressure and thanks to that the car takes corners better. For winter, I'll probably also buy Continentals, probably a TS810 or a newer one, if it comes out. Read more Collapse

After the previous ( horrors ) Pirelli P6000 Powerenergy I feel like in paradise. Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 are comfortable, quiet, stick to the road and securely, no matter whether it is dry or wet. I rode the pouring rain home from work in the ruts, and nothing - as if a dry day before. well suppress small inequalities - cracks in asphalt or paving stones. What to wear - I know Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 will not survive 100,000 - but something for something. Good adhesion = rapid wear. If you want to ride whole life on the same set I recommend Russian Kama! Read more Collapse

Vey nice tyres - really nice sterring and feel, excelent cornering in the dry - and really grip well in the wet. Breaking is very good wet or dry. Sadly they fall behind in the snow or on mud - the straight line grooves just slip through the snow and fail to get a grip Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Hi all. I bought some time ago these tires. The decision was dictated by opinions. Now describe how it is really. If someone before he traveled to Tyre class "budget" is these tires will be praised to the skies. But if someone has likes to ride fast but use common sense and to this he traveled earlier to Dunlop, Michelin, Goodyear it will be very disappointed. Riding already a little on Conti and I compared, because they pointed out that tire defects. Traction on dry and wet conditions could be improved. lateral (roundabout, arcs) on dry even as a shadow can not. In contrast, the wet you need (especially those who are accustomed to good tires) really careful. Romanian Uniroyal 185/65/14 fared better. The tire has the disadvantage that the rubber is hard and once we going after quite a rough road-surface tire is not on impact with properly. I drove in hot (not bys stood barefoot) relatively smooth asphalt and then braking effect rub against the tire "premium", but only then. Also lovers of Subaru, Honda, Maserati, etc., do not recommend. Too bad life. If someone wants to wear the Passat, Vectra, etc., And ride to work every day, with fixed time, fixed speed and see you inscription "Continental" it will be good. I suspension and all angles in geometry for a medal herds obieektywna rating. Is this my last Conti? So, get rid of jaknajszybciej and go on Bluerespone which really need to make an effort to break up adhesion. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Hello, uses the tire from 3 seasons, I drove on it for more than 40 thousand so I can say something about it. Namely, it is very good. Class itself, in dry conditions is holding up as sticky, and the sharp turns are not a problem at all. On wet roads can afford a bit of giddiness as tire forgives a lot. By puddles total straight. Lest it was so colorful, while 3 had to postpone the season, back to front, the super grip has its price. Besides, after the spacer was made a very loud noise, the back was a little rented and some will last until it matched the front. I notice also repeated properties tires on mokrym.mam now about 3-4km of the tread. That is why I drive them to the end of the season. Price new approx $ 500 for my size. At this price I'll try to break Dunlop sp sport blueresponse. I hope that my review useful to someone. Yours. Read more Collapse

On these tires, I drove about 60,000 km, after this course with a clear conscience I can recommend these tires to other users. The tire quiet and sticks to the asphalt like a stick, niestraszne the high speeds of the order of 200km / hai with emergency hamowaniach with such high speed is stable. Cornering at high speeds is not a problem, just like driving with speeds of motorway in the rain. As for the abrasion it is not bad, but after beating w / w km tire had to be replaced. I bought these tyres only 3 months ago and I made them around 5000 km. Overall, I would recommend, the only thing that pisses me off is the noise. The smart tire is two different sizes, fortunately everything was managed by the shot and the tire was delivered by courier to the plant which, according to the agreed plan, installed it. The tires protect the rims which in the case of the smart is of great importance because after "catching the rubber" protect the aluminum rims (smart does not have a spare wheel). I recommend them because this is the second set and they are doing great. I got both sizes on oponeo and I'm happy with the transaction. Read more Collapse

Without significant reservations. Deep grooves and the central path of the water makes aquaplaning is small. A dampens noise asymmetry cuts rolling. Perform well at various temperatures. The only caution - some specimens require a strong balance, but they then hear (not feel) more noise, throbbing, which may interfere with the well-silent car. One such tyre I went, the wheels need balancing every 8-10 thousand km to avoid surprises. Appearance of the tyre is OK, as the high-end. Generally, I recommend! Read more Collapse

15000 km is not enough to objectively evaluate the tyre behavior under different conditions, particularly as a number of other factors significantly affect ride comfort. Previous tyres, the Continental, behaved impeccably in all weather conditions, and so I decided to buy the manufacturer's tyres. Good traction and grip on the road, unfortunately, do not go hand in hand with the abrasion of tyres, but when it comes to safe driving this change every 40000 km is worth the effort. Quiet, keeps very well on dry and wet roads. Persistence difficult to assess-mileage below 20 ffm, in less than a year, almost exclusively outside the city-seems to be no significant wear. Defect rate-rated low-results from damage to one of the tires when you drive at low speed in a very big invisible hole filled with water. Sheath is damaged tires, alloy wheels without a trace. Rolling resistance also did not appreciate-on innch not driven this car, I can not compare. Regards Read more Collapse

tyres are just great. Much better than the Michelin Energy, which had started in the car factory. Continentale are quieter and much better stick to the road. On dry and rain as the vehicle drives glued to the road and turns can be overcome with much greater speed. After driving in the ruts filled with water car goes like clockwork. I do not even feel that it goes through the water :) tyres perfectly remove water. I would recommend them to anyone! Best tyres on which I rode! Read more Collapse

Continental tires are the best choice in terms of quality. Similar parameters have only Michelin and Dunlop. At the same time it is inappropriately expensive Michelin and Dunlop but slightly worse. Continental Tires recommend to all who appreciate the highest quality, while not doing the giant runs, because the tire has a large abrasion. Roughly, the tire has reached the level of 1.6 mm and was then 5/6 years has been not to exceed waveform area. 20-25 thousand miles a year. Read more Collapse

Very nice tyres, especially when driving on bends and ruts. Entry into the water in the groove in no danger of losing grip. Inhibition of the bend is also neutral. I am pleasantly surprised by the grip. The only drawback is their rapid attrition, but it can also be my fault and my car = 170 hp in a heavy wagon. After 30 000 km on the back tyres are 70% of the original, and in front of about 40%. Besides, it's the best tyres on which I rode in my life! Read more Collapse
