The Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV is the second generation of the popular premium summer SUV tyre. With this model, the American brand has focused on solutions to ensure long mileage, improved driving safety and lower fuel consumption in large passenger cars with a high centre of gravity. This has been achieved 100% and the new version in many aspects surpasses its predecessor, which debuted an equal decade earlier.
New to this tyre is Wet Braking technology, which improves vehicle braking performance on wet surfaces. This has been achieved by using a more flexible rubber compound. It enables the tread to work better, bending the tread blocks to increase the contact area with the road and remove water from under the tyre more quickly.
The second major innovation is what Goodyear calls Dry Stability Plus. The name refers to the way the tyre is constructed, which simultaneously uses a soft rubber compound and stiff ribs in the centre of the tread. This combination guarantees improved stability in dry conditions and also contributes to shorter braking distances under these circumstances.
Drivers who cover a lot of kilometres each year should be particularly pleased with the Mileage Plus technology. The American manufacturer has ensured that the tyre wears slowly and does not crack under changing temperatures. Compared to its predecessor, you will travel up to 25% more kilometres on this model.
Goodyear is one of the world's largest tyre manufacturers. In addition to the flagship tyre line, the group also includes brands such as Dunlop, Fulda, Debica and Sava. All the company's products are distinguished by their high quality and good value for money. In the case of the Goodyear model range, these are premium products using the latest technology.
