    Opinion from outside the UK

There are many positive opinions about this tire in the internet. I suspect that the authors may be people who did not use much more expensive, top models (the top model is not necessarily the top brand, though usually). Well, after converting summer tires (Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 245/40/18 - supposedly one of the quietest) for winter one, you could notice two meaningful changes: very quiet performance and quite dangerous behavior of the car in the usual, but dynamic driving. The sport suspension does not hide tire defects so the differences were immediately noticeable for me without any extreme testing. Immediately after shifting the wheels, so in identical conditions (dry surface, about 10 degrees) the braking distance increased by 50%. With decisive, but not cracking curves, the car buckled like damaged sleeves and was carried outside. On a wet surface, the braking distance is also longer than on summer tires, although not so drastically. However, there is a low aquaplaning tendency. I had no experience with snow - this year it will not be much better. The tyre could not be perfectly balanced even after 3 balancing. At frequent speed of 50-60 mph, rumbling is heard. Opinion from outside the UK

Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

A year earlier I had a 4 year old winter tyre Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D and there was a tread wear rated of about 40%. This year I bought the Imperial Snowdragon 3 tyres, but new. Sensation is completely different. These do not make any noise, these're soft, car drives through deep snow perfectly. The only drawback may be the wet pavement after a rain is you drive with a stronger, more aggressive style. A quiet trip is approx. I think it is not worth an explicit x3 or x4 for the price, in order to have a string of Dunlop or Michelin. Winter tyres certainly should be changed approximately every four years because the rubber hardens. In my opinion it's better to buy new cheaper tyres than used high-performance tyres. And you have to know that this is not some kind of no name Chinese tyre. Imperials are products of Deldo, only Belgian manufacturer. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I enjoy quite aggressive driving style, but also comfort. I do not have a sports jam or conducting scientific research on the tyres. I rate the tyre as a user relative to my experiences with others, competitive. Well, I think that to have just a little better driving experience you must spend a lot of money on the tyres. Tyres well grip to wet surfaces. 2x more expensive Dunlop which I used until recently (245/40/18) weren't much better. Both were good wile cornering on wet roads and are noticeably quiet. Durability is difficult to assess - I had too little time to do so. Just on these tyres be careful with the gas in the wet corners. Even with a 4-wheel drive I can reach the bend the way much more expensive tyres do. I was able to easily overcome the ned for expensive tyres. I'm happy with these. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought these tyres to test them. In the winter season I passed about 4 thousand miles on them. I have rather dynamic driving style. Their behave on snow is fine about what I have no objections. On dry roads i also couldn't see anything that would be an issue. On a wet surface that wasn't so good. I know that winter tyres does not like water, but the tyre on a wet jet fatal. Continuous slippage, losing traction with the addition of gas, it was a defeat. As I wrote before I made about 4 thousand miles and on each tyre there was a 4 mm tread left. This is a bad result. I don't think the fault was of the car because on the previous Dayton DW510 I made about 40 thousand km and were not as badly worn like these. That may be due to the softer rubber compound.
