I would say that this is a mid range tyre, its not top of the range but personally it performs just as good if not better than some at the topoint of the range (Continental Sport Contact) The ride quality seems to be very good given these tyres are fairly low profile and coupled with sports suspension you can espect some discomfort on rougher roads but it's not the least bit unbearable. The tyres perform well in all conditions aside from snow which I have not had the chance to drive them but I will have by then switched over to winter tyres. They grip perform flawlessly on dry tarmac and very well in heavy rain, wind and even sleet, the same can be said when braking harshly, they do not seem to loose any grip, wet or dry, taking corners at speed wet or dry doesn't seem to bother them either. I work in mobile Security ND I'm covering anything up to 500 miles per week, they tyres do not seem to have lost very much in tread but I do have my vehicle tracking and balance checked regularly (2-3 months) They look very nice and sporty and they clean up well using Autglym Tyre Dressing. All in all I would highly recommend these to anyone, they are fairly cheap I think I paid around £60 per tyre. They look good they perform excellently can't go wrong with Kumho, will most likely buy the same again. Read more Collapse

For the price these tyres are incredibly hard to fault. My car use to understeer frequently in the rain and stopping distances became a concern. Looking at wet grip rating for these tyres sold them to me and they have delivered. I feel incredibly safe driving in the rain now especially cornering. They have never let me down and very easy to get to grips with their grip tolerance. They're not the quietest but if your use to cheap tyres, these are much better. I believe Kumho are essentially the same design/tread pattern as last year's Pirellis so save your money and buy these. Read more Collapse

Have not had these tyres on long enough to properly assess (1000mls). However, had Goodyear on rears before they wore out after 15000 mls in two years, but the front goodyears are still good. Have tried these on the back as they are a harder compound which I hope will ware better. My car is four wheel drive, but with a Ally body so although a big car it is fairly light in weight. As writing this notice ware on inside of front goodyears ans has a bump so will probably change by the summer and most likely put Kumho's on front. Until you try these things you never truly know. Opinion from outside the UK

Kumho KU39 is great in relation to the price, I make a comparison with the Bridgestone Turanza with reinforced shoulder that I had before. Compared to Bridgestone who were tougher and therefore more accurate and more direct, more communicative, Kumho KU39 are a little bit softer but it will do. You'd like to go fo Kumho KU39 which have an excellent grip in all situations, except in the extreme, even if not checked every snow and ice, they have little grip on slush, but it's to be expected because they are summer tires. Overall: Kumho KU39 is a more than good tyre. Read more Collapse

I researched tyres, before purchasing tyres for my car and it was the best thing i did , these are great tyres for a celica, at a reasonable price, they can be a bit noisy at times ,but my celica has been lowered so the cars not helping the grip is fantastic , so I tend to push the car a wee bit harder on the bends, only because I trust the tyres, when i first bought the car it had crap budget tyres on it and it was easy to note the difference when i replaced the tyres for kumhos , will be sticking to this brand for my celica Read more Collapse

Kumho KU39

Kumho KU39 are summer tyres designed for high-power cars. Therefore, they are classified as UHP (Ultra High Performance) or high-performance tyres. The presented tyres are included in the medium class, so they feature the best value for money rating.

Kumho KU39 has an asymmetric tread pattern which provides the best performance in such tyres. The external and internal tread section is responsible for different performance groups. Its wide circumferential grooves efficiently drain water from the crown ply, which improves the tyre’s resistance to aquaplaning. Additionally, the efficient tread drying process guarantees a better grip and driving stability regardless of the weather.

The groove arrangement in Kumho KU39 has been designed not only to improve driving safety, but also to increase the acoustic comfort during travel. The optimum structure and stiffening of tread blocks make for better sound dampening which reduces the noise generated by rolling.

The rubber compound of Kumho KU39 includes silica, which increases the grip on cool days and improves the tyre’s abrasion resistance.

The Kumho KU39 summer tyres feature a reduced weight, which limits rolling resistance. As a result, the car uses less fuel. Therefore, the tyre is economical not only because of its low price but also because they are cheap to maintain.

If you are looking for durability, reliability and balanced performance on any type of surface, this model is perfect.
