Michelin Tyres

The Michelin Group is the largest European tyre manufacturer and one of the world leaders in its industry. The company is famous for innovative solutions and brands that are trusted by customers. The company was established in France in 1889 by Michelin brothers. Currently, the group has as many as 72 production plants in 19 countries (it has been present in Poland since 1994, and its factory is located in Olsztyn). The company manufactures tyres for cars and trucks, agricultural machinery, bicycles and motorcycles. The Michelin product portfolio also includes tyres for aircraft and space shuttles. For many years, the company supplied tyres for Formula 1 – it withdrew after the end of the 2006 season.

225/70 R15 Tyres

225/70 R15 tyres are designed for different types of cars. They can be seen in passenger cars, delivery vehicles and 4x4s. The size label can be seen on the tyre's sidewall and it is provided in a form of a string of signs. The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre and it is provided in millimetres (here 225 mm). The second number equals the tyre profile's height and its percentage ratio to the tyre's tread width (70% out of 225 mm in the case of the 225/70 R15 tyre). The third number provides in inches the diameter of the wheel rim while the letter "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction. See our offer for more details on the 225/70 R15 tyre model.
