Michelin Latitude Cross

I fitted Latitude cross to my Range Rover 2 years ago and have taken it to Mongolia twice and done about 40 000 miles and this seem to be about the life of these tyres on harsh conditions. I have driven them on all surfaces ie;- Gravel sand mud sharp rocks and pot holes. 1 tyre disintegrated at about 20 000 miles but considering the conditions it was not surprising I will be fitting new ones before I take off on another trip to wild parts of the world. Previous reviews made these tyres very appealing. I was used to driving with BF Goodrich A/T. The Michelins are only slightly better and give more feedback through the wheel. They rate the same on wet and dry roads but give less body roll. They are a very bumpy ride.I have now done about 5000miles with them and may only get the same wear out them again before they need changed which is dissapointing. Good tyres for mix highway and light off-road. Good grip on wet. These may not last as long as other brands tyres but this is a compromise of extremely good grip on wet surfaces. As a light off-road tyre it is a very good grip, not best self cleaning on muddy ground but wouldn’t expect anything better from a 50/50 tyre I use them on my Nissan Navara and again very happy (25k miles annual) these will last me minimum of 2 seasons Read more Collapse

People think the chunky style of these tyres means they'll be noisy and slow on the road. That's not the case and I often get compliments about them. My tyres have a hard time with lots of slow work and much turning plus fast runs in between. Despite that, the front pair lasted more than 22,000 miles. I would recommend these tyres to anyone a great all round tyre,went to France last year they performed brilliantly,great on speed and when your of the Tarmac they perform superb. In the rain good all round grip. Read more Collapse

This is the second of Michelin Latitude Cross train that bike on my ML 320 because I was looking for a tire that was not strictly street. I tried it in all conditions and in all seasons, including snow and in my opinion is great. I must say that the noise does not interest me much, but it is a fairly quiet and comfortable tire also on the highway up to 160Km / h. Besides being an M + S but not heat, it allows me to use it all year round without having to do the summer / winter change, and is not just an advantage. Even as life, clearly reversing the tires every 8000 Km, I was fine: I walk about 25,000 km with one set of tires, which on a Mercedes ML 320 heavy and permanent all-wheel drive, it seems to me satisfactory. I bought these tires for Subaru Forester about three months ago, because I often ride in the mud, gravel, wood, etc..'s No denying that comfort is not like on normal highway tires. It is so smooth and quiet. Well hold on a dry, in the wet as any tire-road - worse, but without the drama. Very good to moderate their ride area. I was at an event offroadowym and were very good (driving on muddy sand, gravel, etc). Overall, a good compromise for me. We give little comfort in exchange for better performance in the field. I 20000kms on these tires, and I must say they are the best tires I got on my Sorento far. It better than ever driven on highways, with great comfort and very little or no road noise. Go off-road / field work are not a problem and I entered the paths and fields that I would not have put the jeep through previously. I was looking for tyres for a long time my X-Trail. The purpose was to be tyre tread strong, holding well in the field, but also to have good properties on dry and wet asphalt. And that is just the tyre. I really recommend it to all who appreciate comfort and safety, and for that they can afford to ride around the grounds. Very slowly rubs and has low rolling resistance.
