Toyo Proxes T1 Sport

Purchased these tyres off a recommendation from a family member with a BMW M3. Previously I had the Michelin pilot super sports, which I must say are very grippy, especially in the dry when they're hot. Having come from good tyres I had high standards and the Toyos didn't let me down, from cold the Toyos aren't fantastic but once you've got abit of heat in the tyre they are glued to the road. I do a lot of driving in the country lanes and windy A roads, aswell as 6 laps round the Nürburgring with the Toyos and they have stepped up to the mark, for the price they are very good. I'd like them to make the R888's in my tyre size but unfortunately they don't. In the wet they are just as good as the michelins, I run 350bhp through the front wheels so i do spin in 1st and 2nd sometimes 3rd but no tyre is going to reduce that vastly, apart from that it still handles well in the wet, but I'm yet to test the Toyos on the track in the wet. Tyres are good value and drive with confidence enhancing reassurance in both the wet and dry. Very stable when well balanced and provide a smooth drive on rough roads for a sport tyre. Purchased to replace Dunlop tyres to avoid terrible drone and uneven wear. Toyo tyres eliminate this and last just as long, say 17000 miles on the front of front wheel drive TDI. However in hard use there are longer lasting tyres, but the grip is worth it with these. In the past I have used Pirelli tyres, Good Year, etc but now only use Toyos for this car. I drove on Toyo Proxes T1 Sport about 15k miles in my BMW 735i (size 235/50R18). My driving style is very dynamical and I have huge expectations from tyres. Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are pretty silent (I think that only my last Yokohamas in my Merc w203 were a bit more silent). They provide me with good handling and they stick to the road very well. Aquaplaning appears only with bigger rain puddles at high speeds. I cannot judge the durability as I drove about 2k on them, but for now on no ovisible signs of usage are visible on my new Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. Read more Collapse

First time I have used these tyres and overall quite impressed. They have never let me down in wet or dry conditions. I haven't tested them in winter as I switch to winter tyres but a good summer tyre for a family car. Shame they don't make the previous T1R any more as I think that was a little bit better tyre. The only downside on the T1S is the sidewalls are a little soft so not the best tyres for a heavy or for a very aggressive driving style. Read more Collapse

Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are very good tyres for those who like offensive driving style. In the size 215/55R16 the noise is unavoidable. Their grip is very good. I cannot say too much about the attriction as I made only 10k on them. For now I can trully say that Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are very good. It is very hard for me to judge their damping as I have a bit stiffer suspension so I can feel road inequalities a bit more. Read more Collapse

I've used Toyo on my last 3 cars and always found them grippy reasonably priced and a great looking tread pattern, when I got my slk it had the merc recommended continental tyres which I've always hated because if they are not hot there's virtually no grip at all especially in the damp and wet. Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are not that good as described above. All of my four new tyres have side wobbling. Balancing helps only for about 80 miles and it starts wobbling again. To sum up those tyres are ok for track, they grip is awesome on dry tarmac. I do not recomend Toyo Proxes T1 Sport to use them daily in the city. Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are just amazing. I have them out in my VW Bora 1.9TDi. Very good cornering regardless the weather condition. My car behaves like glued to the tarmac. Braking distance much shorter on Toyo Proxes T1 Sport in comparison to my previous tyres. When speeding above 100 mph the noise level is not too high. I had Toyo Proxes T1R and I was satisfied with them. I have changed my car so I had to buy new tyres as well. This time I wanted a bit more silent tyre and I decided to buy Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. I have my Toyo Proxes T1 Sport fitted not for a long time but for now I am very pleased with their quality and performance. Atm I have them in my Laguna 2.0T 163BHP. They provided me with very good grip and comfortable driving. They are relatively silent. The grip on wet and dry road tarmac is good as well. I am very pleased with those Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. Obviosuly they wear off a bit quicker than other tyres, but I am sure that the safety is on the highest possible level. The tyre just literaly informs you about the lack of grip, they dont jerk. At higher speeds Toyo Proxes T1 Sport imitate a characteristic noise of an jest whistle. Toyo Proxes T1 Sport are just dedicated to agressive driving style. I have used them without limits (high speeds, very agressing moving-off). very good grip and my car reacts pretty fast. I have chosen Toyo Proxes T1 Sport as they were a bit cheaper than yokohamas. They are very silent. Very soft I mean they dampen road inequalities pretty good. Even on wet road surface you can feel yourself pretty confident on Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. Read more Collapse

After purchasing it turned out that one of the tires can not be weighed. Different wheels, different orientations - no effect. After an exchange for another it was better (but not perfect). This model of the tires bought in autumn 2013. By the end of 2014, I made them 15 thousand. km. Looking at the tread pattern can be observed clearly its high consumption. I am very satisfied with these tires. Maybe they do not have exceptional durability but are very reliable player on both wet and allow safe driving at all times. They are perhaps a little bit noisy. After changing tires on new (previously I had the same, but authentic old and very worn) feel like rubber firmly in the asphalt and will not let go. Very predictably beat winding roads even in fast overcoming arcs. Braking is very certain. After beating about 8k not see signs of wear. Read more Collapse
