Michelin ENERGY SAVER+

I considered choosing summer tyres for a long time and, after reading through a veritable sea of information and tests of tyres with similar parameters, rolling resistance, water dispersion, quietness etc., with full understanding I chose Michelin Energy Saver+. People tend to follow suggestions so with some trepidation regarding my choice I put on new tyres on the wheels, taking full responsibility for my choice. Now, while writing conclusions and sharing with you my opinion, having driven 15 thousand kilometers I can say that tyres are 10/10. In general, I drive somewhat dynamically, whenever conditions allow for it ;), and on a good day I'm able to drive at high speeds, even way above 200 km/h. When I "broke them in" and got used to them, I can say that these are very good tyres for summer days - quiet, properly elastic, they don't bend too much on sharp curves, significantly improve the traction and comfort of the vehicle, the car steers lightly but surely, as a driver we can predict what the vehicle can achieve during braking, aaccelerating or while traversing through difficult parts of the road. Lightness of steering results in lowered use of fuel but does not mean you lose on the grip factor; on the contrary, the car has a very good grip in both rain and when it's sunny! To sum it up, if you are aware of what safety on the road, braking distance and other forces of physics occuring during driving of a car are - you will enjoy driving on Michelin Energy Saver+. Michelin Energy Saver+ first impression: silence – I had never had such qui et tyres on my car. Second impression: low torque. Third impression: after about 1300 miles Michelin Energy Saver+ had to be driven aggressively – I had a feeling like I was sliding. Right now I am riding Michelin Energy Saver+ very sure , great band handling, ABS wasn’t on a single time. The only disadvantage is ( common for every French manufacturer ) the price, lower than couple years ago. Resuming: Michelin Energy Saver+ is ideal for people who want to have a decent tyre and not a race one. I am a young driver who's had his driving licence for 7 years. I do not have much experience using many tyres from different manufacturers. For spring, I chose to purchase a set of summer Michelin tyres to have a guarantee of safety and comfort for both my loved ones and myself. The tyres turned out to be a great choice, fuel ussage dropped, to my great surprise, by 1.7l/100 km! The driving comfort is much higher than using Dębica. Tyres are very quiet, perfectly perform on both dry and in the wet. They surprised me very positively several times when I had to sharply brake. The car drives perfectly on these tyres on mountain roads full of curves. I recommend them for everyone, it's worth to invest in a good tyre in reasonable price. Read more Collapse

Tyres are a great fit for dry road but I think they perform a bit worse in the wet than Energy Saver (without the plus) I had before. However this could be due to a switch to a much heavier car. In general, I think in comparison to the previous tyres I had on Omega the difference is tremendous, so I rate them very well. During driving they speed quietly on the road - not always an even one. The car drives without any concern and one can even hear radio with speed of 160 km/h despite this being a hatchback. I recommend these tyres, I consider them to be a good investment. These tyres truly have low rolling resistance. At higher speeds, that is on the highway, they are very quiet. Of course the same applies for lower speeds. Several times I drove on them in the rain, they behave without a fault. You can sense a degree of grip and stability on both dry and in the wet. The only fault is in my opinion too high loss of the tread depth in comparison to the amount of kilometers made. After 6 thousand km, the tread depth is 6 mm on the front and 6.5 mm on the back. Namely speaking: I’ve done 100 thousand Miles on Michelin Energy Saver+. I had to purchase them cuz my previous were 8y.o. but the tread could overcome 2 more seasons. I am doing greater mileage in summer overseas I’ve decided to purchase Michelin Energy Saver+ one more time which are great in every condition: rain, heat – it doesn’t matter. The car is sliding on the road with charm. Braking distance is also very good. Concerning the fact that I have never caught a flat tyre or a puncture despite the age. Previously I owned Michelin Energy tyres, I enjoyed driving on them and in extreme conditions for their heyday they fared truly well in comparison to competing manufacturers. Thus, when it came for a change, without much hesitiation I chose the same model of the tyres, Michelin Energy Saver Plus. For me, this is the number one tyre. Previously, on a car I owned since it was brand new, these lasted me 7 years (depth of the tread) and I didn't treat them gently at all. For me it's the number one among tyres, that's why on change I placed my bets on Michelin and the same model, Energy Saver Plus, again. We'll see if they last me another 7 years :) Though after such a long time, the rubber was already brittle and tyre was starting to emit noise, but rival brands would most likely have to be changed after mere 5 years. Tyres in size 175/65R14 used by a middle-aged woman driving Toyota Yaris. Ideal for calm driving in the city and outside. Tested by me after a year of use - still great on both dry and wet, on curves and during braking. Only slight wear is noticeable and fuel saving is larger, otherwise they're as if they were brand new. I definitely recommend for small and compact cars - I had those on a company Renault Megane in size 195/65R15 and with highly aggressive driving style they also had an amazing performance. While selecting tyres, my main concern was safety. These tyres I chose are, according to a label shown on oponeo, very safe, especially on wet surface. After all summer is not only sunny weather but also rain - and constantly changing conditions. Another factor was fuel usage. In the case of these particular tyres, it is sufficient, I also took into account the noise happening while driving - it is also on a decent level. So far I only had summer PIRELLI P6000, DUNLOP, BRIDGESTONE, but so far MICHELINS are the best. I desperately wanted SAVER+ and truly have nothing to complain about. Annually, I do between 20-30 thousand kilometers; did around 10 thousand while testing them on French highways. At 160 km/h they stick to the road great, on curves the grip is fantastic and even on Polish, uneven roads (I avoided the potholes) I can say they're very good......... Read more Collapse

I didn't drive many kilometers on these tyres but from the distance I passed, I can already tell that the tyres are very quiet. They provide a high degree of safety on both wet and dry roads, even at high speeds, which is something I'm very pleased with. Tyres may not be the cheapest but it's definitely worth paying more for high quality tyres for your car, especially as that is the only part of the vehicle in contact with the road. I am delighted with these tyres, low rolling resistance are directly discernible, fuel usage compared to middle class (Falken) decreased from 7.6 to 6.4 L / 100km. The price difference between those tyres is worth paying, there's a very quick return on fuel savings. I do not have much experience when it comes to driving on different types of tyres but I think these are worth recommending, if only because that perform well on both dry and wet road. The only caveat for me is that despite the fact that the manufacturer promises they are quiet, that is not the case. They "whisper" as loud as winter tyres but you can get used to it. I haven't driven on them a long distance yet so it's hard to describe them in too much detail. I can tell that in comparison to previously used Michelin Primacy tyres, these are definitely softer and more flexible. I didn't experience any extreme situations so I'm not rating how they behave for example when braking sharply. They aren't too noisy. For everyday use they perform well. Read more Collapse

Michelin Energy Saver + is a very good tire, I am using the second set and I am very happy with this choice. I drive various sections of roads and is far different when it comes to road conditions and the quality of the surface. The tire highly resistant to abrasion, and hence is cheap, which for the average user is not without significance. Read more Collapse

The tyres are fine, they're very economic but slightly noisy. On dry road curves, the car behaves as if it was on rails - truly great. Unfortunately in the wet it's more average :(. Excellent tyre. Works very well with car's electronics (ABS, TC, EBD), I felt very confident driving both alone and with a full car. During a heavy rain, very good stability in large puddles, good grip and general behaviour. During heat, also no issues. It looks quite nice. I bought Michelin Energy Saver + because I had to reduce the impact of fuel and wear, Michelin Energy Saver + is less noisy, it car wears off very slowly, it may not be to cheap but it was worth it and I will always recommend buying the brand, I have a second car to come, it's probably time to replace those for the same. Michelin Energy Saver + are good, reliable tyres which I tested under various conditions in Poland and abroad during the trip to Montenegro. I drive a lot in different conditions - these passed the exam 100%. Even though I cannot compare them to other tyres, I don't feel the need to as why would I exchange something that performs well. Grip on the road with these tyres is really good. They are quiet, do not wear too much, even on occasional tighter manoeuvres. Immediately after their fitting, the car's aesthetics improved. I think that the Michelin Energy Saver is an excellent compromise between quality and price. The Michelin we all know that is the best brand and among the most expensive, but it is also the only one that guarantees you a life of your tires to a certain level. In the last 5 years I rode (Honda Civic) tires Yokohama AVS Decibel and Dunlop Sports BluResponse. YOKOHAMA were by far the best of these, in terms of performance on dry, wet and comfort, but in the third season appeared utilized on the steering wheel vibration and noise. Diagnosis - tires pozabkowane. Too fast for this class of tires and calm my driving style. A month ago I bought a new Toyota Corolla with a pre-folded Michelin Energy Saver + 205/55 R16. They are quiet, comfortable and safe to drive. Car is predictable and stable both on dry and wet asphalt. I hope that the stability and joy from the use of this tire will last longer than the said Yokohama. I will try to briefly. Tires purchased in 2009 as a new set of (country of manufacture Russia). Until the end of 2014 beat thoroughly 2000000 km. I'm using for a long period of time with Michelin tires, but after buying the same brand of tires Energy Saver 195/55R15 85H + driving conditions in my car much improved. The Michelin Saver + are amazing. Especially on a wet road you can see the difference from the cheaper, which previously ridden. Car holds the road like glue.
